White flowers and lush green grass were ignited by a black flame formed by a magical force.
The surrounding space was torn open by the flames.
The pitch-black void swirled within the cracks, threatening to completely engulf everything in this space.
Just one glance at it is enough to send chills down your spine.
Lia stood on a huge rift, half of the space had been completely shattered.
The figures of those noble guests had already been burned to ashes by the black flames, like pieces of paper.
Even Victor and Gwen were no exception.
Viktor and Gwen both had expressions of disbelief on their faces.
Amidst the sea of fire, an unusual light flickered in Victor's eyes.
Shock, panic, confusion...
Complex emotions gathered in his obsidian-like eyes.
"Liya..."
"Why?"
Gwen stared at Leah, her face filled with terror.
Aren't we best friends?
Lia lowered her eyes, watching the two of them stand together in the sea of fire, her gaze devoid of any emotion.
"Is that so?"
She placed one hand on her hip while slowly raising her other arm:
“I don’t remember when Gwen became a little girl who needed someone to protect her.”
Lia had long harbored doubts.
She began to have doubts when Gwen and Uncle Angus first came to the house.
How could Gwen possibly have such a good relationship with Uncle Angus?
Gwen and the others in the Derlin family didn't get along at all, except for her sister.
But that's not what made her suspicious.
Then, Lia turned to look at Victor and said:
"And you, something's even more off."
“Viktor will not apologize to me, at least, the former Viktor would not.”
She looked up slightly, observing the surprised expression on "Victor's" face.
"Similarly, his expressions weren't that varied."
"No matter how much you imitate him, you will never become him."
After he finished speaking, "Victor" remained silent for a long while.
After a long silence, he looked at Liya and said:
“You surprised me, Leah Clavner.”
"Even though you are in the world I created for you, you can still maintain your own consciousness."
"Victor" stretched out his hand, pointing his finger at Leah's glove.
Is it because of this?
The world in the mirror is an independent world, and everything in it must be an illusion.
Any magical items will be hidden here, and consequently, they cannot be used at all.
The only odd thing was Leah's strange gloves.
The moment the magic erupted, she completely destroyed the entire mirror world.
You mean this? Maybe.
“But what really made me uncomfortable was not just Viktor’s attitude toward me.”
Lia raised her left hand and clenched it tightly.
After the world in the mirror shattered, Lia finally felt the discomfort coming from her left arm.
However, in this world, in Lia's memories,
Whether eating or picking up things, Leah prefers to use her left hand.
But she is clearly right-handed.
Not only her, but also Viktor and everyone else were more accustomed to using their left hand.
"Most people in the world use their left hand as their dominant hand. I noticed this incongruity and felt that something was wrong."
"Victor" remained silent, unable to utter a single word.
Lia continued, "..."
Therefore, there is only one possibility.
"The left hand we use is actually our normal dominant hand."
"However, I am in the mirror, which causes everyone's behavior to be reversed."
Because when people are outside the mirror, their actions are reversed when they look in the mirror.
Raise your right hand outside the mirror, and your left hand will be reflected in the mirror.
Perhaps this also explains why "Victor" and "Gwen" have such different personalities.
Because everything you see in a mirror is the opposite.
"You think that by showing me the opposite memories, you can immerse me in them."
Lia raised her head, her sharp gaze like a sword, coldly piercing 'Victor'.
"Unfortunately, I'm not buying it."
'Victor,' who was being stared at by Lia, did not make any move, but a sharp laugh came from his body.
The next second, his body shattered violently, like a mirror.
Countless tiny cracks burst forth from his body and began to spread within that half of the space.
Even Gwen's body twisted and was sucked into the void.
Until the very last trace of color was completely swallowed up by the blackness.
"Victor" stood alone in place, only his distant laughter echoing incessantly.
Snap!
The mirror-like illusion shattered completely.
The whole world seemed to fall into an endless silence.
Lia was in the void when a mirror slowly appeared in front of her.
The mirror was enormous, its surface shimmering with a silvery light.
At the top are two purple eyes, like the eyes of a sleeping demon.
The mirror slowly lifted its eyelids, and the solidified boulder slowly crumbled.
Those demonic eyes suddenly shot out two beams of purple light, and a sinister aura burst forth from them at the same time.
Like two cold, silvery snakes, they climbed up to Lia's neck.
"As expected of a descendant of the Clavner family, I knew I hadn't arrested the wrong person."
