However, Hermes has now been arrested.
"However, there are also different ranks among the gods."
Persephone gave Erica a deep look, a hint of seriousness flashing in his eyes.
Erica was oblivious to the deep gaze he was receiving; she was still lost in the words Persephone had just spoken.
When she heard that even gods have different ranks, Erica nodded involuntarily.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with that statement.
Are those useless, unbelievable gods the lowest of beings?
Hades, the ruler of the underworld who has gained the faith of almost all of humanity, is clearly the most powerful being.
Persephone seemed to see through Erica's thoughts, but she didn't say anything, only gently shaking her head.
She didn't tell Erica.
Some deities are born into this world.
They don't need to be known by anyone, they don't need to be remembered by anyone.
It does not require any human faith.
Because they are the components of this world.
For example, 'rules'.
For example, 'nature'.
"You are a very lucky child."
"Persephone said softly to Erica," Erica said, looking somewhat confused.
She still didn't quite understand, and didn't realize how these words were related to her mother.
Was her mother also a deity?
Erica blinked, puzzled, a look of intense astonishment rising in her eyes.
No... that can't be, right?
Is her dad that powerful?
"alright."
Just as Erica was pondering, Persephone returned to his usual relaxed demeanor.
Erica gradually came to her senses and followed Persephone's gaze toward the gates of the underworld.
The massive gate, etched with lava-like patterns, was slowly opening.
The intricate gears around the door frame slowly turned, emitting a dull creaking sound.
Orange smoke slowly drifted out as the doors opened, and a long, deep red carpet stretched from outside into the palace.
The surrounding area is filled with huge, golden pillars, exuding an aura of majesty and solemnity.
Erica stood before the palace of the underworld, seemingly lost in thought.
Just then, Persephone's voice rang in her ears:
"Let's go inside."
Erica nodded and followed closely behind the other person.
We walked across the long red carpet and around rows of giant golden pillars.
Blue ghosts swirled around the palace, floating back and forth within it.
As the two figures passed by, the spirits craned their necks curiously, watching them walk deeper into the palace.
Erica walked along, glancing to both sides with curiosity in her eyes.
Occasionally, ghosts would float past her, startling her.
But upon touching her, the blue smoke quickly shattered and dissipated.
Erica was somewhat worried.
"Human bodies cannot touch the souls of the dead, so don't worry about it."
"They will recover on their own in a little while."
Erica said "Oh," but this time she didn't dare to look around anymore.
They continued to follow quietly behind the Queen of the Underworld.
Soon, the two came to a corner, where a deep red plush door stood before them.
The doors slowly opened to the sides, revealing a richly decorated and gilded room.
Erica could see the enormous, gleaming golden writing desk at the far end of the palace from a distance.
It is as magnificent as the base of a statue.
She approached with great curiosity and began to observe the golden writing desk.
As Erica walked around the desk, she noticed an object decorated with four golden legs.
She looked up and saw that it was a deep red chair with its legs plated with gold.
Just then, a powerful voice came from above her head:
"Human, come here."
Upon hearing the voice, Erica froze, slowly raising her head to look in the direction of the sound.
From that tall writing desk, she saw Hades, one hand supporting his face and the other holding a golden pen.
"Arriving before the judge's bench."
The voice carried a strong and heavy authority, which made Erica's heart tremble.
Her legs moved involuntarily, and she walked to the front of the writing desk.
Throughout this time, Hades kept his gaze fixed on Erica, scrutinizing the girl before him.
"Even if you are human, once you arrive here, you should abide by the rules of the underworld."
"Now, I will begin your trial."
The moment the words left his mouth, a scorching flame suddenly erupted from one of Hades's crimson eyes, flickering in the air.
"If you are a person of pure heart, you will be allowed to remain in the underworld."
"But if evil is hidden deep in your soul, you will surely fall into the deepest hell and suffer eternal torment."
After hearing Hades' words, Erica stood there, staring at him intently, as if speechless for a moment.
Seeing Erica's dazed expression, Hades thought his words had frightened her and couldn't help but mutter to himself.
This child shouldn't have such poor mental fortitude.
They even dared to challenge him to his face before.
But suddenly, Erica seemed to snap out of her daze and blinked.
“Uh…Professor Victor said he asked me to pass on a message to you.”
Hades frowned, looking somewhat puzzled.
Because he knew who the professor the other person was referring to was.
There was only one soul in the other person that annoyed him: that damned dog thief.
He wanted to see what kind of gibberish this dog thief could spout.
At this moment, Erica pursed her lips.
He scratched his cheek with one finger and said hesitantly:
He said, "A trial is fine, but you have to be nicer."
"Otherwise, he might blow up your underworld."
