Chapter 927 Did you ever love me at all???

"Um……"

In the boundless darkness, Gwen frowned slightly and slowly opened her eyes.

My vision was blurred and dim, and my body felt especially heavy.

She struggled to sit up, gathered her thoughts, and then slowly turned her head to look around.

In this environment filled with darkness and gloom, besides the barren, thick earth, there is only an empty and ethereal sky.

Countless rock fragments floated in mid-air, while seemingly endless ravines were cracked in the earth.

The remaining soil was also lifeless, without a single trace of plant life.

Moreover, large areas of space cracked open with countless fine, pale lines, covering the entire earth.

This scene left Gwen feeling deeply confused.

But soon, a flash of memory swept through her mind, and her memories were quickly awakened by the unknown.

She remembered.

When the evil god launched a devastating attack on the world, she was magically imprisoned in place by the archmage.

Confined and bound, Gwen focused all her attention on resisting the archmage's magic.

They were forced to endure the corrosive effects of that devastating white light.

With that thought, Gwen used her arms to support herself and struggled to her feet.

There was no one to be seen on this land, as if all the previous battles had been completely over.

She didn't wake up again until much later.

Now, Gwen could feel a power surging continuously within her.

This is the power left behind by the 'Goddess of Justice'.

This force left Gwen feeling bewildered.

She remembered that Victor's father, Tisnato, had once asked her a question:

What gives you the right to make a choice for Viktor?

And her answer was:

'I am Viktor's wife.'

This statement defined her stance.

This determined whether she lived for justice or fought for Viktor.

At this point, the thoughts belonging to the 'Goddess of Justice' were gradually replaced by the personality of 'Gwen,' and her true self was restored.

But the problem is...

Is she now Gwen, the goddess of justice who understood Gwen's thoughts and imitated her?

Or did Gwen's ideology completely replace the personality of the goddess of justice?

This is precisely the root of her deep sense of confusion.

But now, thinking about these things no longer seems important.

She didn't dwell on it too much; she simply looked up at the endless darkness.

The next second, her wings suddenly unfurled, each feather trembling slightly as she prepared to unleash her power.

call--

With a sudden flap of her wings, a counter-current of wind propelled Gwen's body into the air.

The silver-white armor drew a streak of light in mid-air, and the pure white wings on its back fluttered gently.

High in the sky, Gwen looked down and gazed at the earth in all directions.

The scene before me was one of desolation and ruin, without exception.

Only in distant places do waves of sand and dust roll in.

Even through the thin mist of flying sand, Gwen could still make out the jagged, winding cracks.

Clearly, under that terrifying white light, all life on the ground seemed to have been violently wiped out.

This scene left Gwen stunned in mid-air, making her even more confused.

There was even a sudden pang of self-blame.

"……It was my fault."

She was talking to herself.

Despite possessing enough power to stop all these disasters, they could only watch helplessly as the world marched toward destruction, doing nothing.

Intense self-blame and guilt spread rapidly in her heart like wildly growing thorns, imprisoning her in an invisible iron cage.

Gwen's heart pounded. She gritted her teeth, clenched her fists, and silently berated herself for her incompetence.

In the end, she did indeed side with Victor.

But that's based on the premise that Viktor actually did nothing.

However, because she failed to act in time, the world still headed for destruction.

Does pursuing justice necessarily require her to abandon the one she loves?

Is this balance really so difficult to achieve?

Her eyes were filled with helplessness and confusion, and her clenched fists trembled slightly.

The more she thought about it, the more powerless she felt, and the more grief filled her heart.

But soon, her gaze became firm again.

Who is to blame?

A completely new question arose in her mind.

"……crow."

It was that evil god, the one she knew, the raven that had always been with Victor.

Yes, all evil originated from that crow.

If she had dealt with the crow sooner, the world wouldn't have faced destruction.

Realizing this, Gwen felt even more resentful of her own actions.

But one problem remains.

Now, what's the point of thinking about these things?

The evil god has destroyed all life on the earth.

So Gwen could only helplessly loosen her clenched fist.

But at this moment,

Gaa—

A hoarse caw suddenly came from the horizon.

Upon hearing the sound, Gwen abruptly raised her head and looked in the direction of the sound.

It was a jet-black crow.

It drifted in the sky, and seemingly noticing Gwen's gaze, it turned its head to look over.

The iconic single eye on her forehead came into Gwen's view.

She was slightly taken aback, then saw the crow reveal a strange smile.

Its small head swayed gently, then it quickly flapped its wings and disappeared like a shadow.
