Chapter 65 Victor, you really came into this world?

Lia looked up at Victor's expression, and as she had expected, it was utterly indifferent.

It's as if I have absolutely no recollection of it.

"I knew it. How could my master, the sorcerer, remember such a nobody?"

Lia clicked her tongue twice and shrugged.

“Parson has a wife, and the two live in Lambardo, but Parson is away from home for nearly half the year.”

Lambardo is a village in Clementa's territory.

"Our family's mage master, I don't know when, suddenly decided to take a look around the territory."

"As a result, he was offended by Parsons' wife."

"Just because you were accidentally bumped into by the other person when you got off the carriage."

Liya's voice was somewhat indifferent.

The rest of the story is quite different.

Parsons' wife apologized in a panic, but Victor was not satisfied.

With a casual remark, he sent this pregnant woman to work in the mines.

Such intense labor is naturally unbearable for a pregnant woman.

"At work, a woman suffered a miscarriage and was on the verge of death."

Although she was later found and saved, she was left with a chronic illness and could no longer have children.

Lia recounted her past, and Victor listened quietly.

Although that was something Viktor had done before.

The grain merchant returned home and saw that his once beautiful wife no longer had a smile on her face.

So he quit his job, which could have supported him for the rest of his life, and, filled with hatred, came into contact with the kingdom's soldiers, namely Chur.

“Parsen used his connections in the territory to create a fake identity for Chur and introduced him to us.”

What happened after that needs no further elaboration.

After hearing the whole story, Viktor remained silent.

In conclusion, all of this was Viktor's own doing.

Strictly speaking, the former Viktor was a truly detestable character.

He disregarded the lives of every commoner and every nobleman; similarly, he only cared about himself.

No one can enter his heart; he looks down on everyone with equal contempt.

Everyone else is nothing more than a speck of dust and an ant in this world, except for him.

He had an extremely bad reputation among the nobility.

When others become third-tier mages, they may be envied, but they will also receive heartfelt blessings from their friends.

Only Victor, could he expect any nobleman to greet him?

You're lucky if you don't get spat on.

Even among players, Viktor's reputation is that he has nothing to offer except for his good looks and power.

Therefore, he had no friends, and even his only relative eventually turned against him.

In the future, there was a storyline involving Victor that was recorded and passed down among players.

A down-on-his-luck nobleman, with no one to help him, wandered the streets.

Viktor saw him and said, "If you exchange your most precious possessions with me, I will help you regain everything you once had."

Hearing Viktor's words, the nobleman gave Viktor his most precious family heirloom.

As a result, Viktor accepted the family heirloom, but then told him...

“You have broken the deal with me. The most valuable thing is never something external to you.”

He brought the other man's wife and children into his mansion, forcibly sent the families of the impoverished nobles to work in their territory, and told them that their families had sold them out of the empire and gone to other countries to live a life of luxury and wealth.

This poor nobleman was eventually exiled by Victor, and players never saw him again.

To this day, he still remembers Viktor's famous quote.

Why isn't your family your most precious possession?

Many players wanted to decipher the deeper meaning behind Victor's words, but the game developers have never written about the past of these in-game NPCs.

Viktor's despicable behavior is enough to be remembered for a lifetime.

Lia was still talking.

"There's something I haven't told you before: our prop shop was vandalized on opening day."

"And then I suddenly remembered that you gave me this just a few days before that time."

Lia raised her hand, and the sparkling gems on her fingerless gloves shone brightly in the sunlight.

Victor listened quietly as Leah continued her story:

"I was quite curious before, since the only person you had a grudge against during that period was the Duke."

"However, after I sent people to arrest those who smashed the shop and questioned them thoroughly, I found that it wasn't the case at all."

"It now seems that the grain merchant was prepared all along."

Liya's voice was somewhat cold.

After Victor gave her the Mage's Hand, she only used it once, during the attack on the caravan.

Only the people in the caravan at the time saw her use magic.

But when she went to capture Chur today, Chur used a magic-suppressing stone on her.

He even thought he was a second-tier mage.

From the very beginning, when the caravan was attacked, the kingdom's people, through Parsons, had been keeping an eye on Victor.

Everything is connected.

She knew her brother had a bad reputation, but she never expected that even the people of the kingdom would have their eyes on him.

His talent made the neighboring kingdom feel threatened.

Just then, Viktor suddenly spoke.

"Go and give some compensation to that grain merchant's wife."

Lia was taken aback, looked up at Victor, not quite understanding what Victor meant.

The term "compensation money" has two meanings: one is for disability compensation, and the other is...
