The mirror's eyes stared in shock at Victor, who had suddenly appeared in this void.
His black trench coat swayed in the air, and a chill instantly shot out from his eyes.
A black pillar of fire rose from the earth, its scorching light reflecting off his face.
"How...how is this possible?"
"Everyone else has forgotten her, so why... why do you still remember?"
The mirror's voice trembled slightly, and the purple light in its eyes flickered intermittently.
It cannot understand.
But then, it no longer needed to understand.
In Viktor's eyes, an extremely intense flame ignited.
The next second, a pillar of fire ignited, unleashing a terrifying aura.
A storm and pillars of fire, seemingly summoned from nowhere, mingled together and swirled wildly around the mirror.
Like a sharp spear, it pierced through the mirror's surface in an instant!
Click—
The mirror was severely damaged and began to shatter into pieces.
The surrounding void, like a shattered mirror, began to peel away gradually.
The world began to distort, endless nothingness swirled, and space itself shattered.
Bang!
A crisp cracking sound rang in Lia's ears, and a dazzling white light flashed before her eyes.
My consciousness suddenly sank.
As if her body were falling from the sky, her consciousness returned to itself.
At that moment, Lia opened her eyes.
A natural freshness entered Lia's nasal cavity.
This is the smell of grass and soil mixed together.
The grass swayed gently in the breeze, creating a rustling sound.
The dense branches began to sway at the same time, and sunlight shone through the shade onto half of Lia's face.
The quiet Clevina mansion stood right in front of her.
Lia looked at the grass beneath her and gradually came to her senses.
She slowly stood up, patted the dirt off her clothes, and looked at the familiar mansion.
"I'm home now?"
Viktor's footsteps rang in her ears, accompanied by the crisp sound of wild grass snapping in half.
He stood with his hands in his pockets, calmly looking ahead.
"Yes, we're back."
Lia blinked, sensing the familiarity of her surroundings.
She clenched her fists, clearly feeling the sense of familiarity.
She really came back.
But Leah still couldn't understand. She looked up at Victor and asked:
"But... what about the mirror?"
"I've already destroyed it."
Victor's voice was calm, leaving Leah completely unmoved.
"Don't worry, you won't encounter this kind of thing again in the future."
Lia turned around and looked at Victor with a puzzled expression.
"Can I really trust you?"
Suddenly, Viktor stretched out a hand.
He gently placed it on Liya's head and stroked it back and forth.
“From now on, I will live with you in Bryston.”
"I will resign from my professorship."
Lia looked at Victor, her eyes filled with emotion.
“Victor, you…”
Viktor lowered his head and looked at her.
Lia stared blankly into his eyes and asked, "..."
"Could you... hug me?"
Viktor nodded calmly.
"If it's your request, then yes."
Then he opened his arms.
Leah's cheeks were slightly flushed, but she still nestled into Victor's arms, burying her head in his chest.
Her hands were wrapped around Victor's back.
Then……
Pfft...
Viktor coughed up a mouthful of blood.
His eyes were filled with shock as he looked down at Lia.
But I couldn't see her expression.
Lia buried her face in his chest, and in her right hand, a dagger had appeared out of nowhere.
The cold glint of the dagger pierced Viktor's back.
Then, Lia drew her dagger, its cold gleam stained with blood.
Pfft!
Another vicious slash!
An astonishing amount of blood gushed from Viktor's chest, flowing out of his body under the force of gravity.
Hot blood fell to the ground, soaking the entire grassland.
Viktor was incredulous. He looked at Leah, his mouth agape, but he couldn't utter a single word.
Only the lip movements were changing, but Leah could see it clearly:
'Why. '
Thump!
Lia watched indifferently as Victor collapsed to the ground.
Her cheeks were splattered with blood, and her arms and clothes were also stained red with blood.
But she remained unmoved, bent down, and placed the dagger on the ground in front of Viktor.
Looking at the lifeless "Victor," Lia's voice rang out softly:
"You shouldn't have done this, you absolutely shouldn't have done this."
“It’s because 'Victor' is so good to me.”
The surrounding scenery shattered once again, gradually peeling away.
This time, the surrounding scenery changed once again.
Lia stood outside the study door.
In her hand was the contract she was to give to Viktor.
This was the professorship contract for Victor at the Royal Academy of Magic that she and Gwen had worked together to secure, using many connections.
This was all to ensure that the academy would protect Victor and minimize the public attention surrounding his harassment of the duke's daughter.
Lia took a deep breath and pushed open the study door.
Viktor was sitting quietly at his desk, holding a book in both hands, reading.
Without even looking up, he sensed the person approaching and asked:
