Watching several of his old friends, the councilors, ascend into the air one by one.
They watched as light enveloped them, and their bodies underwent varying degrees of change.
Ryan Kent looked completely bewildered and confused.
He waited there for so long, only to be told by the Grand Mage, "The position is gone, so the position of the God of Fire will not be reserved for you."
Then he won't be able to become a god!?
Ryan Kent stared longingly at the sky.
Looking at the archmage with his smiling face, who was also irritating to him, Duo felt a buzzing in his head.
No, what the hell is going on?
Although Ryan Kent wasn't particularly interested in becoming a god, he figured he might as well take the opportunity.
But now, the Archmage suddenly told him that a divine position was missing, which left Ryan Kent feeling empty inside.
But then,
"Haha! Ryan, you're not going to become a god this time."
A cheerful laugh, tinged with a hint of mockery and amusement, rang out beside him.
This was yet another heavy blow to Ryan Kent.
He didn't even need to turn around to know who was speaking.
Sure enough, Haim Horn walked up to him and patted him hard on the shoulder, causing him to sway slightly.
Ryan Kent became even more silent.
Looking at his old friend, who seemed somewhat helpless, disappointed, and a little embarrassed, Haim Horn couldn't help but offer words of comfort:
"What's wrong, Ryan? Isn't this a good thing?"
"At least I won't forget your name."
Sigh, that's true.
After receiving a few words of comfort, although it was still hard to accept, at least I felt a little better.
"I'm just a little disappointed. I wanted to study the secrets of godhood by becoming a god."
After saying that, Ryan Kent looked up at the sky with a touch of melancholy and sighed deeply.
His gaze passed over the Grand Master, extending into the faint darkness high in the sky.
Ryan Kent is a master of research.
He created countless inventions that were hailed as miracles, and was most passionate about exploring new things and uncovering unknown truths.
Previously, after Ryan Kent learned that Victor had created 'super-level magic',
He was constantly thinking about when he could observe the 'super-level magic' created by this magical genius up close.
This is someone who was truly willing to risk his life for research.
"What's there to regret? You might not even be yourself after you become a god."
Heim Horn continued to patiently persuade Ryan Kent.
Although he wasn't sure if Thor, after becoming a god, still remembered them, his former councilors.
However, Haim Horn didn't care about these things and simply said a few more words to make Ryan feel that becoming a god was even more dangerous.
"Think about it, if you really received God's name, would you still be yourself?"
"You might lose yourself and become an embodiment of that name alone."
"If the price of becoming a god is losing oneself, then such a divine position is better left undone."
Heim Horn's last words were spoken with particular seriousness, suggesting that he was not merely making empty promises.
Because that's what he thinks.
If the price of becoming a god is for people to forget him as the illusionary wizard, to forget his real name, 'Heim Horn',
So what is the significance of such a divine position?
Is he a god, or Heim Horn?
These words struck a chord with Ryan Kent.
He pondered for a moment and realized that Haim Horn's words made sense, which greatly diminished his original desire to become a god.
And most importantly, even if he wanted to become a god, it seems he has no chance.
It's all predestined; there's no need to force it.
After thinking it through, Ryan Kent shook his head and sighed.
But he was really confused as to why he wasn't given the position of the god of fire.
Did Victor kill a total of eight gods?
Of these eight divine positions, the Grand Mage occupies one, and the Shiba Inu occupies one.
There are six left in total, and the others will receive six divine positions...
Well?
It seems there's really not enough left to go around?
Ryan paused for a moment, then considered the situation more carefully.
In other words, the archmage didn't refuse to grant him the divine position, but rather because it had already been taken by someone else.
Is this what led to the insufficient allocation of divine positions?
Haha, it seems the Grand Master did consider him after all!
But this is still somewhat regrettable.
After Ryan clarified everything, he no longer had many objections to the allocation of these divine positions.
I even felt a sense of relief.
Moreover, he was only interested in that blacksmith Vulcan, after all, he was also a dwarf blacksmith.
Now that he's lost his position as the God of Fire, he's lost interest.
At the same time, Haim Horn's voice rang out again behind him:
“Ryan, look at the sky.”
"Hmm? What's wrong?"
Upon hearing his old friend's reminder, Ryan Kent shifted his gaze and focused his attention on the six dazzling beams of light.
At this moment, the six councilors who had ascended into the sky were bathed in dazzling light.
However, Ryan Kent knew that Haim Horn did not want him to witness his old friends receiving divine power.
Instead...
Do you remember their names?
A heavy voice came from beside Ryan; it was Haim Horn's voice.
He was inevitably depressed as he witnessed these former politicians become gods.
It seems that many of his former friends have now sunk into the abyss of memory.
