Chapter 268 How come you've hidden a universe in your fingertips?

Broken raindrops poured down from the gray sky, sparkling and shimmering.

The raindrops shimmered as if about to stop, and when they hit the surging sea, they stirred up white waves.

The sea seemed to be surging with its surging vitality, with waves rising from the white mist like jagged rock cliffs, each crashing with endless ferocity.

The vast ocean descended into chaos, and so did Braxton, the empire's largest coastal city.

The port of Braxton relies on maritime import and export trade for its livelihood.

The port here is close to the vast ocean, and fishing boats of all sizes are moored along the port shore.

It was broad daylight, and countless fishermen gathered on the dock, hesitantly looking at the densely packed fishing boats moored there, but not one dared to go out to sea now.

Because the sky over Braxton was already completely obscured by thick clouds.

Although it is noon, the port seems to be gradually falling into darkness.

The dark clouds overlapped one another, as if completely sealing away the scorching sun.

The torrential rain poured down from the sky, whipped by strong winds, disappearing into the air.

The chaotic raindrops seemed to converge and slammed heavily onto the port buildings, making loud banging noises.

The torrential rain came from all directions, pounding on the fishing boats, the echoes of which reverberated throughout the harbor.

Looking at the fishing boats rocking back and forth with the rising and falling sea, the fishermen wore expressions of helplessness:

"Looks like we won't be able to go out to sea again today."

"Oh dear, another day off."

"Let's go out for a drink later. There's a new tavern that just opened not far from the port. I heard the liquor there is really strong."

The fishermen joked with each other, but there was a bitter taste in their mouths.

Clang—Clang—

The heavy thud of cargo being dragged echoed from another part of the dock, as sailors shouted orders amidst the chaotic rain:

"Quickly unload the cargo from the ship and place it in a safe location."

"Be careful not to get wet in the rain!"

Sailors surged forward in waves, breaking the cargo down into smaller pieces and carrying it toward the warehouse.

Many sailors were carrying things when they suddenly stopped.

Some people turned to look at the churning sea.

The waves seemed to have become even more turbulent.

Their eyes widened in astonishment as they saw the waves, which resembled the spine of a giant beast.

"Hey, something's not right."

"What's wrong?"

The sailors looked out at the sea.

The towering waves seemed to touch the sky, creating a truly awe-inspiring sight.

Having been at sea for so many years, they had never seen waves like these before.

Several captains with decades of experience at sea looked at the waves before them, their faces extremely grave.

"Those guys who set sail early today, I'm afraid..."

At this point, many people fell silent, their faces instantly turning pale with regret.

They also realized that the men who went out to sea in the morning, or those who had not yet returned last night, were probably in grave danger.

No matter what kind of ship is at sea, it will probably be capsized in an instant.

Even worse, some were swallowed up by the giant waves, smashed into pieces, and sank to the bottom of the sea.

At that moment, a slight tremor came from the ground.

The fishermen and sailors stood frozen in the harbor, while the experienced captain suddenly widened his eyes.

Startled, he dropped his pipe and shouted:

"No, it's a tsunami!!!"

Tsunami!?

As is well known, tsunamis are massive disasters caused by a combination of factors, including undersea earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

However, a tsunami has never occurred in Braxton.

As the second most prosperous city, Braxton has a Wizard Weather Bureau.

Meteorological bureau mages frequently inspect the surrounding seabed and use magic to maintain the safety of the seabed geology.

This time, however, a real tsunami occurred without any warning.

"Run! Run!!!"

Countless sailors abandoned their cargo and ran away from the sea.

The port residents screamed in panic as they watched the towering waves sweep in.

Countless people jostled and pushed each other, scrambling to escape the port.

Some people were knocked down, some were stepped on and passed over.

Under the torrential rain, hurried footsteps pounded through puddles, splashing mud and making a series of clattering sounds.

Beneath the dark clouds, the towering waves resembled a ferocious beast pouncing forward.

The towering waves instantly breached the port's high walls, carrying dust and rubble as they continued to surge forward.

The fishermen's houses were swept away by the waves and smashed to pieces.

The waves drew ever closer to the interior of Bryston, as if they were about to engulf the entire harbor.

A huge shadow loomed over countless people.

The people continued to flee, even though they had nowhere else to go.

But at that moment, a burly, strong figure walked against the flow of people toward the tsunami.

He seemed incredibly small in the face of the tsunami.

Yet, amidst the fleeing crowd, he seemed incredibly towering.

The bear-man stood at the edge of the harbor, taking one step back and moving his other hand backward, his fists clenched tightly.

His muscles were slightly bulging, and even his blood vessels were prominent all over his body.

Martial Arts Stance

Helnason took a deep breath, his chest bulging like a mountain peak.

At that moment, the surrounding air began to swirl, and he exuded a thick white mist, with the gas constantly swirling around him.
