"Victor!!! Do you really want to get yelled at?!"
A furious roar echoed through the courtyard of the mansion.
The maid outside the door shrank back in fright when she heard this.
They whispered to each other, "Mr. Victor and Miss are arguing again."
"It's been so long since we've had an argument..."
The two women shook their heads; they were already used to it.
Whenever Victor is home, Miss Lia is bound to have an argument with him.
Lia angrily pointed at Victor's nose and yelled, "I've been waiting for you for so long, and the first thing you ask me when you get home is if I've been hiding someone in the house?"
"How narrow-minded must you be to think of something like this!"
Victor stood at the door, his expression still expressionless, and he didn't utter a word in response to Lia's angry outburst.
After venting her frustrations for a while, Lia touched her head and sighed.
She thought it would be fine even without an explanation, but for some inexplicable reason, she still offered one more explanation.
“Those were subordinates of the territory. They just came to report some things. By the time you came back, they had already left.”
Victor nodded.
"I see."
As soon as he entered the room, he smelled a pleasant fragrance emanating from it.
That's clearly not a man's scent.
I wanted to add a couple of sentences after saying "You're hiding someone?" to avoid causing any unnecessary misunderstandings for Leah.
Unfortunately, Lia started scolding him so quickly, almost like an instinctive reaction, that he didn't even have time to react before he was berated.
Then?
Then he let Lia scold him.
If the other party can vent their anger by scolding him, Victor naturally doesn't mind being scolded a few times.
This was their way of communicating, and he was already used to it.
Victor sat back down at his desk without asking Lydia if she had any difficulties lately.
He believed that Leah could handle everything.
If there's a problem she can't solve, Lia will offer to help.
Sure enough, although Victor didn't ask, Lia herself brought up the shop matter somewhat embarrassedly.
"Things at the prop shop aren't going very well."
"The explosive popularity you expected did not occur."
"Huh? What's going on?"
Viktor tapped the table, which was somewhat unexpected.
He was interested to hear Lia's explanation.
Liya reported on the prop shop's financial revenue.
"Aside from selling some on the first day, we didn't attract any customers in the following days."
Victor was somewhat puzzled, as his marketing strategy should theoretically prevent this from happening.
Because there will always be discerning customers who will come to buy it.
Lia also said that the potion was sold on the first day.
The word-of-mouth spread among those who use the drug should create a viral effect.
Is there a problem with the player's potions?
That's almost impossible.
What are the operational issues with the store?
That's impossible. If Lia couldn't even run a shop like this, she wouldn't have been able to develop her territory so well.
Therefore, it could only be an unexpected situation.
"So, what happened?"
Lia began to explain:
"On the first day of opening the shop, the Duke's daughter bought some medicines."
Upon hearing this title, Viktor raised an eyebrow slightly.
"Erica du Chloe?"
Lia glanced at Victor and sneered.
"Oh, still thinking about your little sweetheart?"
"He even remembers names so clearly."
“This joke isn’t funny. Go on.”
Victor stopped Lydia from making sarcastic remarks.
Lia crossed her arms and pouted.
"I thought that soon, given Erica's reputation, the effects of the potion would be revealed, and a large number of mages would naturally come to seek it out."
"But the very next day, Mount Vesuvius had an accident."
At this moment, Lia noticed that Victor's hand, which was tapping the table, stopped.
Some of my suspicions have been answered.
However, she still patiently spoke to Victor.
"A large number of mages went to the volcano, and only a few ordinary first-tier mages were able to stay in the capital."
"Let's not even talk about whether these people can afford it or not. Even if they could, these things would be such a waste for them."
Simply put, a first-tier mage is not qualified to use this thing.
"A few days later, the mages returned, and they joined forces again to impeach the Duke."
"Even the emperor himself came forward to summon the duke and those noble mages to prepare for a final conclusion."
At this point, Lia sighed helplessly.
The potions are mainly targeted at mages, but the capital has been in chaos lately, and all the mages are busy. They have no time to patronize the shop.
Viktor listened to everything without expression.
He had been fighting Gullardon inside the volcano and was naturally unaware of what had happened recently.
No wonder, after fighting Gulerton, when he appeared at the crater, the first thing he saw was Erica.
He still thought he was hallucinating, since he had no further memories after that.
When he woke up, it was Vega who told him why he had experienced symptoms of a coma.
'We should try to use Vega's abilities as sparingly as possible in the future.'
Viktor thought to himself.
He remained unconscious for four days after the battle.
