Dust rose slowly with the breeze, and the black trench coat swayed and swirled in the air.
This is the training ground of the Clavner Manor.
Viktor stood in one spot, gazing at the empty training ground.
"Hey!"
A girlish figure circled around to Victor's back and patted him on the shoulder.
Viktor felt the force on his shoulder, but he didn't react.
As if he had already anticipated who the visitor was, Viktor simply asked a question calmly:
"What's up?"
The girl behind him didn't seem surprised.
Viktor's calmness seemed entirely expected to her.
She never expected to scare Victor.
So she tiptoed, braced herself, and jumped up from behind Viktor.
She hung on Viktor's back, her arms wrapped around his shoulders.
"Victor, what are you doing here?"
Kokot popped a head out from behind him and asked curiously.
Viktor glanced at her and responded indifferently:
"wait."
Uh... it's a bit too blurry.
As Kokot thought this, he looked around.
She didn't see anyone else around there besides herself.
Could it be that the other party is waiting for her?
Oh, but she has another question.
"What's wrong with your Liya? I just saw her go out alone, and her face was really red."
She recalled carefully that she had never seen Leah behave like this before.
Just yesterday, Lia was heartbroken because Victor had dug up her family's grave.
She was too embarrassed to chase after him and ask for details.
But Victor didn't respond; instead, he asked her a question:
"You're quite a rarity too."
"I can't believe I can see you're awake at this hour."
Moreover, Viktor was already amazed when he saw her walking on the ground with both feet on the ground.
Cocotte sighed, landed on Victor's back, shrugged, and said helplessly:
"There's nothing I can do, my cloud is gone, I can't sleep at all."
Even Cocotte isn't someone who can sleep anywhere, just wherever she wants.
Just like back in the Elf Forest.
The surrounding environment made her feel uncomfortable, so she naturally couldn't sleep well.
Since I can't sleep, I might as well not sleep at all.
Having grown accustomed to the softness of clouds, she felt somewhat uncomfortable even lying on the softest bed in the Clavner family home.
Moreover, even without that cloud, there's a group of nature spirits in the mansion's vast backyard.
As soon as she gets even slightly close to the elven tribe, the ceaseless prayers of the elves echo in her head.
They chirped and buzzed.
Perhaps the only downside to becoming a sacred tree is that the voices of the elves are louder now.
Unable to sleep due to the persistent buzzing noise.
So Kokot had no choice but to grab Viktor's arm, shake it, and ask him in a soft voice:
"Victor, when are we going back?"
"I miss my clouds and my garden."
For some reason, ever since Viktor woke her up from the sacred tree that day, she had wanted to do the same thing to Viktor.
In human terms, this should be called... being cute?
Kokote was thinking.
She gave up thinking and clung tightly to Viktor's arm, unwilling to let go.
"Or you can hold me, maybe I'll fall asleep if you hold me."
Simply put, she still doesn't want to walk on her own.
Days without clouds are really tiring.
But then, a sound of flapping wings came from the sky.
A black feather swayed in the wind and passed in front of Kokot.
A jet-black, one-eyed raven perched on Victor's shoulder.
It shook its body and fiddled with its protruding feathers with its beak.
Hmm? Victor's Raven?
Kokot was slightly taken aback when she realized that the crow pet that usually followed Victor had just disappeared.
After Vega returned, Victor subtly withdrew his arm from Kokot's grasp.
"If you don't want to walk, I can temporarily prepare a bicycle for you."
"Goose?"
Upon hearing this, Cocotte couldn't help but feel puzzled.
A means of transportation? What is a means of transportation?
Viktor gazed at the empty space ahead, a slight smile playing on his lips, and said rather mysteriously:
"The premise is that you have to be able to accept it."
The next second, a crack emitting a ghostly green light suddenly tore open in the space in front of Viktor.
boom--!
A massive, imposing body emerged from the rift from the gates of the dead.
The two massive doors opened wide to both sides, from which crimson vortexes surged.
A thick, dark green smoke billowed out, instantly enveloping the entire area.
At the very top of that gate, the eyes of the goat skull blazed with eerie green flames.
At the same time, orange-red sparks and flames spewed from that mouth.
The two mingled together, carrying an extremely terrifying aura of death.
Even the once clear and bright sky became incredibly gloomy.
Beneath the thick smoke, a crimson hue climbed up the clouds.
It was as if the entire world was gradually being submerged by this scarlet color.
Koko stood there, stunned, staring at the rising gate, a sense of foreboding rising in his heart.
Then, her premonition came true.
