The bright and warm sunshine shone on the compact farmland of Shulbon.
A cool morning breeze swept across the fields, bringing a touch of coolness to the hardworking residents.
In the fields, countless residents, wearing straw hats, bent over with their trousers rolled up, toiled away in the mud.
Just as they were focused, a carriage bearing the Clevina family crest drove normally along the road at the edge of the farmland.
Some residents heard the sound of the carriage wheels rolling and looked up.
However, their expressions instantly turned serious the moment their eyes fell on the family crest.
Their solemn expressions suggested they had foreseen an ominous sign that they couldn't avoid, and they all lowered their heads again to continue their work.
The carriage traveled for a long time, passing many farmlands.
Without exception, everyone felt fear as they passed by those residents.
Standing in the fields, their bodies trembled slightly, and any slight movement made their tense nerves sensitive and vulnerable.
Some residents, unable to withstand the pressure, dropped their hoes and fled in panic, shouting:
"The vampires are here!"
The exclamation quickly spread through the farmland, turning the remaining residents pale and causing them to break out in a cold sweat.
At this moment, the carriage finally stopped, and a tiger-man covered in orange fur and with muscles as strong as rocks stepped out.
The first thing it did after landing was to open an umbrella.
Then, a young girl dressed in a black and red dress gracefully stepped out of the carriage.
Her long, pale hair flowed in the morning breeze, and her ruby-like eyes shone with a mature luster.
Her pale skin looked like a flawless piece of white jade, noble and mysterious.
But what's most striking is the girl's impressively mature figure.
It seems completely mismatched with her youthful appearance.
The girl hid under a parasol, watching the residents who were tense with fear.
At this moment, the residents forgot their work and gripped their hoes as weapons.
They huddled together, their legs trembling, swallowing hard, their eyes filled with fear and wariness.
Priscilla's gaze swept over all of this, and a pang of sadness welled up in her heart.
As the residents' hostility became more apparent, the tiger-man beside Priscilla revealed his pale, long teeth.
A strong and oppressive sense of threat emanated from the farmland.
Priscilla quickly raised her hand, signaling the tiger-man to calm down.
However, this action only made the residents more panicked.
Thinking that the other party was about to attack them, they all shrank their necks, closed their eyes tightly, and became even weaker.
Seeing this, Priscilla could only sigh helplessly and whisper:
"Forget it, let's not take the carriage."
These residents recognized them only because they saw the carriage bearing the Clavenna family crest.
To avoid causing further panic among the residents, she decided to walk under the protection of a parasol.
Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to carry out their work properly.
Then, Priscilla turned to the carriage servant beside her and gently instructed:
"You drive the carriage back, and the two of us will walk to the church."
The driver nodded respectfully in response:
"Yes, my lord."
The carriage then turned around and slowly drove away along the road it had come from.
Meanwhile, Priscilla continued along the road, accompanied by the female tiger-woman.
Only after the lord and the tiger-man disappeared into the distance did the residents, who had been frozen with fear, gradually relax.
But for some reason, a sense of guilt welled up inside me.
They knew how much the lord cared for them in daily life, yet they were filled with hostility towards her because of unfounded rumors.
Just as they were collectively feeling a little guilty, a cold, stern command suddenly shattered the tranquility of the farmland:
"Tie them all up, leave no one alive."
The moment the sound rang out, every resident present was startled and quickly turned around.
But it was too late.
All that came into view was pitch blackness.
The demi-human who launched the attack suddenly acted with incredible speed, striking decisively before the opponent could react.
In no time, the demi-humans had stuffed the residents into sacks and tied them up.
Two demi-humans carried a sack and quickly piled them all into a carriage.
At the same time, a tiger-man, even more robust in build and with a more ferocious face, stood in the farmland.
Unlike the previous tiger-men, it has black stripes on its head that form the character "王" (king).
It clenched its fists, looked at the residents being transported away by horse-drawn carriages, and couldn't help but curse.
"The lord has always been so good to you, and you actually suspect she's a vampire?" *Spit*
The tiger-man spat on the ground, but when he turned his head, he saw a resident curled up on the ground.
The other person was trembling, but their eyes were tightly closed, and they dared not look at anything more.
"Um?"
The tiger-man bent down and squinted at the resident who was trembling all over and whose pants were wet.
He remembered that it was this very resident who had previously shouted defamatory remarks about the lord.
Then, the tiger-man revealed his sharp teeth and gradually brought his face closer.
His heavy, threatening breath washed over the residents' fear:
"You, open your eyes."
Upon hearing this rough and deep roar, the farmer's fear reached its peak.
He was so frightened that he dared not open his eyes, and could only shake his head desperately, his voice filled with despair and panic:
"Sir, spare me! Spare me!" "I won't open my eyes! I don't know who you are! Spare me!"
