Chapter 762 Wanting to Attend a Feast

Lush, tender green grass covered the soft, damp soil, while towering trees stood tall on the earth, stretching their robust bodies toward the sky.

Sparse green moss clung to the tree surface, its intricate patterns allowing caterpillars to slowly crawl along.

The hazy sunlight filtered through the dense foliage, and the dim light, through the dampness in the air, illuminated the drifting mist.

Beneath this beautiful scene, a pristine white cloud suddenly floats atop the earth.

Koko sat atop a cloud, his hands resting on the soft cloud, looking completely relaxed.

Victor followed behind her, hands in his pockets, his footsteps light as he stepped across the grass and over the jagged tree roots.

This scene looks like a father taking his daughter shopping.

In the forest, elves would occasionally peek out from behind tree trunks or above tree branches.

They spied on Victor and Cocotte as they walked, whispering amongst themselves and their companions.

"Isn't that the Elf Queen...? Who is she walking with?"

"That, that human! It's that human!"

"What 'that human'? We need to call him 'Dad'!"

The elves' whispers were faint, almost drowned out by the rustling of leaves.

But Kokot, as the Elf Queen, could hear these whispers clearly.

On the surface, she appeared relaxed and at ease, but inside she felt extremely embarrassed.

If she could hear the elves' conversation, then Victor certainly could too.

She didn't even dare to turn around and observe Viktor's reaction and expression.

Honestly, it's all the fault of these idle elves. Why don't they just sleep soundly in their treehouse instead of running out to watch?

Why can't she find a job? Wouldn't it be better to be as hardworking as her?

Well, you can't really blame all the elves.

After all, even humans struggle to find work in today's society.

Not to mention these carefree elves who lack work experience.

Moreover, there are many elves living in the Elf Forest.

Along the way that Kokot and Victor walked, elves could be seen emerging from almost every corner.

Who knows, if you walk a little further and step on the bulging grass, you might even step on an elf sleeping soundly, covered by leaves.

This also marks the tremendous changes in the Elf Forest from then to now.

Since Victor appeared and transformed the Tree of Adrien ten years ago.

Each spirit can accumulate natural energy and, combined with the [Moon Spring], give birth to its own little spirit at the Divine Tree.

The elves' surnames are no longer solely bestowed by the divine tree, but are determined by their respective lineages.

Every elf hopes that their surname can be passed down from generation to generation.

At least their names will remain in the world after they return to the earth.

Therefore, elves who are unwilling to reproduce are a minority.

After all, elves don't have to bear the pressure of raising children.

Even without working, they can live well on the dew and wild fruits in the forest.

Elves are products of nature, and newborn elves will also enjoy nature's protection and nurturing.

Of course, Kokot herself has never had children, so she is still the only elf with the surname Ad.

As for humans... Kokot has lived in the Empire for so long that he knows some things about it.

Due to the prevailing trend, the empire's population growth over the past decade has led to a severe shortage of jobs.

Even the once prestigious profession of mage, which was known as "employment upon graduation," has become rampant due to a surge in the number of people taking the profession.

This resulted in many people in the empire's major cities being unable to find work and barely making ends meet by accepting simple commissions.

Therefore, in the absence of stability, fewer humans are willing to reproduce.

But now, with the friendly exchanges between the elves and the empire, a large number of elves have poured into the empire.

More and more humans and elves are openly dating.

Although most elves remain rational and know that the lifespan difference between humans and elves is enormous,

After all, once humans die, elves can live for hundreds of years without any problem.

Furthermore, whether elves and humans can reproduce together remains a mystery.

Thinking of this, Cocotte's cheeks flushed slightly.

I don't know! I haven't tried it, so I have absolutely no idea.

Victor had no idea what Kokot was really thinking.

At that moment, he was also observing the Elf Forest and the elves around it.

After Viktor burned down the Tree of Adriatic, he received an achievement that was not yet unlocked.

Its name is—【Elf Liberator】.

Initially, Viktor believed that to unlock this achievement, all the elves' minds must be completely freed.

This freed them from the class system of the Tree of Ader.

Now, ten years have passed, and the minds of these elves should have been largely liberated.

The distribution of elves is no longer limited to the Elf Forest.

The elves connected to the Clevinar family have been deeply influenced by human society, culture, and thought.

With the blessings of nature, they now appear more free.

It's no exaggeration to say that they are natural darlings.

However, frustratingly,

Viktor walked across the grass, noticing the spying glances directed at him from all around.

He could sense the happiness of these elves.

Even when they encountered the Elf Queen and him, they did not show excessive fear.

This is normal, though, as the current Elf Forest emphasizes equality for all.

Moreover, Victor personally believes that the problem shouldn't lie with these elves.

So why exactly?
