Chapter 226 Father!

Leon lowered her head.

The crow on her lap was staring at her with a faint smile.

The question we just asked was asked by it.

Leon was silent for a moment, then turned her head away:

"No, I didn't..."

Vega flapped his wings and flew to the top of Leon's head, where he sat down steadily.

Feeling its head sink, the golden retriever lowered its head even further.

"Although I don't mean to discourage you, you are not an elf born from the divine tree."

Leon froze, then looked up abruptly, only to realize that there was a talking crow perched above her.

As a result, Vega regained his footing first and landed back on her head.

"I understand your curiosity and urge to find out the truth, but isn't this a good time?"

The sound of crows gradually echoed in her ears:

"You also have your own family."

"But, Miss Leah, she..."

Leon was about to explain.

How could I, as a subordinate, become a real family member with Miss Lia?

But before she could speak, a magical force sealed her mouth shut.

"What a stubborn little girl."

Vega looked up, using his one eye to observe the elves enjoying themselves, and explained to Leon:

"You don't really think that Victor intended to give you the surname Clevina, do you?"

Leon froze, standing there motionless.

She couldn't speak, but her mind began to race:

Yes, Viktor had absolutely no reason to help himself.

For Viktor, she had only one value.

That would prove that the Tree of Adrien cannot grant other spirits power based on their surname.

"So, it was Miss Leah..."

Miss Lia, do you consider her family?

Leon sat there in a daze, completely unaware that the silencing spell had been lifted silently.

The raven lowered its head, glanced at Leon, and then chuckled:

"That's not what I said, that's how you interpreted it."

"But at least, Viktor is good to his family."

As Vega laughed, he looked up again, gazing at the harmonious scene of the elves not far away.

But in Melina's eyes, a dark glint flashed, unnoticed by any of the elves.

Like a winding trail of smoke, it quietly dissipated.

...

Two days passed, and the elves gradually adapted to life without the Tree of Adrien.

"No, why is it me again?!"

Inside the sacred tree, Kokot suddenly stood up.

He slammed his hand on the table, and it seemed as if the whole room was trembling.

The elves in front of Kokot sat there, looking at each other in bewilderment.

Vinya sat in the center, holding a scepter in her hand.

With a calm expression and indifferent gaze, he looked at Cocotte:

"This is the result of a vote by the other elves. I'm sorry, Kokot Yad."

"As long as you are a member of the Elf race, you must abide by this rule."

The other elves nodded, completely agreeing with Vinya's words.

The elves established new rules.

Because of the death of the Tree of Adriana, the system of determining elven positions by surname has been completely abolished.

Each elf can create their own elf offspring through the Divine Tree.

Therefore, surnames will eventually become a simple symbol of existence for every elf family.

The practice of assigning positions based on elven surnames was immediately rejected.

Therefore, voting has become the best option at present.

Although in Vinya's eyes, those elves were still fools.

But at least after learning the true nature of the sacred tree, they no longer blindly worshipped the newly born sacred tree.

The emergence of the new sacred tree solved one of the Elven race's biggest problems—population issues—with ease.

They no longer need to offer their natural energy to the sacred tree every day as they used to.

If they wish, the elves can store this natural energy.

They can do anything with natural energy.

Strengthen yourself, or...

New spirits are created through the divine tree.

The surnames of the newly born elves will be determined by the producer, that is, the source of natural energy.

There is no longer any distinction of rank among the Elven surnames.

But why do the elves still need to elect an elf queen?

Because they still need it.

The elves need an elven queen to lead them and rebuild a completely new social system after the death of the Tree of Adri.

At the very least, we cannot allow the elves to live blindly.

Otherwise, the Elven race would not be able to progress.

"Even if your surname no longer holds any significance as an Elf Queen, you are still the most qualified elf to become the Elf Queen."

Vinya looked at Cocotte and said calmly.

Kokot panicked.

If she becomes the Elf Queen, doesn't that mean her working hours will be extended again?!

"Where's Viktor! Viktor! Viktor is my boss! He could never agree to this!"

Vinya looked at the anxious Cocotte, her gaze calm, and said softly:

"As for your status as queen, that's also..."

At this point, she became a little shy, turned her head away, and said somewhat awkwardly:

"That's what Father meant too."

Cocot blinked in confusion, seemingly not understanding what Vinya was saying.

What the heck, Father?
