The residents, however, were completely unaware of their good fortune in having such a benevolent lord, and were instead driven by a few rumors.
Although some of these rumors are indeed true—
After all, Priscilla is indeed a vampire, her father is also a vampire, and she has indeed secretly taken in many of her own kind.
Well, it seems that Priscilla doesn't have much to clarify.
Everything else is true except that she has never harmed a human.
However, these are not the truths that the residents need to know.
Finally, Victor looked at the silent, bowed residents and spoke again:
"Do you want to live a life without autonomy under other lords, or are you willing to continue maintaining the current harmonious state of Shulbon?"
"It depends on your own choice."
With a wave of his hand, Viktor's demi-humans stepped forward one by one and untied all the residents.
Upon seeing this, the residents stared wide-eyed, standing there filled with doubt.
Why, why were they untied?
Then, as they were confused, Viktor's calm voice rang in their ears:
"Now."
"You are free."
After untying the residents, the demi-humans retreated behind Victor and headed out of the basement.
Soon, all the demi-humans left the basement, leaving behind only the residents filled with doubt about being unbound, and Victor standing in front of them.
The residents looked at each other, still trying to understand this sudden change, watching Victor prepare to leave.
Suddenly, Viktor stopped, as if remembering something, and turned to say:
"By the way, I didn't originally intend to arrest you."
"If you have to blame someone, blame him."
As he spoke, Victor's gaze guided the residents to look at the man in the center of the crowd.
They remembered that the nobleman had told this man to "get out here himself" earlier.
Meanwhile, Victor had quietly adjusted his half-high top hat.
With crisp footsteps, we passed through the dim and mysterious passage and left the basement.
As Victor left, all the residents in the basement stared wide-eyed.
They all glared angrily at the man in the center of the crowd.
“I remember now, it was he who first spread the rumor that Lord Priscilla was a vampire!”
"He's the one who deceived us! The lord treated us so well, but we were all fooled by him!"
"That's right, he must have taken money from other nobles!"
As they talked, the residents became increasingly agitated.
Everyone trembled uncontrollably with rage, roaring as they continued to vent their fury.
"If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have been arrested. He almost made us all lose our jobs!"
"It's him! It's all his fault!"
A series of angry roars raged through the basement like wildfire.
The impact crashed against the cold, hard walls, engulfing the man in a furious rage.
The residents were filled with righteous indignation and wished they could tear the person in the center to pieces immediately.
