Chapter 505 Good news: There is a god. Bad news: An evil god.

He is a god, an irreplaceable god, and he absolutely cannot fail here.

In a state of extreme tension, Hermes could only hear the whistling wind and the cracking of the air.

Thick clouds swept past his eyes as he passed through the azure sky and ventured deep into the dense atmosphere.

He had to keep running; he absolutely could not stop.

Otherwise, he couldn't even imagine the consequences if that 'monster' caught up with him.

However, as Hermes fled further and further away, he suddenly sensed something unusual about the air around him.

The temperature around us seemed to be getting higher and higher.

He initially suspected that it might be due to the high temperature generated by friction.

But the deeper he went into the clouds, the more uneasy he felt.

Because the flames had been blocked by his divine power, but the heat penetrated his body directly and spread throughout his limbs.

Hermes looked around abruptly, his eyes widening in shock.

At this moment, the thick clouds were filled with interwoven black and crimson, just like a collapsing hellish landscape.

Even within the deep clouds, a low, furious roar suddenly erupted, like the muffled tolling of a bell.

A sudden alarm bell rang in Hermes' mind, and he felt an unprecedented panic.

No, no!

Despite the intense heat around him, cold sweat still broke out on his forehead, and his body was enveloped in a chill.

Sweating profusely, he couldn't help but turn his head and slowly look behind him.

What came into his view was an enormous, blazing sun.

The dazzling light instantly enveloped his entire body, clinging tightly to his skin.

In an instant, only the reflection of that enormous crimson sun remained in those pupils that had flowed through the golden sand.

The terrifying, blazing sun pierced through the crimson clouds behind him, completely engulfing his body, which was shrouded in holy light.

From the depths of the sun, a deep, anxious voice rang out.

"I feel like I've seen you somewhere before."

When was that?

As the voice rang out, Hermes felt a chill run through his body.

He was trembling all over, but the cold sweat on his body had already evaporated due to the high temperature.

His throat trembled, and he desperately wanted to make a sound.

But his throat, being so close to the sun, was subjected to an extremely hot veil, and a terrifying burning sensation filled his throat. It felt as if a violent tearing was constantly churning within him.

Suddenly, a look of astonishment appeared on Hermes' face.

Around him, the originally fine red cracks were gradually covered by deep darkness.

From those dark, shadowy fissures, a deep, dark liquid seemed to flow down, viscous and malevolent.

Countless tentacles formed from extremely black liquid slowly stretched out from the sky, their curved tentacles covered with countless twisted, torn mouthparts.

The scorching sun was tightly enveloped by countless blasphemous tentacles, gradually tightening in the sky.

The sun was compressed tightly as it collapsed, tearing a huge rift in the calm space.

A clear, pale white hue, like a vast ocean, floated before Hermes.

The next second, the enormous white object began to spin.

And gradually, it was reflected in Hermes' golden eyes.

It wasn't a white ocean at all, but a white pupil that hadn't yet turned around.

But at that moment, the eyeball in the spatial rift turned around.

Those deep, crimson-ringed eyes gazed ever onward into the distant abyss.

Sizzle sizzle—

The terrifyingly ferocious eye stared at Hermes, its enormous pupils almost causing him to lose consciousness completely.

But in his hazy state of consciousness, that clear and heavy voice suddenly struck his eardrums.

"I remember now."

Immediately afterwards, countless twisted and ugly tentacles stretched out from around the eyeballs, as if the chaotic abyss was awakening, gradually engulfing Hermes.

He could only helplessly watch as his body was entangled by viscous black tentacles, and everything in his vision was obscured by the writhing darkness.

It was as if I had escaped from a scorching hell and fallen into a cold abyss.

As he slowly drifted into tranquility in his daze, that sinister voice still echoed in his mind.

Like a demon that clung to his body, it lingered for a long time:

"You ran away like this once too."

"Just like now, out of fear, he betrayed the gods and fled alone."

"But this time..."

In an instant, Hermes, who was heavily wrapped up, turned into a black, writhing mass of flesh and blood.

Countless tentacles dragged him violently, while countless mouthparts tore at him relentlessly.

Finally, he was slowly dragged into those deep eyes.

Countless crimson rings swirled around the black flesh and blood, transforming into tiny ripples of air that passed through the tearing tentacles and flowed into Hermes' seven orifices.

In that moment when his consciousness began to fade, Hermes opened his mouth and uttered a clear yet desperate sound.

"Ha...bi...ka..."

As the writhing mass of black flesh disappeared, the enormous, deep pupil blinked gently through the massive rift.

Beneath the pitch-black sky, only a gigantic, one-eyed blazing sun remained.

"This time."

"You have nowhere to run."
