Having recovered from 'death', Aurelion was in a rather distressed state of mind.
Although she didn't die, for some reason, every time she was teleported back to her original location, she had the feeling that she had 'died' once.
It was as if they were mocking her failure.
Aurelion did not want to fail.
She began to think quietly.
Each time you 'die,' you start over.
Her condition will be restored, and the monster in front of her will also have its stamina restored by the teacher.
It was as if it was telling her.
You must defeat it once and for all.
This is a test.
Aurelion told herself that.
She rallied once again, drawing magic circles from her body, and while the demon was imprisoned, she imbued her body with various subtle buffs.
The instant the demon charged, she released the black mist once more...
Viktor, hidden in the sky, watched all of this unfold.
Once the boss is about to launch a potentially fatal attack on Aurelion, he will use teleportation magic to send them both back to their original location.
Also, restore Morino Majin and Aurelion to their original states.
He enjoyed it immensely.
Vega looked down and watched as the blue light flashed, and Aurelion and the Forest Demon were teleported back to their original spot. He couldn't help but start complaining.
"What grudge does she have against you? Why are you torturing her like this?"
"It's quite interesting, though."
After all, Vega had never seen such a 'novel' battle scene before.
The powerful monster can never kill the enemy, and the enemy will resurrect again and again, constantly challenging it.
It was like a playful game.
Vijay didn't think doing this would make any difference.
The strong are forged through constant battles against opponents of equal skill levels.
The difference between this monster and the princess is too great; Aurelione will never be able to kill it.
Unless, of course, she can reach the same level of perversion as Victor.
Vega found it hard to understand why Victor had fought the Calamity for three days and three nights and had only been injured once.
He has completely understood even something as powerful as Calamity, so what can't Viktor do?
Viktor, as if reading its thoughts, spoke in a detached tone:
"You asked me before why I, a mage, have such superb melee skills."
Vega paused slightly and looked at Victor.
Although he remained expressionless and indifferent, there was an indescribable sense of nostalgia in his eyes.
"I have been fighting in similar environments all the time."
"Once, twice, dozens of times, hundreds of times... even thousands of times."
"If you fail once, start over."
Viktor's gaze gradually hardened, and in his words, Vega seemed to see that epic scene.
A colossal dragon, obscuring the sky, floated above Viktor, who could only watch as the immense power and oppressive aura emanated from the beast.
Its left claw held a thunderous spear, its right claw gripped a wheel, and its other two giant claws held a thunderous drum.
It was an apocalyptic scene. Beneath the shattered floating island lay a dark, surging, corrupt ocean, constantly forming vortexes that threatened to engulf everything. The sky was devoid of any rosy light, and a heavy, oppressive atmosphere filled Victor's lungs.
He held only a silver blade, a pure light left behind by the previous hero who had annihilated tens of thousands of magical beasts. But beneath that dragon, its faint light seemed so small and fragile.
All around him were endless flames that had spontaneously combusted from the rocks struck by lightning; a single strike would be enough to completely annihilate Viktor.
If you fail, you have to start all over again.
Death, rise; death, rise.
Repeatedly.
Finally, he stood atop the giant beast's head and severed its head with a sharp blade.
He won, and won badly.
Vega couldn't understand.
Why do people keep repeating battles with such a huge disparity in skill level?
Even though the odds of winning were only one in ten thousand, they still flew in like moths to a flame.
"...Won't you get tired?"
Countless deaths and countless falls were all for the sake of a hard-won victory.
What is the point of doing this?
"tired?"
Viktor suddenly laughed.
This was the first time he had shown such a smile, as if he had found relief, or as if he had rediscovered his long-lost self in this scene.
"You only need to win once."
Suddenly, Vega's eyes fell on Aurelion below.
A red light shone in her hand, and a faint red flame appeared on her palm.
Almost touching the boss, Aurelion slammed her fist down on the monster's body.
For the first time, Morino Majin let out a painful howl!
Enraged, it lashed out with chains made of thick vines, sending Aurelion flying with a single blow.
Aurelion seemed to have been prepared, and a bright light emanated from one of her hands, blocking the attack.
"It's a success!"
Just as she was beginning to feel the joy of success, the demon's giant claws came hurtling towards her body.
Whoosh!
A flash of blue light, and she and the monster were back in the same spot.
Aurelion was in a daze, staring at the numbers on the ground.
"11".
Aurelion's defenses were somewhat broken after his eleventh defeat.
She became smug after only managing to attack her opponent once.
This shouldn't be the case.
As the magic power in his body returned, the monster's injuries were also healed.
Another round of battle has begun.
She stubbornly bit her lip, adopting a fighting stance.
