The other students stared in disbelief, their eyes practically popping out of their sockets.
Even the professor, who was staring intently at the hourglass, was so surprised that his glasses almost slipped off.
He stepped down from the podium, approached Aurelion, picked up Aurelion's exam paper from the table, and began to flip through it frequently.
After carefully reading the answers, he became completely absorbed in them, revealing an expression of amazement:
"This! Hiss..."
"Your Highness, how did you manage to answer this last question... Oh, I'm sorry, I failed in my duty."
Before the professor could even voice his question, he immediately realized he was in an exam room, so he quickly suppressed his scholarly urge to learn.
The other students were even more shocked, looking at the professor's expression.
Could it be... that the princess answered all the questions correctly?
In just these few short minutes?
The exams have only just begun!
Aurelion responded with a gentle smile:
"It's alright, Professor Gaia."
"May I leave now? I'd like to see my teacher first."
Professor Gaia finally realized what was happening, and he nodded repeatedly:
"Oh, no problem, Your Highness, you may leave now."
Having received permission, Aurelion calmly stood up, bowed politely to the professor, and then turned and gracefully left.
It wasn't until Aurelion disappeared behind the door that the other students snapped out of their shock.
Holy crap, I remember now!
Her Highness's teacher is—
Professor Victor!
...
In the cold blue light, the teleportation array lit up, and Aurelion stepped out of the ancient mage tower.
The core of the freshman assessment is to test students' understanding of magic.
The assessment is not difficult, because if a mere freshman exam is so demanding, then the number of people who can truly become mages will be even smaller.
For Aurelion, such an exam was merely a routine procedure.
Perhaps she just wanted to prove something.
Moreover, she didn't come here specifically for this assessment.
Walking along the academy's paths, Aurelion admired the surrounding scenery. Most of the new students were in the mage tower, while the seniors had not yet returned, making the academy peaceful and serene at the moment.
She strolled in the wind, curiously observing the rebuilt buildings.
Her last visit was to attend Professor Viktor's lecture; this time, she decided to explore more thoroughly.
With that thought in mind, Aurelion quickened her pace considerably.
Soon, she found herself standing at the edge of a huge lake.
Sunlight shines down, making the lake surface sparkle, as if it were adorned with diamonds.
The lake is regularly cleaned by monks, so the water is crystal clear.
To commemorate Victor's outstanding contributions in the war against demons, the Dean specifically instructed that this place be preserved as a reminder to the Academy.
Aurelion stood by the lake, captivated by the shimmering sunlight, her heart at peace.
However, on the other side of the lake, she saw a mysterious figure.
The person was wrapped in a large robe, and their figure was vaguely visible.
There seemed to be something strange about my back; it looked like a large lump had inexplicably appeared.
Who is that person?
Why would there be other people in the academy at this time?
Doubts arose in her mind, and Aurelion stared at the man warily.
The man seemed to sense her gaze, turned his head, and revealed a pair of serpentine eyes like emeralds.
The moment her gaze met her green snake eyes, Aurelion felt her heart race, and for a moment, she stood frozen in place like a stone statue.
There was a subtle, familiar feeling.
But in the blink of an eye, the person on the other side of the lake disappeared from Aurelion's sight.
Coming to her senses, she was somewhat bewildered, blinking her eyes, her mind filled with questions:
Where are they?
"What are you doing?"
At that moment, Viktor's voice rang out from behind Aurelion.
Her eyes lit up, filled with anticipation as she turned to look at Victor:
"teacher!"
In the gentle breeze, Victor's black trench coat fluttered, and the one-eyed raven on his shoulder was slowly preening its feathers, seemingly uninterested in everything around it.
Victor remained calm, looking at Aurelian, and said indifferently:
"Not bad, it seems those test questions weren't too difficult for you."
After all, with Aurelion's magical talent, these little problems were child's play for her.
Aurelion possesses the ability to remember magic spells at a glance, and her talent of being able to learn them directly after only one demonstration in front of her has destined her to be far more powerful than her peers.
This year's new champion will undoubtedly be Aurelion.
Hearing Victor's praise, Aurelion couldn't help but smile sweetly.
She asked curiously:
"Teacher, where are you going?"
Victor glanced at her, making no attempt to hide anything:
"Back to the office."
This year's freshman assessment is a bit different from previous years. The dean plans to conduct a public practical assessment to further classify students into different levels.
Therefore, Victor needs to prepare in advance.
Upon hearing this, Aurelion's eyes lit up with interest, and she asked hopefully:
"Teacher, may I go with you?"
Viktor nodded, agreeing to Aurelion's request:
"Come on if you want to."
Aurelion obediently followed behind Victor.
After passing through the courtyard full of spring, we arrived at the foot of Viktor's private mage tower.
