Erica stood on a desolate landscape, surrounded by sharp bone spikes and rolling lava pits.
Before her stood a nine-headed serpent made of bones, swaying precariously.
The giant serpent's long body coiled around this island-like piece of land, with lava churning all around and white bones scattered about.
Its skeleton is so huge that it almost completely obscures any place to land.
Only a few tiny safe zones remained, covered in spikes and lava.
The giant serpent has nine heads of different shapes; some have protruding fangs, while others have bony tongues that sway.
But at this moment, every single head was no exception.
They wobbled and could hardly hold on.
boom--!
Suddenly, nine shockwaves crashed down one after another, violently impacting the already small island and creating several large craters.
The lava around the island was shattered and scattered, and the sharp, white bones around it were broken and scattered as the heads fell.
A thick wave of dust rose up, obscuring the entire shattered island landscape.
Erica simply stood there, head bowed, letting the strong wind brush past her.
The swirling air currents mingled, causing the black trench coat behind 'Erica' to billow wildly.
As the smoke and dust gradually dissipated, the soul fire in each of the Hydra's heads went out one by one.
Their bodies became lifeless and cold.
Erica's gaze swept coldly over the heads, her hands in her pockets, noticing the tiny cracks on them.
Without exception, they were all covered with tiny cracks.
Bang!
The next second, the nine heads, along with the massive skeletal body, shattered with a deafening roar, their fragments falling into the scorched soil and lava.
When the enemy before her was finally defeated, 'Erica' slowly raised her head.
The crimson trial text above their heads flickered again before being engulfed by flames, burning and changing its appearance.
[Defeat the Hydra, trial passed—]
[First Place - Victor Clavner]
Time taken: 9 minutes and 38 seconds
Seeing this record-breaking achievement, the countless souls on both sides of the stands erupted in cheers once again.
A deafening roar of cheers engulfed the entire scorched island.
Their illusory bodies all swayed unsteadily due to excitement.
But none of the departed souls cared whether their spirits would be shattered by the excessive cheering.
In the center of the stands, Hades remained seated in his deep red chair.
He rested one hand on the armrest, listening quietly to the continuous cheers around him.
At the same time, he kept a close eye on Viktor's calm and composed demeanor.
It's so fast again.
These are only two trials, yet this dog thief is performing better each time.
His previous best record took a full two hours.
He couldn't help but marvel at Victor's precision and decisiveness in dealing with the skeletal hydra.
That one and only attack struck each of Hydra's heads precisely in its most vulnerable spot, without missing a single one.
If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, even he, the King of the Underworld, would probably find it hard to believe.
The more Hades looked at Victor, the more he felt that it wasn't like this was his first time taking on this trial.
Because he even seemed to know in advance that the Hydra's head would keep regrowing.
Typical challengers need to try and find a way, relying on the burning of torches to gradually stop the Hydra's regeneration.
Viktor's performance from the outset was enough to shock Hades.
This dog thief actually blew up all of Hydra's heads at the same time.
Since having a head means you can keep regenerating, why not just blow all the heads up?
"If this continues, he'll probably pass the entire trial in less than a day."
Persephone, sitting next to him, leaned against the armrest of his chair, his eyes filled with surprise and a hint of delight.
Hades fell into deep thought upon hearing his wife's words.
one day.
The Hell Trials consist of twelve events, each a challenge to the limits of human endurance.
The initial trial of time was even the simplest of these twelve trials.
Only by passing through it can one be qualified to face the even more difficult and painful challenges ahead.
Although Victor passed the first trial quickly.
Is it possible to complete twelve challenges in just one day?
Even the most outstanding human heroes in Hell took about seven days to successfully fight their way out of the Underworld.
Hades's gaze was fixed on the human girl controlled by Victor.
Once the Hell Trials begin, the entire Underworld will become the battlefield for these trials.
This change will continue indefinitely until the trial ends.
This also means that Hades cannot return to the underworld to continue his work.
If that cunning dog thief really could complete twelve trials in just one day.
Hades will consider bestowing this human with a special honor.
This allows him to travel freely between hell and the human world.
But soon, Viktor's performance once again shocked Hades even more.
[The Third Trial Challenge]
This time, the entire landscape of the underworld began to change drastically.
The scorched soil was suddenly uprooted, and huge dark rocks began to slowly rise from beneath the surrounding lava.
Finally, everyone could see what the dark rock looked like.
This is not a huge rock at all, but a scorched mountain range flowing with lava!
This time, the burning writing extinguished the flames again, revealing the tasks that had been assigned.
