Chapter 709 Never done it before? That's lame.

A magnificent carriage stopped in the courtyard of Lord Shulben's manor, where the crest of the Clavner family still shone brightly.

As the coachman brought the carriage to a safe stop, he opened the door himself.

The three people sitting in the carriage got off the train one after another after realizing they had arrived at their destination.

After all three of them got out of the carriage, the driver closed the door, walked to the front of the carriage, and unloaded the baggage for the horses.

He picked up the reins, led the two horses, and turned to walk towards Lord Shulben's stables.

As he walked, he kept replaying the battle that had taken place on the way in his mind.

What happened on the road today was truly shocking.

He was deeply impressed by the cold female knight, whose beauty, nobility, and power left a lasting impression on him.

Filled with astonishment, the coachman, his expression grave, quickened his pace and hurriedly led the horses away from the mansion.

After the servants had left, Priscilla turned to Gwen and said:

"Miss Gwen, I'll have someone prepare a room for you right away."

Gwen visited this territory once ten years ago.

But then, due to a spell cast by Victor, the entire mansion was razed to the ground.

Today, although the place has been renovated, it has been redesigned according to Priscilla's aesthetic.

Miss Gwen may not be familiar with it.

Upon seeing the lord return, several servants greeted him.

Just as Priscilla was about to arrange a room for Gwen, Leah suddenly spoke up:

No, no need.

Upon hearing this, Priscilla paused for a moment, then turned to look at her aunt.

His blood-red, gem-like pupils shimmered with light, filled with doubt, as he continued to listen to Lia speak:

"Let Gwen and me share a room; it's been a long time since we've spent the night together."

Then, Priscilla saw Lydia turn her head and smile at Gwen.

"You're right, aren't you, Gwen?"

Gwen nodded without saying anything, which proved that she had no objection to it.

"Besides, I also have some things I'd like to discuss with Gwen."

...

"ha!"

As soon as Lia opened the door, she tossed the little pink fox onto the sofa beside her.

He then leaped forward and lay sprawled on the soft, fluffy bed, not wanting to move an inch.

I felt my tired body being supported by the soft, rose-scented bed, and my mind was completely blank.

During the month or so that Lia spent in the kingdom, she finally experienced the true joy of a vacation.

During her time in Braxton, she always took the initiative to do all the work, whether or not Victor was present.

Extremely busy, with almost no free time.

She had to make decisions on all matters, big and small, including handling complicated trade documents and receiving merchants from all walks of life.

It now appears that even when she was not at the Clevina home, everything remained as usual.

It seems that Leon is indeed reliable.

This month of relaxation even made Lia start to think about whether she should delegate more responsibilities.

Victor is back now, she shouldn't always stay at home.

Otherwise, wouldn't all the good things in life be wasted?

When I have free time, I take some time to travel and go shopping with Victor.

As for an heir, it's not too late to talk about it in a few years.

Just as Lia was lost in her fantasies about the future, a cold, mechanical voice sounded behind her:

"Shall we sleep in the same bed?"

Um?

Lydia, who had been fantasizing about shopping and traveling with Victor, suddenly snapped to attention.

Uh... I almost forgot, the main wife is right here.

Lia held her forehead, feeling somewhat troubled.

Thinking about what had happened recently, she didn't know how to face Gwen.

That's why she invited Gwen to sleep with her.

Let's... find an opportunity to test the waters first.

Lia sat up and looked up to see Gwen standing in front of her.

She paused, her words carefully chosen, then frowned and asked, half-teasingly and half-helplessly:

Didn't you bring any other clothes with you?

She had assumed Gwen would change into a new outfit after her bath, but to her surprise, Gwen was still wearing her armor.

Doesn't she get hot?

Summer is almost here, and the temperature is no longer as cool as it was in early spring.

The long dress Lia was wearing today made her feel a little sweaty.

Gwen was wearing such a layer of armor that Lydia felt unbearably hot just looking at her.

Uh, it seems like it really won't get hot.

When Gwen approached, Leah clearly sensed that the air around her had changed.

Instead, a slight coolness and chill swept over her, making her feel particularly refreshed and forcing her to abandon her worries.

Even so, she still hoped that Gwen could change into lighter clothes.

After all, wearing heavy armor indoors is indeed a bit excessive.

Seeing Gwen nod at her, indicating that she hadn't brought any other clothes, Leah felt quite helpless.

She was truly eager to see her husband; upon hearing the news, she rushed to the kingdom without even changing out of her armor.

Lia sighed and softly called out:

Vanilla!

No sooner had the call ended than Vanilla gracefully stepped from the depths of the mansion into the bedroom and bowed to Lia.

“Take Gwen to change into her pajamas. I don’t want to see her sleeping in a suit of armor.”

"yes."

Vanilla chuckled in agreement, then invited Gwen in a gentle tone:

"Knight Commander Gwen, please come with me."

Gwen was like an obedient child in front of Leah. When she heard Leah's request, she silently followed Vanilla to the dressing room.
