The so-called "tolerance"

The so-called "tolerance"

The next day, although it was not yet the time they had agreed on, Xiao Ze still went to the cabin. As expected, Su Qingjun was meditating in the cabin.

Seeing Xiao Ze suddenly appear here, he couldn't hide the surprise on his face.

"Junior Brother Xiao, why are you here?"

"This is my home, why can't I come?" Xiao Ze asked with a smile.

"No, that's not what I meant..." The usually calm eldest brother became flustered by this small question.

Xiao Ze watched him anxiously trying to find a reasonable explanation for himself. The smile on his face disappeared and he became serious: "Brother, have you been waiting here for me?"

"Didn't we agree to meet in three days?"

Su Qingjun was at a loss, with unspeakable panic filling her heart.

"Brother, do you..." Do you like me? But Xiao Ze did not ask this question out loud. In his heart, he always felt inferior. He never believed that someone would love him wholeheartedly. He was suspicious and never felt that pure love existed in this world.

"Don't you like being alone?" Xiao Ze asked, changing the subject.

"Well, I don't like it." Xiao Ze did not ask the question he wanted to ask. Su Qingjun breathed a sigh of relief, but there was an indescribable disappointment lingering in his heart.

"I go to the library every afternoon. Brother, do you want to join me?" Xiao Ze asked, hiding his inferiority complex.

"Good!" A smile appeared on his face. Su Qingjun was very happy because of this unexpected surprise.

The days were plain but fulfilling. Xiao Ze practiced sword in Qiufeng Mountain in the morning and received guidance from his senior brothers and sisters. In the afternoon, he went to the library to read with Su Qingjun.

The books they needed to read were not on the same floor, so Su Qingjun would always borrow the books before finding Xiao Ze. The two would sit together, and although they were silent, it was peaceful and comfortable.

Fortunately, the custodian of the library was only guarding the top floor, otherwise Su Qingjun’s unusual behavior would have reached the ears of the headmaster long ago.

The library was sparsely populated, with most disciples borrowing books to study attentively. Xiao Ze, who disliked frequenting others, had always found the books in places that were difficult to spot. For Su Qingjun, this was a rare moment of quiet time.

The sun was setting and the room was gradually getting darker. Xiao Zecai suddenly realized that it was getting late and looked up from his book.

Looking out the window, he was surprised to find that it was time to go back. He turned to Su Qingjun, who was sitting on his left, and said, "Brother, I have to go back first."

"Okay." Hearing Xiao Ze's voice, Su Qingjun was awakened from his deep thoughts. He was so happy now, so happy that he thought it was a dream.

Looking at Xiao Ze's departing back, he felt that it would not be bad if it always stayed like this.

That day, Xiao Ze went down the mountain and brought back some new sweets. He decided not to go to the library, so he returned to the cabin and let Su Qingjun try them to see if he liked them.

On the way back to the cabin, he casually mentioned the title of a book he saw in a formation book, and said that he had searched all the libraries he could reach but couldn't find it.

Unexpectedly, Su Qingjun knew about this book, but it was on the upper floors of the library, and Xiao Ze was not qualified to enter at the moment. So the two of them decided to go to the library to borrow the book.

When they arrived at the library, Xiao Ze was waiting on the fourth floor, while Su Qingjun went to the fifth floor to borrow books.

Not long after Su Qingjun left, Xiao Ze heard chaotic footsteps behind him. However, he only knew a few people in the sect and was not in the mood to greet people he didn't know, so he didn't even turn his head.

He ignores people, yet people still come to provoke him.

"Oh, isn't this Xiao Ze!" Xiao Ze immediately recognized that this was Tu Sihua from the sarcastic tone and familiar voice.

For the past two years, Tu Sihua had been like a cursed person, always looking for trouble with Xiao Ze. Even Xiao Ze's unusual routines had been caught by him several times. Either he was met with sarcastic taunts, or Tu Sihua provoked him into a private brawl and sent the two of them to the Discipline Hall for punishment.

Although it was Tu Sihua who was beaten every time, it was also very annoying to be troubled all the time.

But Xiao Ze never understood why Tu Sihua kept pestering him. He and he had no contact at all. Even Jiang Xi, whom he loved and cared about, he hadn't seen for a long time.

Xiao Ze has always been reluctant to have too much contact with people he is not familiar with, but there is no reason for him to remain silent after being provoked.

He turned and glanced at the group. A quick glance revealed about seven or eight of them. In the middle was Jiang Xi, whom he hadn't seen in a while. Tu Sihua stood closest to him. The others, like lower-ranking sword-wielding guards, clustered around them.

This scene is really funny.

"What are you crazy about?" Xiao Ze had no intention of speaking nicely to this group of people.

Tu Sihua obviously didn't expect Xiao Ze to be so ruthless and start scolding him. The expression on his face immediately changed: "You scold me?"

"What's wrong? You can't beat me, and you can't scold me, yet you come to me every day to make a name for yourself," Xiao Ze laughed, his mockery obvious: "Tu Sihua, do you like being beaten and scolded?"

Xiao Ze showed a look of disgust on his face: "I didn't expect that you would have such a hobby?" Then he took two steps back, which was extremely sarcastic.

As expected, Tu Sihua's face turned red, but he still did not run away, perhaps because Jiang Xi was there.

"Xiao Ze! You are not a human! Do you know..."

In the middle of his words, Tu Sihua's sleeve was grabbed by Jiang Xi who was standing beside him and tugged: "Stop arguing." His tone revealed an undisguised grievance, which made people who didn't see the whole thing think that Tu Sihua and Jiang Xi were arguing because of him.

This expression made Xiao Ze more and more suspicious. He wondered if Jiang Xi had said something that caused Tu Sihua to be like a fighting cock, constantly looking for trouble with him.

"Hmph, today, for the sake of my junior brother, I won't bother with you. Just wait for me!" Jiang Xi's action gave Tu Sihua a way out, but he still wanted to regain his lost face, so he made a vicious threat.

"What are you waiting for?" A faint voice came from the side, and no matter how you listened to it, you felt that this person must be extremely unhappy right now.

Several people turned to look at that person.

Su Qingjun came down the stairs, her face as cold as ice, as if she could freeze someone to death.

"Senior Brother!" Jiang Xi smiled, looking more sincere than usual: "Why are you here? Master told me to ask you about some problems in my cultivation!" As he said this, he took two steps towards Su Qingjun, leaving Tu Sihua and his group behind.

"I'm very busy. Didn't Master already find Qingshan to guide you?"

"I did find Senior Brother Qingshan, but I would rather have you, Senior Brother, teach me." Jiang Xi had a harmless smile on his face. If he was smiling at the group of people behind him, they would definitely be bewitched, but he was facing Su Qingjun.

"Are you saying that Qingshan, a Jindan cultivator, can't teach you, a foundation-building cultivator?" Su Qingjun really couldn't understand why his master, who always valued the abilities of cultivators, chose to accept Jiang Xi as his disciple.

There were so many calm, steady, enterprising and talented new disciples, but he chose Jiang Xi, who was obviously not interested in cultivation.

Jiang Xi was obviously choked by Su Qingjun's straightforward question. The junior brother who was always good at dealing with people and loved by everyone was unable to utter a word at this moment.

Su Qingjun walked straight towards Tu Sihua: "When you said wait, what did you want Xiao Ze to wait for?"

The pressure from his superior that had been on him for a long time was released all at once, and Tu Sihua could no longer conceal his fear: "No, no..."

Tu Sihua had already started talking nonsense and didn't even know what he had answered.

"You have been imprisoned in the Discipline Hall no less than three times for causing trouble. If you don't want to continue practicing in Tianxuan Sect, you can just tell your master directly. Tianxuan Sect will not force you to stay." Su Qingjun's tone was not heavy, but it contained an unquestionable tone.

Tu Sihua's face turned completely pale this time, and his lips trembled: "No, Brother, I won't do it again, not again."

Su Qingjun didn't even look at him, turned around and left, leaving the group of people looking at each other in bewilderment, all feeling like they had survived a disaster.

Jiang Xi stamped his feet, a look of impatience on his face, not knowing who he was directed at, and left the library.

Xiao Ze was afraid that following Su Qingjun out would attract too much attention, so he waited in the library for a while before going out.

Afraid that Su Qingjun would get anxious waiting for him, he took a shortcut back.

From a distance, I saw two familiar figures pulling and tugging at each other. The taller one lowered his head and said something to the shorter one.

Xiao Ze quietly approached and listened to what they were plotting.

"I'm sorry, junior brother." Tu Sihua apologized.

"It's okay, Senior Brother Tu." Jiang Xi generously forgave him, even though it was Xiao Ze who was scolded.

Jiang Xi pursed her lips, tears welling up in her eyes, looking extremely pitiful. "I just didn't expect Senior Brother Xiao to be so heartless. We grew up together and have been together for so long, yet now he doesn't like me at all."

Tu Sihua revealed a distressed expression: "Junior brother, he is ungrateful. You are so good to him, but he is like this! Don't worry, I will definitely find a chance to vent your anger for you!"

"This isn't a good idea." Jiang Xi said, but he didn't say or do anything to stop her.

So that’s how it is!

His suspicions were confirmed, and Xiao Ze felt even more strongly that Jiang Xi was a man of deep scheming. He didn't like him, but instead of taking action himself, he used Tu Sihua's love for him to disgust him.

But how had he offended Jiang Xi, the always "tolerant and generous" protagonist? Was it simply because he refused to continue being his follower? It didn't seem that serious.

If he couldn't figure it out, he wouldn't think about it anymore, but he had to avenge this grudge. When he found the right opportunity, he would let Jiang Xi have a taste of being in trouble!
