Vines snaked from Viktor’s body toward the ground, twisting and turning, and wooden figures emerged from within them.
They seemed to have life, with green light shining from each of their heads.
It seemed to have developed sentience and began to act on its own.
Just as the students' magic was about to be completed, countless tentacles suddenly appeared on the feet of the wooden figures, binding their bodies and forcing them to stop their magic.
A girl was trapped on the arm of a wooden dummy, struggling desperately. But her magic was as fragile as a bean sprout in the dummy's eyes, unable to even break through its defenses.
The students were startled and scattered to avoid the charging wooden figures, causing a brief period of chaos.
Viktor stood still, his voice indifferent:
"ugly."
"If it were a real battle, do you think you could still stand safely in the same spot?"
Hearing Viktor's sarcasm, the students could only purse their lips, feeling somewhat ashamed and indignant.
Viktor clapped his hands, and the wooden figure wrapped in vines lowered the girl down.
Then, they all retreated to Victor's side, motionless, like loyal guards.
"Let's prepare again and attack together."
His gaze swept over the students, his tone cold and indifferent, making it impossible to discern any contempt in his voice.
The students exchanged glances, but ultimately walked to the front.
This time, Victor did not interfere, but simply watched calmly as they began chanting the spell again.
whoosh whoosh—
In an instant, all sorts of elemental magic, as if transformed into a rainbow, surged toward Victor.
Victor didn't even look, his trench coat swaying slowly.
It was as if a chasm had suddenly fallen, blocking and isolating the assembled seven-colored red light.
They could only watch as the magical attack struck around Victor, radiating multicolored light.
Ultimately, it vanished completely.
Everything happened so suddenly.
The students felt their feet slip as dozens of vines wrapped around their ankles, throwing them off the ring.
As the group landed, a large 'D' appeared above the curtain of flames above Viktor's head.
"Next."
This time, all the students who were watching fell silent.
Throughout the morning, Viktor accepted challenges from an unknown number of students.
As a result, no one could make him move an inch.
This time, I thought we had a very good chance, but it turned out that teaming up was useless and we lost even more embarrassingly.
Some students couldn't help but turn their expectant gazes to Erica, who was also watching.
Last year's top freshman, and currently the youngest second-tier mage.
He is very likely to be the strongest student this year.
Perhaps, she has a chance to force Professor Victor to take a step forward.
"Miss Erica! Why don't you go up and give it a try!"
Someone suggested this to Erica.
Soon, more students around them began to chime in.
"Yes, yes! Miss Erica, your strength is evident to all!"
The students' expectant voices did not elicit any action from Erica.
She sat quietly below, seemingly oblivious to the students around her.
He simply asked indifferently:
"Why?"
One of the students spoke.
“If you step up, you’ll definitely be able to get Professor Victor to make a move…”
"Then all of you will be able to pass this final exam, right?"
Erica spoke their final words on their behalf.
They looked at each other, but all they heard was Erica give a faint hum.
"Are you trying to obtain achievements that don't belong to you through this vague and unrealistic hope?"
"Okay, I understand the professor's purpose in giving this test."
Many students were completely bewildered by Erica's words.
They just want to pass the final exam, what's wrong with that?
"Truly capable people never place their hopes on others."
"What does it have to do with me if you fail the test?"
"It's not like I can't get through it."
After saying this, Erica didn't even glance at the students. She stood up, head held high, as proud and elegant as a white swan with golden feathers, and walked through the crowd, leaving the Arcane Hall.
They watched Erica leave, as if suddenly realizing something.
Erica is not the only genius at the magic academy.
But why, until now, has no top student emerged to challenge Viktor?
Their gaze gradually fell upon the surrounding crowd.
Then they saw it.
Several students, each with a different temperament, crossed their arms and watched quietly from the arena.
Many of these people look very familiar; they are also geniuses from the academy.
In fact, these students were more senior than Erica, serving in the student council of the magic academy, and each of them was an exceptionally talented genius.
But none of these people showed up.
Compared to the other students, their focus did not seem to be on how to get Professor Victor to move an inch.
Instead, they focused on the students' comical actions on stage, as if they were watching some huge joke.
That look seemed to say:
'That's really interesting.'
A chill ran down their spines, and after Erica's words, the group finally realized what was going on.
