Chapter 253 The Training Course of a Noble Earl

Thick black fog rose from the earth and rolled in front of everyone, carried by the strong winds.

Levi stretched out a hand to shield his mouth and nose, braving the fierce wind, and stared into the black mist, constantly trying to observe what was inside.

Vladimir stood still, silently watching the black mist pass by his feet, and solemnly gazing at the place where the black mist rose.

The black mist swirled and even swept past the towering treetops, engulfing Saphiros, who was not far away.

She raised her head, stretched out an arm to cover her face, closed one eye, and desperately tried to stay awake, watching the eerie black mist gradually engulf her.

A huge, narrow black shadow gradually stretched out, completely obscuring the moonlit sky.

The stars overhead were completely swallowed up, and the sky fell into a deep, deathly silence.

Revi narrowed his eyes, and the air around him compressed rapidly, causing tiny water droplets to slowly gather and float on either side of his body, trembling slightly.

Finally, the enormous black shadow in the sky materialized.

A black shadow, so large it blotted out the sky, seemed capable of catching the crescent moon in its mouth and shattering it to pieces.

The enormous, sharp, jet-black claws tore the space into slight cracks, and the abundant feathers around its body continuously squeezed out black mist, completely covering the world.

The damp, cold smell quickly filled Levi's nostrils and mouth, like a lingering obsession from an ancient tomb, making him feel suffocated.

A giant, jet-black eagle soared across the boundless sky, as if the entire sky would be completely shrouded in darkness in the next second.

The black mist behind them had spread far into the distance.

Even the sky above the capital was slowly polluted by the fog, plunging into absolute darkness.

Levi sensed the immense danger approaching him and tried to fight back.

But when I looked up, the water molecules that had gathered around me suddenly stopped in mid-air.

As if time had stood still, all the water droplets were frozen in the air, and even their forms stopped trembling.

"What's this?"

Levi looked at the water droplets around him and exclaimed in surprise.

Countless mages around them collapsed, their bodies weakened, their eyes tightly shut. Their bodies were entangled in wisps of black mist, and they lost consciousness and fainted.

Revi subconsciously looked around, only to see that he and Vladimir were still conscious.

So much so that no one could answer their questions.

The massive, black eagle's body obscured the sky above them.

A giant, single eye slowly opened in the sky, as if tearing through the boundless darkness.

A vortex slowly emerged from the absolute blackness.

The enormous pupil usurped the moon's place, and the dim, yellowish giant eye kept turning around.

The bright yellow pupils began to compress in space, becoming extremely distorted and eerie.

The vertical pupil was divided into countless tiny pupils, but without exception, they were all staring intently at the two people below.

When Vladimir was stared at so intently, he could even feel the hairs on his body unconsciously twitching in response.

It was as if they had broken free from the control of their own bodies and began to have the urge to escape.

In an instant, the world around them became unstable, like a mirage. The swaying world began to recombine, and blurry patches of color were constantly thrown in front of everyone's eyes.

The distorted colors resembled twisted, deformed objects, chaotic and blasphemous.

Rivlin and Vladimir also noticed the unusual surroundings.

"An illusion..."

Levi narrowed his eyes, but there was only a slight tremor around him, and he did not sense anything terrifying approaching.

Vladimir also noticed this, and instead quietly put away his fighting stance, standing quietly in this space.

This created illusion seemed to have no intention of targeting them at all.

Soon, the illusion gradually faded away, disappearing like colors dissolved by water.

The world has returned to its original state.

By the time they realized what was happening, the heavily injured Saphiros seemed to have been taken away and disappeared.

Vladimir spat and began to curse:

"What the hell was that thing?"

The blue ripples still flickered in Reeves' eyes.

Looking at the fallen mages all around him, he slowly said:

"I can't understand it."

He raised his head and looked around.

All around were thick walls that had suddenly risen up.

It was as if an astonishing earthen wall had surrounded them all.

Levi reached out and touched it, but felt that the earthen walls around him were somewhat damp, and the patterns on them were all straight vertical lines.

As if realizing something, he looked up.

A moon pierced through the towering tree canopy and fell into my eyes.

Only then did Reeves realize what had happened.

They weren't blocked by a high wall at all; rather, the ground they were on had sunk into a huge crater!

The ground of the forest completely collapsed, but the surrounding bushes showed no signs of breaking.

The crater was extremely large, so large that it was awe-inspiring.

Like the deep, far-reaching traces left on the earth after a cataclysmic spell is cast.

From the sky, this deep pit appears abruptly on the earth, extremely incongruous.

However, they did not feel that they had been traumatized.
