Countless islands, slumbering in the deep darkness, float silently in the void.
It seems they have left their mark in every corner of the world.
However, one of these islands has just welcomed guests from another dimension.
The gates of hell that had just closed faded from view and disappeared into the unfathomable darkness.
Even the flickering hellfire was extinguished.
Where the door disappeared, a huge gray-white cloud, like a descending messenger, silently floated above the island.
This enormous cloud seems to be the embodiment of a soft, gentle realm.
Its body covered the island's land, looking like an incredibly soft platform.
Only the center of the platform was sunken.
On the clouds, a god with disheveled hair lazily stretched out his body.
I rubbed my eyes and looked at the human who was also lying down to sleep in front of the cloud.
However, the other creature did not enjoy the same elegant treatment; it could only lie on the cold, hard ground and slowly drift off to sleep.
Having arranged these troublesome matters, Hypnos stretched out an arm, appearing unharmed and powerless.
It placed its limp hand near its slightly open mouth.
After making a yawning motion, I prepared to pull off the eye mask on my head and drift back to sleep.
The event happened so suddenly that Hypnos didn't have time to sleep, and a pinkish light flickered in the corner of his eye.
Soon after, a girl dressed in a white dress and wearing a flower crown emerged from the pink glow.
The girl looked down at Erica, who was still fast asleep, then looked up at Hypnos, who was about to fall asleep again, and asked softly:
"Was she hypnotized by you?"
Hypnos, who had been dozing off, opened his eyes in confusion upon hearing the voice.
He looked toward the source of the sound and saw the girl standing in front of him.
Hypnos nodded upon hearing the question.
I plan to continue its dream after answering the question.
But as it prepared to close its eyes, a feeling of unease suddenly arose.
The shadow that was troubling him seemed familiar somewhere.
Filled with intense doubt, Hypnos opened his eyes wide.
Through the haze, I could make out the figure in front of me.
Standing before it was Persephone, the Queen of the Underworld.
Upon seeing her, Hypnos's drowsiness vanished instantly, and he stared in astonishment at the goddess before him.
Hypnos's lips moved slightly, and he hesitated before speaking:
"...Your Highness?"
Although the content and terrain of the trial have changed.
However, during the trial, no one other than the trial participants was allowed to enter this area at will.
Upon Persephone's sudden appearance, Hypnos instantly understood an important fact.
"Mother, did she fail?"
He asked thoughtfully.
The one who altered this trial was Nyx, the goddess of the night, who has always resided in the mysterious Dark Mansion.
If she leaves there, or if she suffers a defeat there, then the core of Tartarus will be left unguarded.
This would mean that anyone could freely enter and exit the trial grounds without any restrictions.
Persephone crossed her arms and gazed at Hypnos with a gentle yet profound look, a slight smile playing on her lips:
"And the fact that you are following my instructions shows that you don't have high expectations for your mother's success."
Hypnos shook his head slightly and slowly opened his mouth.
A muffled, hypnotic sound, heavy with an overwhelming sense of euphoria, emanated from his throat:
"No, it's not that I don't think highly of her... I just never attack humans."
As the god of sleep, he has almost no means of attack.
Its only ability is hypnosis.
Persephone, sensing the deep, hypnotic voice, casually waved his hand as if to indicate his understanding.
"Oh dear, exactly the same."
As the god of sleep, Hypnos possesses the ability to force others into a dream state.
The weary will sleep more soundly under its power, and it can even make people dream of the sights or people they desire most.
Moreover, the hypnotic dreams induced by Hypnos felt extremely real.
Hypnotized individuals often find it difficult to distinguish whether they are in a dream or still in reality.
"It's enough if she can get some rest."
Persephone lowered his head gently and looked at Erica, who was sleeping soundly on the ground, with tender eyes.
Then, she raised her head again, her gaze sharp as she stared at Hypnos.
"By the way, did you bring that person into your dream as well?"
Hypnos blinked, looking somewhat tired.
It took me a while to realize who "that person" Persephone was referring to.
"The user wearing the Hellfire Armor?"
It could sense that person's presence because the body the other person was currently using contained a portion of its divine power.
However, Hypnos paused for a moment, then added with a hint of doubt:
"His soul is terrifyingly resilient, possessing an absolutely indomitable spirit."
"He will absolutely not go to sleep if he fails to achieve his goal."
Upon hearing these words, Persephone paused slightly in surprise.
It seems that even she herself did not expect that even the power of the god of sleep could not make Victor fall into a dream.
But soon, Hypnos's languid and gentle voice rang out again in the air:
