"I mean, you should go back to my room and rest."
Viktor glanced at the slightly ajar door behind him and gestured to Aurelion.
Aurelion's voice was interrupted. She looked up and saw Victor's gaze, which was cold yet contained a hint of gentleness.
"Your teacher Gwen is still inside. Go and rest with her."
Ms. Gwen!
She realized that Victor wanted to get rid of her first; clearly, Teacher Victor wanted to say something to Earl Laureen.
Aurelion obediently nodded and slipped into the room behind her.
As she left, she couldn't help but look back at Viktor with lingering reluctance.
Snap.
The door was closed.
Earl Laurean watched Aurelion leave before saying a word.
"Her Highness the Princess is quite dependent on you, Councilor Clavner."
“But this is not a complex she should have; she should be more independent.”
Victor said calmly, turning his gaze back to Earl Laureen.
"And now, Count."
"I think we should talk."
...
Back in Viktor's room, Aurelione finally felt a little relieved.
Although this room is smaller than the one that Earl Laureen originally prepared for her.
But the air here is warmer than there.
It was so warm that it felt like you were getting a fever.
Aurelion didn't pay much attention, simply because there was a very familiar smell here.
Perhaps it was the scent of both Ms. Victor and Ms. Gwen that made her feel exceptionally at ease.
But for some reason, the thought of spending the night together made her feel uneasy.
The room was quiet, with only the continuous soft breathing sounds.
Gwen must be asleep.
Aurelion couldn't help but marvel at how well the room was soundproofed.
Even though it was so noisy outside just now, Gwen was still sleeping so soundly.
She slowed her pace and walked slowly towards the bedside.
With just one glance, I spotted Ms. Gwen sleeping on her stomach.
Aurelion couldn't help but bend down and examine him closely.
Her long, smooth, snow-silver hair fell loose, slightly obscuring her face.
This sleeping position is clearly very uncomfortable, but Gwen seems to be sleeping soundly.
Hmm? Something's not right.
Aurelion frowned; as a mage, she sensed the fluctuations of magical energy.
It looks like someone has cast a spell in the room.
She looked left and right, and finally, she focused her attention back on Gwen.
Hypnosis!?
Aurelion exclaimed in surprise, then suddenly realized that she had spoken too loudly.
But clearly, she was right.
Because Gwen didn't wake up.
Even with her loud voice, Ms. Gwen was still fast asleep.
This caused Aurelion's mind to race.
Clearly, only one mage here could so easily hypnotize a third-tier knight with magic.
What exactly happened that made Professor Victor use hypnosis?
In the blink of an eye, her gaze couldn't help but fall on the blanket covering Gwen.
She blinked, took a deep breath, reached out, and slowly lifted Ms. Gwen's blanket.
"Teacher, I'm sorry for being rude."
After saying that, the blanket was completely pulled back, revealing the bathrobe that Gwen was wearing.
She breathed a sigh of relief when she didn't see what Aurelion wanted to see.
But soon, she noticed some unusual magical fluctuations.
Aurelion's gaze drifted toward Gwen's back.
There was a mark there that was clearly visible only to a mage.
Aurelion was curious, so she channeled some magic power, reached out, and touched the mark.
The next second.
Swish—
The seal that had been closed was reopened by the fluctuations of magic.
Gwen's fair back was exposed.
At that moment, Aurelion was stunned.
She remained in the gesture of reaching out, her mind blank.
Teacher Victor.
What have you done?!
...
"This is a specialty tea of our kingdom, why don't you try it?"
Count Laureen sat on the sofa, facing Victor, and handed him a teacup.
Viktor nodded, and the teacup floated automatically to his front.
He reached out, took the cup, and took a simple sip.
Immediately afterward, he put down his teacup and said calmly:
“Count, let’s get straight to business.”
“You deliberately let your daughter into my room and came to see me under the pretext of bringing Aurelion.”
Victor gazed intently at Laureen.
Even the crow's eyes seemed to see through everything.
"They must be here for the woman who killed your daughter."
