What if something happens to Aurelion?! What does that have to do with them?!
Their lives are in grave danger right now, do you think they'd even be thinking about whether they'd lose their heads if something happened to Aurelion?
Suddenly, accompanied by a roar, the train windows and doors exploded with a loud bang.
Black tentacles extending from the outside quickly coiled around the entire carriage like giant snakes and began to contract violently.
The carriage twisted and deformed under the pressure, and the carriage bodies on both sides were stretched open, creating two wide cracks.
The ministers, staring at the terrifying tentacles, were so numb that they forgot to even gasp in alarm.
They could only watch helplessly as the wheels compressed and tightened, causing the twisted carriages to emit sharp, piercing sounds.
However, Gwen remained as calm as ever.
She stood with one foot on the twisted seat, the crimson sword in her hand like a beam of light piercing through the darkness, the flames still illuminating her icy face.
Finally, some ministers, suppressing their fear, looked toward the black body that had revealed its true form.
That instant.
Fear filled their hearts.
Its irregular body writhed continuously, and tentacles spread out from its filthy body.
Within that chaotic, muddy black shell, a yellow eyeball, resembling a lump of flesh, was vaguely discernible.
It opened its eyes and carefully examined the panicked crowd in the carriage.
Until that look of disgust gradually focused on a figure in the carriage.
The ministers followed the gaze of the blasphemous creature and also turned their eyes to Gwen.
"Goddess... Goddess..."
A complex chant, like that of an ancient language, came from all directions, so mixed and difficult to understand that it was unsettling.
However, Gwen showed no mercy, stomping her foot hard, causing the entire carriage to tremble slightly.
As the flaming longsword pierced through the air, she arrived before the monster in an instant, enveloped in crimson flames.
With a single slash, the crimson light seemed to cleave through the scorching space, flames rapidly engulfed the area, and a terrifying explosion suddenly erupted from mid-air, shattering a large chunk of the entire train carriage.
The intense wind generated by the explosion continued to compress, eventually bursting open completely.
The air howled continuously, filling the azure sky overflowing with white clouds, and surged into the cramped and twisted carriage, creating a violent pressure.
The ministers quickly grabbed the nearest handrails, fearing they would be swept away by the violent storm.
The towering black tentacles exploded after being struck by the terrifying flames, turning into countless specks of ink that fell onto the carriage.
Black liquid seeped into the carriage through the narrow cracks.
Soon, the dark liquid dripped from the floor, and the droplets coalesced into numerous filthy monsters.
Long, thin tentacles dragged the repulsive body slowly toward the ministers.
The moment the ministers caught a glimpse of these monsters, they were gripped by a chilling fear, as if they had fallen into an icy abyss.
The tentacles that Gwen had severed transformed into countless filthy monsters.
But the demi-humans were already prepared. Upon seeing these creatures, the fur on their tails and ears stood up simultaneously, as if they had been unleashed as bestial beings, and they fiercely pounced on the group of demons.
These filthy tentacles were surprisingly weak, and in just a few moments, they were swiftly eliminated by the group of demi-humans.
Gwen stood in the carriage like a cedar tree standing tall against the wind, her gaze fixed on the twisted monster.
A fierce, cold wind swept through her long hair. She held a flaming longsword, her heart as cold as ice, her sword as fiery as fire, facing her fear head-on.
The monster, covered in tentacles, was engulfed in flames that seemed impossible to extinguish.
Even its yellow eyes looked as if they were tainted with will-o'-the-wisps.
Its blood-and-flesh-like eyes were fixed on Gwen, and it murmured incomprehensible ancient language:
"goddess?"
Why...?
In that instant, it seemed to be enraged, its tentacles gripping the train tightly.
After arcing through the air, it was hurled fiercely into the deep abyss below.
call--!
The carriage could no longer withstand such immense force, and plunged into the crack through the howling cold wind.
In that instant, everyone in the carriage felt the terrifying sensation of falling.
Even the demi-humans lost their balance and crashed into the carriage.
The terrifying weightlessness rendered the ministers speechless, their minds completely blank.
Only the whistling wind around them constantly filled their ears.
Buzz—
Suddenly, a vast sea of magic completely enveloped the entire carriage.
The twisted magic seemed to lift the carriages, forcefully suspending them in the air.
The knights and ministers also floated in the carriage.
As if they had survived a catastrophe, they stared blankly out of the carriage.
Then, they all saw the black figure outside the carriage.
Outside the carriage, Victor stood with his hands in his pockets, his black trench coat swaying in the breeze.
With legs straight, he floated in mid-air.
Behind the trench coat, five different stripes seemed to light up, forming five giant elemental hands.
Magic emanated from his five hands, which gripped firmly as if they were nothingness, holding the suspended train in place.
He raised his head and looked at the goddess's follower who had revealed her true form and was engulfed in flames, his face cold.
"As expected, you dare not show yourselves in the Empire,"
"How could we possibly let this opportunity slip by?"
