Moreover, it is even more ferocious and brutal than that.
But the bear-man in front of him truly overturned his understanding.
But soon, Viktor's voice rang out above him.
"Just so you know, I'm not here to have a casual chat."
Jess shivered again.
He then realized that he was now sandwiched between the two men.
Even if they wanted to call for help, there was absolutely no chance that the message would get out.
Escape?
He couldn't possibly run away from such a bear-like creature.
He needs to save himself, he needs to save himself!
Jess Reiser's mind raced. He looked up at Victor and quickly said:
“Congressman Clavner… there may be some misunderstanding between us.”
"Misunderstand?"
Victor looked at Jess, then leaned back against the ground behind him.
In the instant he tilted, ink seemed to spring forth from the ground, quickly forming a black chair that supported Victor's body.
He rested one elbow on the armrest, propped his chin on his hand, and looked at Jess with great interest.
"Go on."
After a rapid thought, Jess suddenly came up with a way to save himself:
"As you can see, Mr. Congressman... Cindy was sent out by our family on a mission to capture demi-humans and elves."
“We did break the law, and I am willing to go to jail for it.”
Jess's meaning is quite clear.
Cindy has nothing to do with him personally; she was sent by the main branch of the Raiser family.
He knows nothing.
However, as the heir of the Raiser family, he could not completely shirk his responsibilities.
So Jess chose to go to jail.
Most importantly, it was Cindy who planned to kill someone on Clavner's property.
Cindy had already been crippled by Victor.
As for the crimes committed by the Leather family, they were merely capturing demi-humans and luring elves.
This matter has absolutely nothing to do with the Clevner family.
Jess's reasoning was flawless.
As long as he can go to jail, he will be safe.
Jess has absolutely no fear of going to jail.
With his family's connections, he will be released soon.
Moreover, even in prison, the jailers dared not do anything to him.
After all, he is Jess, the eldest son of the Raiser family.
These jailers would only try to curry favor with him.
Having said all that, Jess was very confident.
Because if this continues, Viktor will already be committing a crime.
Having come up with this perfect reason, Jess's trembling body calmed down.
His eyes gradually regained some clarity.
"Oh? Is that so?"
Suddenly, Viktor's voice rang out.
With a hint of mockery, the corners of his mouth curved upwards in a few arcs.
A contract suddenly appeared out of the air and landed on the floor in front of Jess.
Jess looked down at the contents of the contract, completely bewildered.
All that could be heard was Viktor's indifferent voice.
"The Pokémon you caught is one of my employees."
"Now I should have a reason, right?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Jeston stood still.
I only felt my body become incredibly stiff.
It was as if a giant, pitch-black hand was firmly binding his body.
In Jess's gaze, a terrifyingly violent flame suddenly erupted behind Victor.
The flames spread rapidly, completely engulfing the only intact and magnificent mansion.
Thick smoke billowed and flames raged.
The fire engulfed the last surviving wall, turning it into fuel for the flames.
Even amidst the raging flames, Viktor's expression remained calm and composed.
"Since you say that Cindy was sent by your own family."
"Then, let someone from your own family come here in person."
In an instant, a black wind suddenly appeared, swirling up rubble and dust.
It was as if the night had turned into a raging wind, sweeping across the scorching sun.
The wind made it difficult for Jess to open his eyes.
All he could see was that everything in front of him was becoming incredibly blurry.
Jess coughed as he closed his eyes tightly and covered his face with his arms.
Then, the black wind gradually subsided.
Jess and Viktor were originally engulfed in flames.
They disappeared at the same time.
Only Helnason, the enormous bear-man, remained, standing amidst the raging flames.
He picked up the giant cannon that Jess had embedded in the floor and walked into the burning mansion.
