The surroundings fell into a deep, dark silence once again.
A sense of emptiness and etherealness seeped silently into every crack in the armor.
Orange hellfire blazed like a lion's mane, tightly enveloping the crimson armor.
The flames flickered wildly like an enraged creature.
They attempted to burn away the surrounding abyss of deathly darkness, revealing their true form.
However, the darkness from all sides was like an endless beast, surging wildly wave after wave.
In the long darkness, Viktor stared at the seemingly empty space and fell silent.
flapping flapping —
Suddenly, the sound of flapping wings pierced through the deep darkness and nothingness.
The sound, carried by a gentle breeze, pierced through the armor and softly reached Victor's ears.
He slowly raised his head, his fiery eyes piercing through the stillness to catch a glimpse of wings flickering in the darkness.
A jet-black, one-eyed raven drifted slowly from afar and flew to the top of Viktor's head.
Vega stared at the opened armor, his single eye furrowing.
This armor seemed familiar to it.
It lowered its head and gently pecked at the red armor on Viktor's body.
A dull yet slightly crisp metallic clang rang in my ears.
The crow's one eye widened, and it opened its beak, seemingly uttering a sound of surprise in human language:
"Isn't this the armor from that tomb?"
"It has become the body you are using now?"
Vega remembered that this armor had some connection to the teleportation chest that led to the underworld.
Hearing Vega's surprised exclamation, Victor nodded slightly and replied:
"Without this armor, I wouldn't be able to move around in hell."
At this point, his thoughts suddenly drifted to Lia.
He knew that if Leah hadn't gone to great lengths to find him at the gates of hell, he might not have been able to obtain the crimson armor.
Fortunately, he had already made all the necessary preparations.
If Lya were to contact him through Cerberus, then the three-headed hellhound would surely bite a hole in the armor.
In this way, one can obtain the power from hell.
Otherwise, Cerberus would not be able to return to the Underworld.
After that, as long as Lia found him.
Viktor could then instruct her to bring this armor from the human world when they meet again in the future.
Things just didn't go as Victor expected.
Lia brought this armor with her when she first came to the Underworld, omitting the process of instructing her.
"Well, no wonder you're so eager to have a married woman create a body for you."
After all, he needed to wear this armor.
Having learned all this, Vega couldn't help but raise his head and look around.
Viktor and the space he was in were filled with endless darkness.
The deep, deathly darkness was like an abyss, seemingly about to swallow everything.
"This place is really nice; it's an amazing ability."
Vega's single eye darted around curiously, examining this strange, empty space.
This is the realm of dreams.
However, there is nothing in the dream now, because Erica has already woken up.
Once the dreamer awakens, it signifies the collapse of the dream and the dissipation of all its elements.
The hot spring we just experienced was created because of Erica's exhaustion and longing for rest, resulting in that warm and gentle dream.
As for why Vega was also allowed in.
Because it also found a place to sleep.
"It feels like it's been so long since I stood on your shoulders."
Vega got to see Victor again.
However, the circumstances surrounding their reunion were rather unusual.
As for why they could only meet through Erica's dream...
That's because they're not in the same space.
One is about to reach the very top of the underworld, while the other is in the heart of hell, at the very core of Tartarus.
And dreams, a means that can disregard space, are undoubtedly the best solution for them to meet.
In fact, this is precisely the reason why Victor was pulled into a dream by Hypnos, the god of sleep.
There were some things he could only ask Vega.
"So, do you think she'll pass?"
Viktor's voice echoed in this void.
He was clearly referring to Erica.
Upon hearing this, Vega didn't even hesitate before replying:
"It's difficult."
Vega stayed close to Erica, witnessing the many hardships she overcame.
It understands Erica's current strength better than anyone else.
Indeed, Erica defeated many gods, but that does not mean she possesses god-level power.
Erica's repeated victories were largely due to a portion of Victor's power residing within her.
At the same time, those natural elements that are highly compatible with her special physique.
This caused her to unleash power beyond Vega's expectations.
However, even so, Erica has a fatal weakness.
She was only a third-tier mage.
The gods she faced were at least sixth-order beings.
Of course, Vega never took those gods seriously; their strength was mostly exaggerated.
It had never even heard of the children of Nyx, the goddess of night.
Revenge, vice, tragedy, disgust...
It is merely a deity evolved from the various emotions stripped away from the goddess of the night.
