Kefla's seemingly delicate body slammed into the ground.
The force was so great that even the ground trembled.
The other witchers couldn't help but look away, shrinking back and not daring to glance at Kefla again.
Tragic. Absolutely, utterly tragic.
"Cough...cough."
As the smoke and dust gradually dissipated, Kefla lay on the ground and coughed softly twice.
Her injuries weren't too serious; at least she could still move.
I just feel a little short of breath.
Kevlar glanced at Viktor with a hint of resentment in her eyes.
"Can't you give way to a woman?"
Victor stared at her, hands in his pockets, expressionless.
"I gave you a chance."
"Unfortunately, you didn't win."
Kefla swayed as she struggled to her feet and sat down cross-legged.
Viktor's fall just now made her feel like her lungs were shifted several inches.
She gently rubbed her chest, trying to ease the discomfort.
Fortunately, Witchers have a strong regenerative ability.
Kevlar supported herself with her hands on the ground, leaning slightly back, showcasing her slender yet powerful figure.
"Whew—ha, that was really fun."
Her voice revealed a hint of wildness and satisfaction, as if the battle just now was a long-lost enjoyment for her.
Although Kefla didn't use her full strength, she knew that her brother-in-law wasn't using his 'full strength' either.
Moreover, their "all-out effort" is not quite the same.
After all, Viktor's primary profession is that of a mage.
At that moment, Viktor suddenly bent down slowly and picked up her dagger.
Viktor held the silver dagger tightly in his hand.
Kefla stared at him blankly, then watched as Victor took the dagger and cut a gash in his palm.
Her gaze was fixed on him, not daring to miss a single detail.
Tick-tock
Bright red blood dripped slowly, flowing onto the ground.
Thanks to its powerful regenerative abilities, the wound has completely healed.
Kefla murmured:
"What amazing resilience."
"Victor, you actually became a mage instead of a warrior, what a waste of your talent..."
She initially wanted to say that Victor was wasting his talent, but then she thought again, this guy is the youngest fourth-tier mage.
He immediately shut his mouth.
That's just how geniuses are.
Although he was a mage.
But because of his power, no one would think he was just a mage.
Moreover, Kefla and the other witchers knew exactly what Victor was doing.
verify.
The Witcher's weapons are made of special materials.
If Victor truly possesses a demon, it can be verified simply by cutting open his flesh.
The demon's blood is absorbed by the dagger, but not by a normal person.
This is why the demon hunters went to great lengths to try and wound Victor.
Viktor picked up the dagger, cut open his own flesh, and showed it to her.
There is no demon within him.
This is a very simple verification method. If Kefla wanted, she could even scratch the Second Prince with a weapon in the North to verify whether he had any demons on him.
But she couldn't.
She cannot use it on the Second Prince.
At the very least, the Second Prince must not be harmed in the North, nor on the Delin family's territory.
So she released Owesser and sent him back to the capital.
"I'm so glad I don't have to be your enemy anymore, Viktor."
As Kefla spoke, she looked at the black crystal pendant on Victor's chest.
She squinted her eyes, revealing a gentle, natural smile.
Regardless of whether Victor was in league with the demons, Kefla was prepared.
If he is truly possessed by a demon, the pendant will cause him to lose the demon's power.
If Kefla wronged Victor, as he has now proven himself right.
So, that pendant was her compensation.
"After all, I've given you my life."
Upon hearing this, Victor glanced at Kevlar.
The Witcher's regenerative abilities are astonishing; in just a short while, she had fully recovered.
I stretched comfortably.
After fighting with Victor, Kefla felt refreshed.
Even the two witchers who had been brutally beaten by Viktor had fully recovered.
They all stood behind Kefla, waiting for orders.
After getting a beating, Kefla was itching for a beating again. She hooked her finger at Viktor's chin and looked at him with a smile.
"Hey, Viktor, don't go back later."
"Would you like to play some fun games with your sister tonight?"
Victor ignored her and simply took out the pendant from his pocket.
"You witchers have an operation tonight, don't you?"
Kevlar was taken aback, and almost blurted out, "How did you know?" but thankfully she quickly shut her mouth.
However, her attitude was tantamount to acquiescence.
Victor simply held the pendant and said calmly.
"This tool used by witchers can detect the presence of demons in the surrounding area."
“I know that you were already suspicious of me when you had Lia give this to me.”
The black crystal pendant shimmered and sparkled in the surrounding candlelight.
Kefla looked at the pendant in Victor's hand without saying a word.
Why would Viktor make such a guess?
Because Victor actually kept a [Primal Demon] at home.
