Chapter 16 Being Both a Father and a Mother

Gwen and Victor stood at the doorway, looking inside.

"Why did you agree? We should ask again, or wait a little longer..."

Victor glanced at her and then said:

"Remember why you came here."

"You didn't come here for a vacation and to sleep."

Upon hearing Viktor's words, Gwen shook her head, finally calming down.

But it's quite obvious that a man and a woman alone in a room at night is rather...

And there's only one bed, and it's very big.

Gwen frowned and hesitated for a moment before taking the initiative to suggest:

"I'll sleep on the floor."

Viktor nodded and agreed.

"Can."

Gwen paused for a moment.

Although she was a knight, it didn't matter where she slept while wearing armor.

But Viktor's reaction...

This made her feel somewhat uncomfortable.

Gwen didn't understand why either; in her mind, there was no such thing as being modest or not.

Viktor is a mage, and he is more vulnerable than I am, so I should let him sleep in the bed.

However, after a long day's journey, Gwen felt sticky inside her armor.

To be honest...

Gwen wants to take a bath.

She had been on long missions before, but she was always able to persevere.

Perhaps because there was a man in the house this time, she actually started to care about whether she had a smell or something.

She patted her cheeks, trying to shake off the random thoughts in her mind.

Gwen wouldn't force anyone to do something against their will.

Given the size of the hotel and the time of day, it was clearly impossible for them to provide her with a hot shower.

But with so much sweat on my body, what if I start to smell bad?

She was somewhat conflicted, and even forgot that she was still wearing a suit of armor, and that even the slightest movement could make a sound.

While using magic to survey his surroundings, Victor didn't forget to set up a soundproofing array at the doorway.

After seeing that everything was normal, Victor heard the scraping sound of armor clashing, frowned, and turned around to see Gwen looking extremely conflicted.

She bit her finger, her face full of sorrow.

Why haven't you taken off your armor yet?

Gwen became a little shy upon hearing his words, lowered her head, and her cheeks flushed slightly.

......

"You mean, you want to take a shower? In a place like this?"

Victor sat in the chair, holding his forehead.

There are no partitions here, let alone a ready-made bathroom.

The entire room contained only a large bed, two chairs, and a table.

It's too rudimentary.

Under these circumstances, Gwen actually said she wanted to take a shower...

"A capricious demand."

Gwen felt even more embarrassed after hearing Viktor's words, but she was just saying it casually; she was even planning to sleep in her armor.

It's just that I feel very uncomfortable when I wake up.

She's a knight; even if she smells a little, she can just bear it and get home.

She missed her warm bathroom and comfortable bed at home.

A bright green light suddenly shone in front of him. Gwen looked up and saw Victor's hand hovering in the air, forming a strange magic circle on the floor.

The emerald green halos began to overlap, and the engraved paths gradually merged together.

[Tier 1 Magic: Wood Carving]

The moment the magic circle was formed, vines stretched out from the magic circle on the floor, and wooden strips emerged one by one.

They automatically bound together, forming the shape of a bathtub.

The magic also polished the outside of the bathtub until it was smooth and had a dark sheen.

Gwen blinked as she watched the bathtub she had been longing for suddenly appear on the floor.

Victor had not stopped what he was doing.

Blue and red magic circles swirled and combined between his left and right hands, lighting up alternately, and the air in the room gradually became scorching hot.

Viktor clasped his hands together, and the two magic circles actually overlapped, forming a completely new formation.

Double magic array?

This was the first time Gwen had ever seen such an advanced technique as multicasting, after all, she wasn't a mage.

But what does Viktor want to do?

It is obvious.

The air became somewhat humid, and water was generated out of thin air within the magic circle, coming into contact with the temperature of the red magic circle.

Almost instantly, the water temperature rose sharply.

The scalding hot water poured into the bathtub as if squeezed from an air sponge.

Gwen was completely stunned by what she saw, blinking her eyes in utter shock.

"This...this was done with magic?"

She had met some mages before, but none of them could do it as effortlessly as Victor.

For the first time, she realized that magic was such a convenient power.

"If you trust me, then please go ahead."

As Victor spoke, he snapped his fingers.

A small black array appeared on the ring on their hand, and a black mist curtain surged out from the array, isolating the space where the two were.

You can't see over there from here, and you can't see over here clearly from there either.

Seeing Viktor finish all that, Gwen was suddenly filled with emotion.

When I went on the mission, there was a mage with me...

Perhaps, it really is quite good?

She was certainly not a pretentious person. Victor had already gone to such lengths, and she had always kept her heart set on justice.

So Gwen removed her armor and undergarments and soaked in the bathtub.
