In Clevina's territory, a woman hurried across the spacious mansion courtyard, running towards the outer gate.
Behind her, an elf wearing a half-mask followed closely.
Lia quickly arrived at the iron gates of the Clavner mansion.
Two demi-human guards stood on either side of the iron gate, protecting the mansion.
They pricked up their ears alertly, and upon hearing footsteps, quickly turned around to look in the direction of the sound.
They assumed that someone had broken into the Clevner mansion because of their inadequate supervision.
Upon closer inspection, they recognized Lia and lowered their guard.
They all stood with their legs together and bowed.
"Miss Liya!"
The two demi-human guards looked at her respectfully, their cat and dog ears twitching slightly before returning to calm.
Lia finally stopped at the door, resting her hands on her knees and bending over, panting.
Her forehead was covered with fine beads of sweat, and the soreness in her muscles made her squint.
It seems she needs to exercise more in the future.
Leon, who was right behind her, stood beside her and nodded to the two demi-human guards.
The guards quickly understood Leon's meaning, turned around and stood back on either side of the gate, their backs turned, and they perked up their ears again, alert.
At this moment, Leon gently bent down and stroked Leah's back to help her regulate her breathing.
"Miss Lia, what's wrong?"
Leon was a little curious as to why Miss Lia turned around and ran out of the mansion to the front gate after listening to Zola's words.
Having calmed her breathing, Lia slowly straightened up, smiled at Leon, and shook her head.
"fine."
Then, she turned to the open space outside the gate and shouted at the top of her lungs:
"Little Ke!"
Little Cart?
Leon blinked, somewhat puzzled.
She doesn't think she's heard of that name before.
Could it be one of Miss Lia's newly recruited guards?
But the next second, a strong and scorching aura of death suddenly enveloped her entire body.
Leon's emerald-like eyes widened suddenly, her hair stood on end, and even her pointed ears twitched involuntarily.
This terrifying aura... is like that of a demon god from the depths of hell.
Leon stood frozen in place, her mind blank for a moment, even forgetting to assume a defensive stance.
A terrifying sense of oppression rushed into the gate along with the air of the grassland, violently impacting Leon's face.
The feeling, like waves of hellish energy, was like a blazing wall of fire made up of countless ghosts, gradually engulfing her.
Leon's eyes were sharp, but the terrifying pressure in front of her made her unable to move an inch.
The atmosphere around her seemed to freeze, and she felt so tense that she almost stopped breathing.
But then...
"Woof!"
A clear bark came from not far away.
Leon was stunned.
She stood quietly in place, her sharp gaze fixed on the direction of the gate.
A unique three-headed dog, each head with its tongue lolling out, runs from a distance, its red fur gleaming in the sunlight.
Leon stared in disbelief at the strange three-headed dog that swept past her with a powerful whoosh and pounced on Leah.
As the puppy approached, the intense sense of oppression gradually dissipated.
Leon stood there, blinking, feeling as if everything that had just happened was an illusion.
Is it just an illusion...?
Leon turned around and looked in Leah's direction with a complicated expression.
I watched helplessly as she patted the three heads of the red puppy and rubbed its soft fur.
Just then, a voice rang out from beside Lia.
"Is this... the watchdog from hell?"
Lia nodded in response:
"That's what Viktor told me."
"He said it was called Cerberus."
Upon hearing this, Zola, who had just arrived, looked at the three-headed dog with a strange expression.
This thing... is actually the legendary hellhound?
She had initially thought that the guard dog Victor brought back from the Gates of Hell would be a powerful and terrifying creature.
But the little dog in front of them was even smaller than the ornamental hunting dogs kept by their chamber of commerce.
The only difference is that it has three heads.
Many people grow up hearing stories about the underworld.
Whether it was because their parents, who believed in gods, instilled the concept of hell in them from a young age, or out of curiosity about mysterious things.
The underworld has always been a mysterious and majestic realm in people's minds.
No one knows whether the existence of that place is real or not; there are just many different legends about the underworld.
People believe that the souls of the dead go there, and the underworld determines a person's fate based on the good and evil they have done in their life.
In many people's minds, Cerberus, the watchdog of the underworld, should be a being with three ferocious heads.
It is cruel and ferocious, capable of tearing all sinners who try to escape the underworld to shreds.
However, who could have imagined...
Zola looked at the three-headed dog from the underworld before her, and couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that it was so small.
And now.
As Lia stroked Cerberus's head, she began to ponder.
She remembered that shortly after Victor emerged from the treasure chest that day, he said he had brought back a dog.
At first, Lia thought it was just Victor's joke.
Let's just assume that Victor remembered what he told her back then and just found a three-headed monster to fool her.
