Chapter 756 Karencia, where anyone can be king!

Once the emperor is lost, the entire country is in grave danger.

Now, those gods are stirring again, about to return to the world.

Do you think those gods will let the empire off the hook then?

"So, why don't we just change the emperor?"

Viktor's lips curled up slightly, giving Vega a sense of malice.

"Who...who do you want to be emperor?"

"It must be you, how could it be me?"

Seeing Vega's wings freeze mid-air, Victor chuckled and added:

"I am also human, so I don't want to die young."

"And if you become emperor, you can naturally gain the faith of the entire empire and protect it. Isn't that killing two birds with one stone?"

Vega was stunned for a long time before finally managing to squeeze out a single word:

"ah?"

Wait a minute, why does Viktor's statement sound so reasonable?

Oh no, it's starting to get interested.

But why does something feel off?

To prevent the empire from being invaded by other gods, the solution is to find another god to be the emperor.

Isn't this like taking off your pants to fart?

But this is still somewhat reasonable, after all, Vega and the other gods do not belong to the same pantheon.

Moreover, those gods had always regarded it as a thorn in their side, and it was an enemy faction.

Victor quickly interrupted Vega's further thoughts.

"Alright, get ready, it's your turn to perform now."

Vega was slightly taken aback, then raised his head, his single eye looking straight ahead.

What it saw was that fine cracks were beginning to appear on the surface of the seven statues under the scorching heat of the raging fire.

Immediately afterwards, a hazy yet powerful aura seeped out from each statue, slowly swirling above their heads.

These auras are half of the power that each Emperor of Thor reserves for himself upon assuming the throne.

Since they had no bodies after death, these powers were sealed within the statues.

According to the original game storyline, during the Karencia Empire's struggle against the gods...

Empress Aurelian absorbed the combined power of these seven emperors throughout history, ultimately becoming the most powerful emperor.

Her power was so great that even Aubrey at his peak had to show her some respect.

And the final outcome needs no further explanation.

The power of the Seven Emperors made Aurelion incredibly strong, and no god could rival her.

But after defeating the gods, Aurelion herself died from overload, bleeding from all seven orifices.

This was the game's original ending. Since then, the main storyline has come to a complete close.

That's right, even in the main storyline of the game, the Thor bloodline failed to surpass the ninth generation.

Aurelion, the last emperor, didn't even live past thirty.

The Karencia Empire still exists, though the gods all perished in the war with the empire.

From this point on, the empire will no longer be invaded by gods, and the country will no longer need an emperor.

All Victor had to do was bring this forward a little.

At this moment, Vega stared at the seven swirling streams of imperial power, sensing the ever-increasing power within them, and his eyes widened.

“Victor, now I believe you really did dig here before.”

How did he even know such a secret?

Even the ancestors of the Thor family didn't know him as well as he did.

Victor didn't offer any further explanation and simply stated:

"Don't just stand there. Use the methods you're best at. We're going to take away this imperial aura."

"What's going on? In the end, I'm the one who has to do the work."

Vega twitched its beak, but the thought that all of this would eventually become its reward made it much more satisfied.

Then, its small body floated in the air, and a jet-black aura, like ink, gushed from its surface.

This jet-black stream of air rapidly drew an extremely complex magic circle in the sky.

Blackness covered the elusive flames, and then the totem suddenly trembled.

Seven jet-black chains burst forth from the center, suddenly wrapping around each of the swirling imperial auras.

The seven auras, sensing the sudden plundering power, were like enraged lions.

They struggled fiercely, trying to break free of the chains that bound them, resisting the pull of this strange force.

The power released by each breath filled the entire cave, and the strong air waves shook the earth and impacted everywhere.

This powerful force caused the seven black chains to vibrate violently, and the sound of steel clashing mingled into a continuous hum in the darkness.

Then, Viktor, who was standing in the center of the cave, seemed to hear a faint sound and turned around with his hands in his pockets.

"It's finally here."

No sooner had she finished speaking than Aurelion appeared in the doorway, panting heavily.

Upon seeing the scene before her, Aurelion's eyes widened, and she stood frozen in place.

She saw Victor standing in the flames, with the emperor statues around him cracking from the heat.

Above his head hung a pitch-black magic circle, from which a slow, flowing aura emanated, like wriggling tentacles.

Seeing this, Aurelia trembled all over, her eyes filled with disbelief.

"What...are you doing?"

"As you can see."

Victor turned around, slightly blocking Aurelion's unintentional view to prevent her from seeing Vega behind him.

Then, he slightly raised his head and looked down at Aurelion with an extremely arrogant and contemptuous expression:

"The era of imperial power must end, Aurelion."

"In Carencia, anyone can be king."
