Chapter 603 Aminos

Braxton Weather Bureau.

Norma was extremely anxious and couldn't calm down at all.

Hurried footsteps echoed in the room, and eyes frequently looked up.

Look at the only celestial sphere in the room that is emitting light.

She didn't quite understand.

I originally thought that as long as we could find the source of the conspiracy, we could find a way to solve this disaster.

But now, the source has indeed been found.

But everyone present was dumbfounded.

The source of this conspiracy actually came from underground?

This made Norma extremely anxious, like an ant on a hot pan.

If this spread of darkness affects border guards on both the North and South.

That would be dangerous!

Just as she was pondering a solution to this.

The mage who had given the report earlier looked at the celestial sphere and suddenly his eyes widened.

"No, that's not right! Chief! There's a new situation!"

"What's wrong now!?"

Norma frowned and moved closer to the sound.

He placed his hands near the celestial sphere and quickly began to observe the images displayed on it.

“A new power is emerging from the earth, and it has already…”

"already?"

She was about to ask what was going on, but before she could finish speaking, a strange, bright light suddenly pierced through the entire black mist.

The deathly darkness that had just engulfed the four directions was suddenly torn open with many messy cracks.

Rays of dawn light poured out from it, falling towards the celestial bodies.

Upon seeing this, Norma ran to the window almost frantically.

At that moment, her gaze quickly passed through the window and looked up at the deep sky above.

That one glance left her stunned.

That's not the dawn breaking, nor is it daybreak.

That was clearly an endless display of dazzling light and color.

Like spilled liquid dye, it flowed across the entire dark sky.

Moreover, this endless stream of light, stretching for thousands of miles, continued to shift and change, its colors growing ever more intense.

However, the dazzling light was quite glaring.

From its initial brilliance and splendor, it slowly transformed into a strange scene that could not be discerned by the naked eye.

The dazzling light was eerie; staring at it for too long could even cause mental confusion and impaired perception.

Take Norma, for example.

When she saw that mesmerizing color, she didn't initially sense anything strange.

However, under a strange temptation, her gaze was fixed on the increasingly chaotic colors.

For a moment, an extremely strange and indescribable language echoed in her mind.

It was like the buzzing of mosquitoes' wings, noisy and disruptive.

However, as time went on, the noise actually began to become clearer.

It seemed to be an extremely strange language, constantly whispering in her ear.

Although she couldn't understand the tone of the words, strangely enough, she could understand their meaning.

She had no idea whether the strange lights in front of her were dangerous.

But he couldn't take his eyes off her.

The clear depths of her eyes reflected the color that filled her pupils, and her reason began to waver.

Apart from that strangely colored sky, the surrounding scenery all became distorted and magical.

Norma now realizes that she shouldn't have kept staring at the light.

However, it was too late.

Not only her, but the other mages around her were also drawn to this light.

At that moment, Norma finally understood the meaning of 'already'.

Because they were deeply involved.

They could no longer escape this eerie, mesmerizing light that evoked a sense of belonging.

...

Night falls on the southern border.

Chaos and war raged across the southern border of the empire, with all sorts of elemental magic and even strange spells summoned by prayers raining down.

Countless soldiers, their hands trembling, pulled the triggers of their guns and cannons, firing incessantly at the monsters ahead.

Cold sweat dripped down with each click of his fingers, and rapid breathing and a heaving chest accompanied his exhalation.

The spray of blood, like a torrential downpour of pear blossoms, splattered onto the faces of the imperial soldiers, driving them even more mad.

The demi-humans flew across the battlefield, stepping over the gutted monsters, tearing at the pieces of flesh and blood of the recently fallen corpses.

Next, remove the skeletons of these monsters, expose the flesh and blood, and check if there are any hidden, twisted tentacles.

The sheer number of monsters that surged in and fell was simply too great; it was impossible for the demi-humans to inspect them all simultaneously.

Taking advantage of this gap, a hole was automatically drilled in a part of the flesh, and twisted black tentacles extended out from it.

They extended their mouthparts from the tips of their tentacles, revealing their eyes as they surveyed the surrounding scenery.

After confirming that the surroundings were safe and no demi-humans had discovered them, they quickly broke out of the monster's body.

It rolled and climbed over the black flesh and blood, fleeing towards a safer place.

Since the downfall of the Raiser family, all the technological weapons hidden within the family have been recovered by the Empire and distributed to the warriors guarding the border.

The results were surprisingly good.

But today's battle is extremely difficult.

Suddenly, darkness filled the sky.

No one knows how this black curtain that obscured the sky came about.

Without their sight, human soldiers are simply unable to fight properly.

Even those weapons have all become useless.

But the magical beasts were unaffected because they possessed advantages that humans were inherently inferior to.

Sense of smell.
