The door slammed shut automatically, and from inside, there was no longer any trace of life.
Laureen watched Victor enter, then silently watched the door close automatically.
"Earl Laureen, what are you doing here?"
Suddenly, Aurelion's voice rang in his ears.
Laureen turned around and saw Aurelion and August walking over.
Aurelion looked left and right.
But there was no one else standing at the door except Earl Laureen.
Isn't the teacher with Earl Laureen?
So she asked the count:
"Count Laureen, where is Teacher Victor?"
Earl Laurean, his eyes lost in memories, slowly explained to Aurelion:
“During our casual conversation, Mr. Victor suddenly told me that perhaps he had a way to cure my wife’s epilepsy.”
"He wanted to go inside and take a look."
Aurelion paused, turning to look at the wooden sign hanging above the door. The sign bore four large characters:
No Entry
The scarlet warning was startling under the moonlight.
Aurelion asked, somewhat incredulously:
"The teacher... went inside?"
Earl Laureen nodded and continued:
"My wife is indeed mad, but she is not entirely out of control."
“Mr. Victor’s abilities far surpass those of an old warrior like myself. Princess, you need not worry.”
Aurelion nodded.
She wasn't worried about Professor Victor, but the unknown behind that door still filled her with fear.
It seemed a bit eerie.
At this moment, August revealed a gentle smile:
"Since Representative Clavner has something to attend to, why don't we go down together?"
Earl Laureen hesitated for a moment, then his gaze fell once again on the tightly closed door.
Then he nodded:
"Well, that's fine. Waiting here might not yield any results."
"Your Majesty, Princess Aurelian, please."
He gentlemanly extended his arm, guiding the group away together.
As they turned to leave, Vanilla's cat ears suddenly twitched, as if sensing something, and she turned back sharply.
A serene black figure silently passed before her eyes.
Although Vanilla was somewhat uneasy, she didn't dwell on it and quickly followed Aurelion's footsteps, leaving together.
...
In the oppressive atmosphere, Victor ventured deeper into the dark room filled with the stench of blood.
As he went deeper, the nauseating smell grew stronger.
In the end, the pungent smell became even more pungent, rushing into his lungs all at once.
Viktor's brow furrowed, as if the smell was making it hard for him to breathe.
Sensing that they were in the right position, a crimson flame suddenly burst into flames beside Viktor.
The bright firelight gently illuminated the entire room.
That horrifying scene was laid bare before him:
Severed limbs were scattered throughout the room, and the walls were covered with bloodstains and claw marks.
The servant's scarlet clothes were torn to shreds and scattered throughout the room, with dried bloodstains still on them.
It looked as if he had mistakenly entered this room and suffered a terrible fate.
The surrounding furniture was all broken and shattered, with pieces of wood embedded in the floor and walls.
The walls, stained with blood, bore numerous claw marks, perhaps the desperate traces left by the servants in their final struggle.
Apart from that, the entire room was unusually quiet.
It's hard to imagine that such a filthy and bloody room could be hidden in this glamorous mansion.
However, Viktor remained unaffected, watching everything with a blank expression.
Even Vega yawned from boredom before finally speaking:
"Sure enough, I knew something was off."
"If it were just epilepsy, why would he eat people?"
Suddenly, its voice stopped, and it stood stiffly on Victor's shoulder.
But the bird's head twisted backward at an extremely strange 180 degrees.
A deep and eerie black light emanated from its single eye, locking onto the monstrous, twisted like a nightmare before it.
The moment he saw it, a sound that seemed almost joyful emanated from Vega's body:
"You agree, right?"
The monster's eyes gleamed with a crimson light, and its limbs, as if cruelly twisted off, braced themselves against the cold ground in a bizarre and contorted posture.
Its body turned upside down as if its soul had been severed, and it moved across the ground in a zigzag pattern like a withered leaf blown by the wind.
Only through its flowing white hair could one vaguely discern that this monster once possessed a human form.
When it saw Vega's gleaming, malevolent black eye, its body suddenly froze as if time had stood still.
The deformed limbs began to tremble, as if they had witnessed something far more terrifying than themselves and were filled with fear.
Muscle twitching, as if even the instinctive urge to flee had been forgotten.
"Bloodline".
At this moment, Victor slowly turned around, his lowered eyes gazing intently at the terrifying monster.
As if sharing an unspoken understanding, Vega slowly turned his body toward the monster as well.
Viktor's gaze was icy as he said calmly:
"A hybrid of pureblood vampires and other races is called a bloodline."
"Bloodline races need fresh blood to sustain their lives. If they do not receive fresh blood for a long time, they will go mad. At this time, any life that appears in front of them will be torn apart and devoured."
