The sound of maggots gnawing on the Lingyang Tree came from Jiang Hao's left front. Jiang Hao looked over and saw another maggot gnawing on the trunk of a giant Lingyang Tree that was leaning on the ice.
The maggot was quite close, and because of the angle, Jiang Hao could see a peculiar beige pattern on the front of its head.
Although this giant maggot looked cute, Jiang Hao couldn't bring himself to like it. Its mouth could easily gnaw through the hard spirit yang wood! If it crawled onto him, not only would it devour his flesh, but it could probably even eat his bones in a matter of moments.
This giant maggot didn't seem to be in a hurry. It ate rather slowly, unlike the previous one that wolfed it down. It seemed to be savoring a sweet pastry. It would take a bite of the bark of the Lingyang tree, shake its head a few times, and then take another bite.
But the tree branches on the opposite bank clearly didn't give it much time. A dozen thick, white tree branches lashed out, striking the giant maggot with a sharp crack. As the branches of the Lingyang Giant Tree lashed off the ice, Jiang Hao sighed, thinking, "I'm doomed!"

Jiang Hao looked at the giant maggot again. It was swollen all over, its large head raised, staring intently at the tentacle of the branch that had knocked its droppings away. The giant maggot began to tremble slightly, then a thin, white shield, like Zhu Lin's magical shield, enveloped its entire body. Without any visible movement, its body vanished.
Suddenly, a branch tentacle several meters long fell from the sky. Jiang Hao looked closely and saw that the branch tentacle that had been used to whip the giant maggot was now broken off. The giant maggot, without any apparent effort or movement, moved as if by teleportation, leaving no afterimage, flashing back and forth among the hundreds of branch tentacles, gnawing off pieces of them.
In an instant, hundreds of tree branches fell like rain.

He heard the rustling of falling leaves behind him. Turning his head, Jiang Hao discovered that the big-headed maggot had appeared behind him at some point, lying next to the poop and continuing to poop.
Small, white, soft things emerged from under its tail, and then Jiang Hao saw a scene that disgusted him.
The giant maggot actually moved its seven or eight droppings together, then pressed its entire head onto them, rolling back and forth as if kneading dough. After a moment, a large oval-shaped dropping, about the size of a marble, had taken shape.
Jiang Hao felt that the poop looked familiar, so he casually took out a gold-grade energy crystal from his backpack. After comparing the two, Jiang Hao was completely dumbfounded!

The sound of the giant maggot gnawing on the Lingyang tree came again from Jiang Hao's right front, this time choosing a new Lingyang tree. On the opposite bank, not a single branch or tentacle dared to extend.
Jiang Hao knew that this might be his only chance to make a move.
Without hesitation, Jiang Hao moved his body quickly and brought his staff down towards the big-headed maggot!
