Chapter 436 But life is full of choices.

It was already late, and only dim lights illuminated the Delin residence, making it exceptionally quiet.

Kefla saw Victor off as he left the mansion.

The two walked silently through the stone-paved courtyard, only the crisp sound of their footsteps echoing in the air.

Upon reaching the courtyard gate, Kefla, standing behind Victor, finally couldn't help but ask:

"So, why did you bring Angus's armor out?"

This is a problem that has plagued Kevlar from beginning to end.

Today, that snow mastiff armor is still kept in the Delin mansion.

Victor did not take it with him.

It was as if they deliberately wanted to bring that armor back into the light of day and take it back to their home.

As Viktor listened to her question, he walked ahead and explained calmly:

"I want to ask him some questions."

"I'm curious about some things concerning Gwen."

Huh? Ah?

Upon hearing this, Kefla stopped in her tracks, her eyes widening as she stood frozen in place.

No, isn't Angus already dead?

They want to dig up his bones and ask him some questions?

This just doesn't make sense no matter how you look at it.

Before Kevlar could fully process what was happening, Victor dropped another bombshell on her:

"But when I opened Angus's tomb, I found that his body was not inside."

Kevlar: "?"

Upon hearing Viktor's words, Kefla was so shocked that she was speechless.

His mouth was half-open, and his vision blurred for a moment.

Wait, what did Viktor say?!

They even opened the coffin!

Kefla stood still, shaking her head violently like a rattle-drum.

She was trying to clear her head, but then realized that the matter didn't seem to matter.

So he quickly pressed Victor for more information:

"What's the meaning?"

Victor dug up her father's grave, only to find that her father wasn't there.

Victor said to Kevlar in a low voice:

"In the tomb, there was only Angus's armor."

"So I brought that armor out with me."

Kefla fell silent, feeling as if some words were stuck in her chest, unable to be uttered.

If what Victor said is true, then it would be a paranormal event.

She personally directed the excavation and construction of that tomb.

It is certain that no one has tampered with the tomb.

Moreover, Angus's body had clearly lost all signs of life, so the possibility of him feigning death could be completely ruled out.

So, what exactly happened?

Then she remembered Viktor's purpose.

He said that Angus's grave was dug up in order to find out something about Gwen.

This is utterly absurd.

But she still couldn't help but ask:

"So, what do you want to ask about Gwen?"

Victor had already left the mansion and was standing outside the gate.

Hearing Kevlar's voice, he turned around and met her gaze.

A high wall cut between the two, as if completely separating them.

On one side is a brightly lit mansion, and on the other side is a dark street.

The dim light cast a somewhat hazy shadow on him.

In that hazy light, Viktor's obsidian-like eyes seemed to emit two dark beams of light from the darkness:

What exactly did Gwen go through as a child?

...

The carriage wheels rolled over the winding blue brick road, the carriage swaying slightly, and the crisp sound of the wheels echoed in the quiet night street.

The carriage was not pulled by horses; instead, the wheels on either side swirled with a magical blue light, propelling the carriage forward.

Victor sat in the carriage, lifted the curtain of the window, and looked at the Delin mansion not far away.

A reddish-yellow light shone through the huge, white windows of the mansion, appearing especially soft against the backdrop of the bright moonlight.

The Delin residence grew smaller and smaller in his sight until it was obscured by the dense foliage and disappeared from view.

Vega stood opposite Victor, shaking his body.

Using its single eye, it raised an eyebrow and looked at him, then opened its beak and spoke as if mocking him;

Are you satisfied now?

Victor turned around and met Vega's single, deep eye:

"I may not be able to rest easy in the future, but at least I am satisfied for now."

Vega chuckled, his long, narrow laugh echoing through the street.

Viktor, on the other hand, remained expressionless, his eyes closed as he pondered on the cushioned back of the carriage.

In fact, Victor lied to Kefla.

He did visit Angus's grave, but did not find Angus's remains.

However, he didn't tell Kefla.

Inside the tomb, Angus's armor came to life on its own.

Just like the armor called "Hellfire General" in Tisnato's tomb last time.

Angus's armor has also been transformed into a level 50 boss unit.

Its name is—【Snow Mastiff Knight】.

The tomb also lacked the original owner's corpse, but instead contained a piece of moving armor.

This inevitably led Viktor to connect the two and suspect that there was a special relationship between them.

Although in the end he easily defeated the strangely behaving armor and brought it out of the tomb, handing it over to Gwen.

Although he could have simply left with the armor and there was no need to hand it over to her.

It was in Angus's grave that Victor realized something.
