Chapter 141 Oh no, it looks like we've stumbled into a wolf's den.

"Of course, there are many things you haven't seen."

Lacey seemed to thoroughly enjoy Lia's compliments, and grew even more proud.

She tilted her head back, as if she could fly into the sky at any moment.

Lia didn't say much, she just continued to smile and quietly looked at her.

Lacey was still looking up at the azure sky.

But why does it feel a bit shaky?

The expression on her face stiffened slightly.

Outside the room, a series of loud tremors were heard.

It felt as if the entire earth was trembling.

Lacey seemed startled and quickly shrank back, covering her ears.

"Whoa, what happened?"

"Don't be nervous, that should be the sound of our family knights training daily."

Lia explained with a smile, as if nothing had happened.

Lacey was very puzzled and looked up at Lia in surprise.

"Daily...routine training? How can it be this loud?"

"It's nothing much. Their training usually involves carrying stones, running, and some horseback riding training."

...

On the training field, a densely packed group of knights stood in formation.

Each person carries an extremely large rock on their back.

That giant rock was as tall as three or four people combined, and compared to those knights, it was as tall as a small mountain.

But the knights seemed to carry no weight at all, easily running back and forth across the huge training ground while carrying those massive stones.

After circling around once, they suddenly placed the boulder on the ground, stirring up a cloud of dust.

A sound like an earthquake echoed throughout the courtyard, as if they were trying to prove something.

A catgirl instructor wearing a drill sergeant's hat with black cat ears peeking out whistled and kept giving instructions from the side.

"Next training session! Let's continue!"

The training methods used by demi-humans in the wild are surprisingly effective for human knights.

Lia crossed one leg over the other, put one hand to her mouth, half-covering her mouth, and chuckled as she spoke.

"It's just training that any ordinary person could do."

Lacey: "..."

Lacey still had doubts: what kind of training could produce such a huge sound wave that reached her ears so clearly?

Suddenly, an incredibly terrifying sense of oppression came from behind.

It was as if a strong, cold-blooded beast was lurking in the shadows, watching her intently.

Lacey's neck stiffened instantly, and a few beads of sweat appeared on the back of her neck.

It was as if a huge shadow had blocked out the sunlight above her head, completely enveloping her.

Soon, the shadow gradually disappeared from behind.

A figure passed by Lacey.

He was like a giant, with the height of two people combined and an incredibly robust body.

Even through his butler's uniform, you could see his terrifyingly bulging muscles.

Like a giant bear, standing upright beside Lacey.

He was holding a tray in his enormous hand.

The tray that a normal person would need one hand to hold seemed much smaller than his enormous hand.

On the tray sat a very elegant ceramic teapot, emitting the delicate fragrance of tea.

The enormous bear-man gently pinched the teacup between two fingers, seemingly afraid to exert any force, and gently placed it on the table in front of Lacey and Lia.

Then, he held the same small teapot in his hand and poured tea into both of their empty cups.

The water level for the tea was just right; it wasn't spilled or poured too full.

Lacey was completely stunned.

Its enormous body, paired with exquisite tea sets, looked quite incongruous.

Yet his skillful and elegant movements seemed to be the result of countless hours of practice.

Lacey couldn't understand.

After doing all this, the bear-man slowly bowed to the two of them.

A strong sense of oppression slowly emanated from his body, as if completely enveloping Lacey.

"Please use it."

Lacey was so frightened by the powerful aura that her hands trembled uncontrollably. She lowered her head, and her previous arrogant demeanor seemed to have completely vanished.

"Many, many, many more... Thank you for your hospitality."

Leah picked up her teacup and smiled and nodded at Helnason.

"Thank you, Helnason. You can go and rest now."

"Miss Liya, please feel free to ask if you need anything."

He bowed respectfully to Lia, and as he stood up, he glanced at Lacey.

With just one glance, Lacey seemed to lose her soul and sat stiffly on the sofa.

Even after Helnarson dragged his muscular body away, Lacey was still in a daze.

It was as if the overwhelming sense of oppression had not yet dissipated from her.

Until Leah's voice rang out:

"Hey? What's wrong? You look like you're not feeling well."

"Uh, oh, ah? I, I, I'm fine, I'm fine."

Hearing Lia's voice, Lacey finally snapped out of her daze and smiled slightly with a somewhat stiff smile.

Seemingly trying to ease the awkwardness, she picked up her teacup and took a sip of tea.

But the next second, he quickly shut his mouth.

It's so hot!

Even though her face turned bright red, she didn't open her mouth to spit it out.

As an elf, she could tolerate this temperature!

Lacey forced herself to swallow it, enduring the burning sensation.

Even though the scalding heat made her squeeze out a few tears, she still insisted on putting down the teacup.

"Hmm...this tea...is good!"
