Chapter 165 That's it? How could I possibly lose!

Gwen sat atop the giant bird, her pretty face flushed red.

It turns out, she had misunderstood...

Victor said he would take him somewhere.

At first, Gwen thought...

No, she never thought that way!

As a righteous knight, Gwen would never admit to having any filthy thoughts in her head.

That's absolutely impossible!

After dinner, white whirlwinds gathered at Victor's feet.

Then, he released such a huge and astonishing white bird.

She had seen the large bird before, in the North, in her own home.

At that moment, in front of countless knights, she stood before Victor and took the initiative to support him.

Even if it means being at odds with all the knights of the North.

At this very moment, she was sitting on the back of this giant bird, high in the sky, under the moonlight.

The wind seemed to become unrestrained, howling and dancing.

The wind, though not particularly fierce, was blowing Gwen's white dress wildly.

She held the white top hat tightly on her head, as if afraid it would be blown away and disappear into the vast night.

She also covered the hem of her skirt with one hand to prevent it from being blown up by the strong wind.

She looked somewhat comical, her flushed cheeks becoming even more awkward.

But the surrounding scenery was exceptionally beautiful.

Above the silent sky, silver stars shimmered, hanging like a curtain.

The mysterious night sky seems to be telling a story, making people yearn for it.

The giant bird swept across the clouds like a shooting star streaking across the Milky Way, heading towards the horizon.

She was in the air, looking down at the earth.

Below them lay the vast and prosperous capital city.

Beneath the sky, it is brightly lit.

The mesmerizing scenery was filled with an extremely enchanting light.

It was like a second shimmering star in the world.

Victor had his hands in his pockets, and his black suit had somehow been replaced with a trench coat.

The relentless howling hurricane whipped his black trench coat around, making a whooshing sound.

Soaring in the air, it looked like a slender tail feather.

Suddenly, Victor's voice slowly sounded in Gwen's ear.

"How do you feel?"

"very beautiful."

Gwen covered her face with her hat, her eyes reflecting the hazy starlight.

The long-lost feeling seemed to have gradually calmed down after the initial agitation and panic.

She didn't know why either.

Perhaps it was the surrounding scenery that made her calm down and appreciate it.

Or perhaps, it's someone who can put her at ease.

He was right beside her at that moment.

Gwen looked up at Victor again, staring at his back.

A hint of gentleness also appeared in his eyes.

She opened her mouth and asked the question she had wanted to find the answer to from the very beginning.

Why...are you so good to me?

Whether in the hotel by the volcano or when she first returned to the palace, she faced skepticism from everyone.

Even in the North, at her home.

Victor always took meticulous care of her.

I stood in front of her immediately to protect her.

Even when the justice she followed was about to collapse, it was Victor's appearance that strengthened her conviction.

He is like a star.

When Gwent was on the verge of falling into darkness, it brought her a ray of salvation.

"First of all, you said something useless."

At that moment, Victor turned around and looked calmly at Gwen.

Why can't I be good to you?

Gwen suddenly paused, looking at Viktor with a hint of confusion and bewilderment.

Viktor sighed and finally shook his head helplessly.

"remember."

"I have always been your fiancé."

The words fell slowly, as if he were talking about something trivial.

But his calm and gentle tone continued to echo in Gwen's ears.

This made her sit up straight involuntarily.

Her eyes were wide open like two copper bells, her cheeks were burning hot, and she stared at Viktor intently.

My heart was pounding wildly.

It was such a cool night.

She felt her body getting increasingly hot...

Her body trembled slightly, and she couldn't even explain what kind of emotion it was.

Suddenly, Victor waved his hand toward the sky.

Before him, a clock made of flames appeared before the two of them.

The two hands, one long and one short, are moving slowly.

The clock was surrounded by several golden magical rings, and in the center, it looked like a golden scale was constantly swaying.

Whenever the pointer passes a Roman numeral, that numeral becomes blurred, eventually turning into a red beam of light that disappears into the clouds.

The pointer slowly moved towards the top, constantly jumping.

"That's about it."

A calm voice rang out, and the giant bird beneath Victor suddenly screamed.

The piercing sound, cutting through the sky, instantly traveled through the air and slowly spread throughout the entire capital city.

The sound wasn't loud, but it brought a little noise to the otherwise quiet city.

The residents who hadn't yet rested all poked their heads out, curiously searching for the source of the sound from inside the house.

At that moment, a faint blue light emanated from Vega's eyes, connecting with Viktor's.

It was almost the instant the magic surged.

Countless formations lit up beneath Viktor's feet.

Buzz—Buzz—Buzz—

The countless complex magic arrays began to flash and overlap incessantly, even the clouds were used as a canvas and gradually began to be colored.
