Chapter 9: This was a huge blunder!

"You think recruiting followers is just a matter of words?"

"The believer must be sincere for it to be effective."

As Viktor listened to Vega's story, he tapped the table and watched the morning sunlight fall on the books. Viktor chuckled softly from his study.

"Isn't it just sincerity? There's no fear of not being able to fool them."

Vega squinted and made a whimpering sound, as if expressing its displeasure to Victor.

"Perhaps you are even more insidious than the previous Viktor."

"You flatter me."

Viktor didn't say anything more, and just continued reading his speech.

He always felt that this stinky bird had gradually forgotten his mission of reviving the evil god ever since it became bound to him.

Thinking this, Viktor glanced at Vega.

At this moment, the crow was standing on the desk, nodding somewhat drowsily.

Vega has always been eating during the day and sleeping at night, and hasn't exercised much.

It looks exactly like a pendant.

In just a few days, Vega had already gained a lot of weight. When it stood on Viktor's shoulder, Viktor felt that his shoulder was much heavier.

However, since the other party wasn't in a hurry, he didn't need to pay too much attention.

So he spent a quiet morning in his study looking at his speech and Erica's homework.

...

By noon, Victor had already graded Erica's homework. As for today's lesson content, thanks to Heni's diligent preparation, he quickly memorized the key points.

When Victor came out of the study, he saw Henny, the teaching assistant, rubbing her eyes as she came out.

"Awake? Get ready, we should set off."

Victor casually reminded Henney, who, like a startled fawn, immediately sobered up and quickly agreed:

"No problem, Professor, I'm ready."

Victor nodded and then instructed the servants to prepare a carriage for the Royal Magic Academy.

He invited Hene to get into the carriage with him, but Hene was extremely nervous and could only obediently sit inside.

As a result, the two sat facing each other. Henney kept her head down the whole time, not daring to look up even once, and could only steal glances at Victor.

Hene felt her heart was about to jump out of her chest, pounding loudly.

My heart was already churning like a volcano, and I frantically thought: 'I'm actually sitting in a carriage with this genius professor, Mr. Victor?!'

'Oh my god!'

Hene felt very hot and realized that she was sweating on her forehead, making her even more restless while sitting.

Viktor noticed that she seemed very reserved and wanted to say something.

But speaking rashly might make her even more nervous.

In that case, it's better to let her overthink things on her own.

The more nervous she became, the more likely she was to have wild thoughts, and then she realized that she had actually slept in the house of this infamous nobleman that morning.

Viktor found it somewhat amusing to see the shock in her wide eyes.

He just kept looking at Henny, who was looking down at her shoes, and the two of them remained in that position.

They didn't exchange a single word the entire way, quietly waiting for the carriage to reach its destination.

...

As the carriage gradually came to a stop, Victor spoke first:

"arrive."

After hearing Victor speak, Henney slowly raised her head, and the expression on her face immediately relaxed a lot.

"We've finally arrived."

She breathed a long sigh of relief, never expecting the journey to be so long.

After getting off the bus, Henney walked next to Victor.

Seeing that he was about to go to his office, Henney mustered up her courage and said to Victor, "Professor Victor, the dean said you should visit him when you arrive at the college."

Viktor nodded, then walked straight toward the dean's office.

Henney, like a timid little deer, followed behind Victor.

Bang! Bang!

After being teleported through the mage tower, Victor knocked on the door of the headmaster's office.

"Please come in."

After obtaining the dean's permission, he entered with his teaching assistant.

Standing before the dean, Viktor went straight to the point:

"Dean, I heard you were looking for me."

The abbot was an elderly, fat man, covered in a pile of magical implements. He looked just like a traditional sorcerer.

At the same time, he is also the strongest person in this academy, a fourth-tier mage.

He is known in the world as a 'Holy Master'.

Like a legend.

He had already reached this level twenty years ago.

Upon seeing Viktor, he pushed aside his water glass, capped his pen, and gently placed the pen on the book.

It seemed that his body had reached its limit due to old age, and he felt tired even with the slightest movement.

Letting out a breath, the dean leaned back in his chair and said slowly, "Professor Victor, I heard about what happened in class yesterday."

Viktor frowned. He hadn't expected that Erica's harassment of him would reach the principal's ears.

“You did a very good job,” the dean smiled at him, then continued, “but… wasn’t that a bit too strict?”

"If this goes on for too long, it might cause dissatisfaction among the students."

Upon hearing the dean say that he was too strict, Viktor shook his head and replied:

“If we don’t do this, they won’t understand the importance of respecting teachers.”

Viktor's tone was calm; he didn't think there was anything wrong with how he handled the situation.

Besides, he is Viktor, and Viktor is a man who holds grudges.

Fortunately, the dean quickly agreed with his point of view, nodding and saying, "Hmm... respecting teachers and valuing the way... a good point. No wonder you are called a genius mage."
