She was wearing her familiar black and white nun's habit, with a black nun's hood hanging down on her head.
The nun's robes were edged with gold patterns, and the glittering tassels stood out prominently from her proud bosom.
Michaela, blindfolded, placed her hands lightly on her lower abdomen, displaying utmost respect:
"The great Victor Clementine Godfather."
Victor calmly examined the nun before him, staring at her for a moment before his gaze settled on her chest.
Ten years have passed, and the bishop seems to have become much more prosperous.
She's almost as big as Henney.
Viktor subtly withdrew his gaze and calmly began to speak:
"I thought you would treat me as an enemy."
"After all," he smiled confidently.
“I personally sent back one of the gods you wished to return to.”
Viktor was referring to the glittering Hermes.
Michaela smiled and placed her hand on her chest, responding calmly:
“Now that I have recognized you as the Church Father, I will not go back on my word.”
She acted with utmost piety, radiating an aura of holiness.
Even though her eyes were covered, her sincerity was still evident.
Seeing the other person's reaction, Viktor smiled faintly:
"It seems that ten years is enough time for you to understand the meaning of God."
Victor had spoken to Michaela about the relationship between gods and believers.
Therefore, he could sense that Michaela was no longer as obsessed with the return of the gods as she had been ten years ago.
The relationship between God and believers is actually very simple.
Believers have faith in God, and God grants them strength.
Both are actually maintaining a stable level of fairness.
Because God is not in this world.
They entrust their power to believers, allowing them to walk the world in the name of God, thereby expanding God's influence.
In this relationship, believers are essentially the gods' servants.
But for these migrant workers, they are actually happy.
Just like the Church of Abundance where Michaela belongs, they are doing their best to do what they want to do, regardless of whether there is a god.
And they enjoy it immensely.
Why?
Because they have no one above them.
As mentioned before, God does not exist in this world.
Therefore, everything the Church of Abundance does to help its residents is based on their spontaneity.
Under these circumstances, the residents were more grateful not to the Goddess of Abundance, but to the church members who actually put their ideas into practice.
The goddess of abundance simply granted them divine power, making it easier for them to perform their good deeds.
Church members will feel inner and spiritual satisfaction amidst the praise and gratitude of the residents.
But what if the gods really do descend?
The believers of the Church of Abundance have truly become laborers.
No matter how many good deeds they do, as long as they still have the "Goddess of Fertility" as their superior.
People would only express their gratitude to the goddess, not to these members.
And more importantly,
Today, Michaela is the bishop, and the entire operation of the Church of Abundance is in his hands.
Although the church's believers worshipped the goddess of abundance, they preferred to follow Michaela's commands.
But what if a goddess descends?
Then these believers will no longer obey Michaela's commands.
Even if the goddess commands them to obey Michaela, they will only regard it as the goddess's will.
These believers, out of jealousy of the goddess's favoritism towards Michaela, would also try to frame Michaela and attempt to cause her to lose her position as bishop.
The once harmonious Church of Abundance has been plunged into open and covert struggles due to the return of the goddess.
Clearly, this is not what Michaela wanted to see.
so,
"Goddesses and divine power are not important to you."
Victor raised his cane, pointed it to the sky, and blurted out:
"It's important to you that you don't have a goddess."
Michaela did not refute, but simply responded with a gentle smile:
"I understood this principle ten years ago, after you banished the God of Wealth."
“But I don’t think of God as evil as you do; I just want to ensure the church’s current abundance.”
Then, she looked at Viktor earnestly, her tone gentle.
"So, Father Victor, what is the reason you summoned me here?"
"If you want me to dedicate myself to you, I can do so right now..."
As she spoke, she prepared to tear off the fabric covering her ample bosom.
"Stop."
Victor stopped her, and Michaela then stopped pulling at her clothes.
Seeing the other person's emotions, I could even sense a slight disappointment.
Victor didn't come for this kind of thing; otherwise, he would have fed the two wolves at home who hadn't had enough to eat first.
It wouldn't be so late that someone would make a special trip to the church.
Seeing that Michaela had recovered, Victor continued:
“I think you know the believers of the Goddess of Justice better than I do.”
Upon hearing this, Michaela's mouth opened slightly, as if she had some idea of Victor's intentions.
Soon, she heard the other person's voice, which rang out with an icy chill:
"I can no longer stop the arrival of the goddess of justice."
"So, for Gwen, for my wife."
At that moment, a chilling, murderous intent flashed in Viktor's eyes.
It was as if a lion sleeping beneath a glacier had opened its eyes, determined to tear apart the evil that disturbed its slumber.
"I want to go back to my original plan and kill all those believers."
"Leave no one alive."
