Chapter 1 The Mercy of Dizziness

Sunlight streamed into the basement through the window, hitting the oscillating fan covered in black grease. The buttons for the first, second, and third speed settings were nowhere to be found, so Jiang Hao had to use a key to insert it into the hole for the third speed setting.

The wind speed had increased significantly, so Jiang Hao sat down opposite him, removed the book from the large bowl, and the aroma of instant noodles wafted over.

After eating and drinking his fill, Jiang Hao picked up a large cardboard box from beside his feet and placed it on the folding table.

Using a key, Jiang Hao cut through the yellow tape along the seam of the box and pulled out a shiny black helmet with both hands—the "Lingxu" game terminal.

Lingxu, the most technologically advanced game in the world, is officially endorsed by the Panda Kingdom. Before its launch, its advertisements were already everywhere. To date, in the Panda Kingdom alone, it has sold three million copies across all types of game consoles, breaking the historical record of the game sales chart.

It was already 7:30 in the morning, half an hour before the server opened. Jiang Hao raised his helmet high above his head.

The white bandage wrapped around his head seemed to be in the way, so Jiang Hao straightened his head and tried to put on the helmet. He accidentally touched the wound on the back of his head, and Jiang Hao grimaced in pain.

That damn scarred guy, he hasn't even paid his medical bills yet!

Jiang Hao cursed under his breath.

It turned out that a day earlier, Su Xiangyang, nicknamed "Scarface," had gathered a group of people, intending to fight another group. Only after repeatedly assuring Jiang Hao that he wouldn't actually fight and promising him a helmet terminal for the Lingxu game did Jiang Hao reluctantly agree.

That night, Jiang Hao was standing far behind, watching the two leaders arguing, when suddenly a commotion broke out in Scarface's group. Before Jiang Hao could react, someone threw a brick at him from behind.

Jiang Hao fainted on the spot and didn't return to his rented room until late at night, still clutching his helmet.

What game can sell for 2000 yuan on a single device?

After putting on the helmet, a magnificent scene unfolded before my eyes. In the distance, countless terrifying monsters swarmed, some running on the ground, others flying in the sky, all rapidly approaching.

Suddenly, a black Western dragon, spewing flames, flew straight at Jiang Hao. Jiang Hao immediately looked up and dodged. The scene shifted, and he saw flames spraying onto the humans on the ground, instantly burning dozens of people running towards the ground to ashes.

As the western dragon swooped down, its massive wings flapped twice, instantly elevating its enormous body dozens of meters in height before it landed firmly atop an ancient, thick city wall. Two sturdy castles, each ten meters high, were grasped in the dragon's claws, like two chicks held in a hand. The dragon's enormous head surveyed the city below, like a demon lord surveying his territory.

The scene shifts again, revealing a magnificent palace where a person clad in heavy white armor clenches their fist at their chest, pledging allegiance to the king seated on a golden throne. This is a warrior from the game.

Someone in the jungle, with a bow drawn, just managed to shoot a black bear that was about to pounce. This is the archer in the game.

In a deserted village, a skeleton had just crawled out of the ruins when a flash of white light appeared on its back. Its head flew far away, and as it hit the ground, the soul fire within its head had already been extinguished. This is the elusive assassin in the game, one of its most captivating classes.

A figure clad in a noble blue robe stood in a winding mountain cave, facing countless ghouls. With hands raised, he unleashed a powerful blizzard spell, and the ghouls fell one after another, dropping loot everywhere. This was a mage in the game.

At the crossroads, a man in black robes looked at the intricate symbols he had carved on the ground and nodded in satisfaction. The symbols on the ground lit up, and a ferocious beast emerged from the light, happily walking up to the man in black robes and affectionately nuzzling his sleeve. This was the mysterious summoner from the game.

Inside the temple, a woman in white robes carefully examines the white light on her index finger. The light illuminates her face, making her more holy than an angel. This is a priest in the game, dedicated to elevating their spirit and steadfastly healing their companions. They are also an indispensable class in any party.

These are the six classes in the game Lingxu: Warrior, Archer, Assassin, Mage, Summoner, and Priest.

Jiang Hao was so shocked by the immersive scene that his scalp tingled.

This isn't a game.

This must have actually happened, right?

Jiang Hao was so shocked by his own conjecture that the hairs on his body stood on end.

The scene shifts, and Jiang Hao finds himself in an ancient hall.

The main hall was resplendent with gold.

As a layer of light slowly moved from head to toe, an electronic voice sounded.

"3D scanning in progress..."

"Bio-blood sample collection in progress..."

Jiang Hao suddenly felt a sharp pain on his scalp.

"What the hell? A gaming helmet that pricks people?"

After a while, the pain subsided, and the electronic voice started playing again.

"Biological DNA information has been stored..."

"Biological characteristic information has been stored..."

"Information stored in the biological brain..."

"Storage complete, identity information binding complete."

"Please confirm the following identity information."

Name: Jiang Hao

Planet: Earth

Nationality: Panda Country

Age: 19

ID number: 42********9587

Current address: Room 3, basement, next to Xinxin Supermarket, No. 34, Hehua Street, Dadao District, Panda Kingdom Magic City.

Your most frequently used bank card number has been linked for convenient in-game cash transactions.

......

Is this even a game?

Jiang Hao stared at the hall as if he'd seen a ghost. "What the hell?! I just had a blood test and a scan, and they found my household registration information and linked it to my bank card without even needing my personal verification?"

Is this something a game can do?

Suddenly, a screen of light appeared in front of me, displaying the icons of the six major classes in the game.

"Please select your profession, or you can choose to have it randomly generated and let the system generate the most suitable profession for you."

"random."

As soon as he finished speaking, a millstone-sized turntable appeared in front of Jiang Hao.

With just a quick glance, Jiang Hao discovered that it contained information about the game's classes, and strangely, there seemed to be more than six classes.

Before Jiang Hao could take a closer look, the turntable began to spin rapidly. After a short while, a burst of golden light erupted from the center of the turntable, filling the entire hall. Then, the light transformed into golden stars, which twinkled continuously in the hall.

"Congratulations on drawing the rare Summoner class: Necromancer."

"Please name the game character as soon as possible."

Jiang Hao was incredibly excited. He had expected to be a Summoner, a Mage, or even a Priest. He hadn't expected the system to be so considerate, directly giving him the Necromancer class. Although he didn't know what "Summoner" meant, he understood what a rare class represented.

The rarer it is, the more awesome it is!

Lord of Hell

Jiang Hao said without hesitation.

"Player naming successful. Based on your physique and personality, the system will draw an innate talent for you, which is bound to your soul..."

The system's voice grew fainter and fainter, and the world before him grew darker and darker. Jiang Hao's consciousness began to drift, and the system's voice gradually became barely audible.

When the world regained its light, Jiang Hao saw that there were people everywhere in front of him!

"Welcome to Lingxu. Your talent [Stunning Mercy] is now bound to your character. You can view the details in the Talents section of your personal panel. This is the No. 006 Newbie Village in the Shanghai Division of the Panda Region. Welcome! A newbie gift pack has been prepared for you and placed in your inventory. Have a pleasant journey."

"Open the character's profile..."

The command had only been given halfway when Jiang Hao was suddenly shoved from behind. He stumbled, his right leg buckled, and he fell to his knees. His head went limp, as if he had bumped into someone.

Feeling a warm touch on his head, Jiang Hao unconsciously arched forward.

It's quite soft!

"Hey, you pervert!"

Jiang Hao looked up and saw a beautiful, mature woman whose face was flushed red as she turned her head to glare at him angrily.

A dozen or so burly men beside him were staring intently at him, each one rubbing their hands together, clearly in cahoots with the pretty girl.

Jiang Hao looked in front of him and realized that his face was standing right next to the girl's butt.

The girl sensed something and quickly took two steps forward, slightly turning her body to avoid his gaze.

A dozen burly men took a step forward, surrounding Jiang Hao in the very center.

"You little brat, you're asking for it!"

One of the burly men had already raised his fist.

In a moment of quick thinking, Jiang Hao grinned to the right, made a six with his left hand and a seven with his right, and slowly stood up, his left leg trembling as he supported his lame right leg.

"Aba aba..."
