When the red countdown in the sky stopped at 95:00, the numbers ceased to move.
As the last clock ticked, the entire trial grounds were shrouded in thick smoke and fell into a deathly silence.
The souls on the high platform stood frozen in place, their mouths agape and their wide-open pupils seemingly about to pop out of their sockets.
The souls trembled, their faces filled with astonishment at the horrific explosion they had just witnessed.
Their eyes were fixed on the smoke-filled training ground ahead, and not a single soul dared to utter a sound.
Soon, in a deep silence, the surrounding smoke gradually dissipated, revealing the broken steel mesh.
The testing ground was riddled with holes, and the steel mesh was almost completely destroyed.
The few remaining larger mesh panels stood out starkly, covered with black, cracked marks from the explosion.
Looking around, the concentric circles of explosion marks resembled blooming roses, gradually extending to the edge of the entire site.
Where the steel mesh has disappeared, twisted gears and flickering hellfire are exposed.
On the shattered steel field once stood thousands of dead warriors.
But now, it has long since vanished without a trace.
However, even with such destruction, the hellfire beneath the cracks continued to erupt.
Within those flames, the entire steel land seemed to awaken, its shattered body writhing incessantly.
Like a consciously torn rag, it slowly repairs itself.
Soon, this shattered land will be completely restored.
This was also the first time they had ever seen a trial participant pass the trial in this way.
Their gazes were fixed on the center of the trial grounds, where a human girl stood proudly, full of confidence.
She showed no signs of fatigue, and her face even had a very calm and relaxed expression.
Her trench coat swayed in the air, and the surrounding flames seemed to consciously avoid her, tilting slightly.
All the departed souls who witnessed this scene couldn't help but swallow hard.
But the next second, the entire audience erupted in a thunderous cheer.
The trial grounds trembled violently amidst the deafening cheers.
Even the crimson countdown in mid-air seemed to be affected by the tremor and almost disappeared.
The loud cheers resounded throughout the entire underworld, and every corner except the River Styx trembled violently from the sound.
The cheers of the dead came one after another, their eyes gleaming with excitement and anticipation.
The heightened emotions even surpassed the flickering hellfire around them, reigniting the atmosphere of the entire trial.
Hades, sitting in the center of the audience, narrowed his eyes slightly and slowly sat up straight.
"This kid..."
Looking at the dog thief in front of him, Hades's contemptuous gaze vanished, replaced by a sharp look as he carefully examined the man.
He once led 100,000 humans to Hell to participate in this trial, and each person's initial trial was this trial of time.
However, those 100,000 people were among the best of humanity.
Any one of these people could easily crush this 'human girl' in front of them.
However, no one could pass the trial as easily as 'she'.
That's right, this seemingly simple 100-minute perseverance is actually a huge challenge.
After all, no one could withstand an endless ocean of dead souls.
Even if someone can last for 100 minutes, they will be exhausted and unable to continue the trial.
Hades remembered that there was once a human hero who had successfully passed the trial.
He was enormous and incredibly powerful; every time he swung his weapon, he could take away a large number of souls.
Even so, it took him thirty minutes to eliminate all the spirits.
But what about Viktor?
Hades looked up—
Five minutes.
This is what he was saying to himself.
Because he only needs five minutes.
"I told you he would pass."
Upon seeing this scene, Persephone revealed a playful expression.
It's as if she won the bet and then wanted to show off a little to Hades.
But Hades, seeing Persephone's smug look, felt deeply resentful.
She's clearly his wife, so why is she so expectant of another scoundrel?
Even though he secretly approved of the dog thief, Persephone's praise of him still made Hades feel uneasy.
So he crossed his arms and snorted coldly.
"Hmph, I can do it just as well, and even faster and better."
Hades sulked, somewhat resentful, his heavy breathing so strong that it even made his beard flutter.
Persephone turned his head, glanced at Hades, and spoke in a tone as if coaxing a child:
"Yes, yes, I know you're better than others."
"After all, even the content of the trial was personally selected by you, Lord Hades."
Hades snorted coldly after hearing this, his frustration not diminished in the slightest.
On the contrary, he felt even more convinced because he thought his wife's words weren't sincere enough.
However, although he didn't mean it, he had to admit that the dog thief's actions had indeed shocked him.
He still can't figure out how this guy did it.
How did that kid manage to cleverly attach a spark capable of triggering an explosion to every undead warrior who approached 'her'?
They nimbly ran around the field, cleverly allowing the warriors carrying the torches to blend into the group.
