As a neutral force without any national status, joining the City of Mages is not particularly difficult.
A mage with at least Tier 3 strength, and possessing a good sense of justice and morality.
Under these conditions, it doesn't matter what country or race exists.
They could all become members of the City of Mages.
but--
Not every member who joins the City of Mages has the opportunity to become a councilor.
Member of Parliament.
It symbolizes the highest combat power and the highest moral standing of the entire Mage Council.
To possess this identity, one must have an extraordinary integrity and be exceptionally powerful.
Aside from someone like Victor, who, upon reaching the fourth tier, captivated the Mage Council with his unique personal charm and gained the status of a councilor.
Similarly, Kokot voluntarily relinquished his status as a member of parliament.
She certainly didn't leave because of the council of mages' advice to quit.
She simply couldn't be bothered to argue; whether or not she held a parliamentary seat was completely irrelevant to her.
So he simply gave up his original seat as a member of parliament.
She was one of the few members of parliament even before Victor joined.
It's certainly not because of that empty gimmick of being the Elf Queen.
In the city of mages, status is never a factor.
Just because...
Cocote - lv49
The Grace of Nature
She is one of the most senior and powerful councilors in the City of Mages.
A surge of pure magic flowed through the space, and the monster's round eyeballs rolled into Kokot's hand.
In front of everyone, she weighed the eyeball in her hand, feeling somewhat puzzled.
"I really don't know what's so good about this stuff."
"Hey, you're not human, are you?"
As the smoke and dust gradually dissipated, a figure suddenly leaped out from through the flying dust.
No one saw her movements clearly; they only felt a white shadow appear and then disappear in an instant.
But Kokot remained calm and slowly raised his fingers upwards again.
A shimmering green emanated from her fingertips, quickly forming a double-layered array.
Before anyone could detect it, the magic had already been triggered.
It was so convincing that one couldn't even see the traces of the magic array's construction.
Thick vines instantly shot up from the ground, dancing wildly in the air like two giant snakes, colliding with each other.
The white figure was swept up and placed under the sky.
They were like fish on a chopping board, at the mercy of others.
All of this happened so fast that the crowd only saw two green beams waving.
When they came to their senses, they found that the humanoid demon had been bound in the sky.
Aurelion stood beside Kokot, looking up at the white figure struggling and tearing at the green vines, her eyes filled with astonishment.
She had only ever seen such a fast casting speed from her teacher.
And now, Cocote has shown her a skill as well.
In less than a second, the magic was released at lightning speed, and even the fleeting traces of the magic were quickly erased.
The magic was skillfully applied and released with perfect naturalness.
Is this the basic strength of a congressman...?
The cloud beneath Cocotte rose and fell, carrying her as it floated over, looking Saphiros up and down.
"Tsk tsk, you do look quite similar to a human. Could you be a demi-human?"
"But even demi-humans don't have a kind like you."
Saphiros's green, vertical pupils, like those of a viper, narrowed slightly as she stared intently at Kokot.
"[Target being detected, hazard level - High]"
"[Switch to Battle Mode]"
A mechanical voice came from her throat, and Cocotte was slightly taken aback.
Before she could even react, two flashes of light appeared instantly.
The thick, enormous vines were quickly cut off.
After breaking free of her restraints, Saphiros landed on the ground and gradually disappeared from sight.
The body disappeared?
magic?
A whooshing sound suddenly rang out, and a buzzing echo filled Cocotte's ears.
[Banshee Echo]
A white figure appeared not far from Kokot, opened its huge mouth, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth, and a sharp, explosive sound suddenly burst out.
The shrill sound made countless people cover their ears.
Kokot realized her attack and waved a magical spell in his hand to deflect the wind into his ears.
By balancing the pressure inside and outside his ears, he easily withstood the monster's attack.
Saphiros realized her attack was ineffective, so she quickly ducked to her feet and then leaped up.
Immediately afterwards, two streams of air, composed of leaves, burst forth from the ground and continued to swirl towards the sky.
However, she managed to dodge it.
Kokot frowned slightly when he saw his magic being dodged.
The guy in front of me has such keen senses.
Sephiroth, who dodged the attack in mid-air, flipped over and landed steadily on the ground.
She placed her hands in front of her chest, and two eyeballs were surprisingly visible in her palms.
The eyeball rolled back, revealing a mouth full of sharp teeth.
It suddenly opened up, and two streams of flame shot out instantly.
Wall of Flames
The intense flames formed a thick barrier, relentlessly closing in on Coco.
The cloud beneath Koko seemed somewhat intimidated by the intense heat and retreated a step.
But she seemed quite dissatisfied and quickly kicked the tail of the cloud, forcing it to drift forward again.
