Chapter 183 The Future Wife
In a short while, Dan Anwen pulled an adorable little tiger out of the claw machine.
The little boy stared intently at the man's movements. Seeing that he succeeded on the first try, the light in his eyes was almost uncontrollable, and his mouth instantly became sweet.
"Brother, you're amazing, so amazing!" The little boy tilted his head back, his praise seeming to come from the bottom of his heart.
Upon hearing the word "brother," Dan An felt happy and cheerful, and handed the little tiger in his hand to the little boy.
"Little friend, what's your name?" Gu Ji asked with a smile as he bent down.
The little boy patted the tiger's head and formally introduced himself, "My name is Qiqi, Qi from the prince's name, and I'm four years old this year."
"Little Qiqi, let me take you to find your mother." Gu Ji took the little boy's hand.
"Okay." The little boy readily agreed. He was originally on his way to find his lost mother, but he heard on the way that a pretty lady was giving away dolls, so he came to pick up the doll first.
Gu Ji turned to look at Dan Anwen, who was standing beside them with a smile, and said, "Uncle Dan, let's go."
"Okay." Dan Anwen skillfully took Gu Ji's other hand.
The three figures holding hands from behind have a family-like feel to them: a dignified and gentle father, a sweet and beautiful mother, and a lively and active child.
After the staff in the broadcasting room finished playing the missing person announcement, the group of people sat down and waited.
"Sister, will you be my future wife?" The little boy's sudden question stunned everyone present.
Dan Anwen's face darkened several shades instantly, and he tightened his grip on Gu Ji's hand.
"Why do you want your sister to be your wife?" Gu Ji chuckled and patted his head.
The little boy analyzed logically, "Because my sister helped me find my mother, that's like saving my life, so I should repay her with my body."
Gu Ji was both amused and exasperated. This was the kind of insight he had gained from watching countless TV dramas. It seemed he had watched a lot of idol dramas with his parents.
"But my sister already has a boyfriend, so she might not be able to be your future wife." Gu Ji pretended to be troubled, a sly glint in his eyes.
The man who had been silent all along finally couldn't hold back any longer and squeezed the girl's small hand with displeasure.
"So who's your boyfriend? I want to challenge him to a duel," the little boy said innocently, hands on his hips.
Gu Ji smiled and pinched his round little face. "He's the older brother next to me."
The little boy stared wide-eyed at Dan Anwen, whose face was already stiff, without showing any fear.
"Brother, would you be willing to give me your sister? I can give you all my toys." The little boy felt that he was not capable of taking on Dan Anwen one-on-one.
Dan An smiled without a smile playing on her lips, but her words disappointed the little boy: "No, my sister is my brother's future wife, I can't give her to you."
The calm tone showed no sign of backing down, which made the little boy's face scrunch up.
Seeing that his attempts to woo the man had failed, the little boy turned his attention back to the girl, intending to try and win her over because she was soft-hearted.
"Sister, I'm young and I'm good at taking care of people. Uncle is too old and it's not good. Besides, when I grow up, I'll definitely be taller and more handsome than Uncle." The little boy listed his own advantages and men's disadvantages with his limited knowledge.
Dan Anwen's dark eyes deepened, and his thin lips unconsciously pursed slightly, clearly provoked by his uncle's age.
When it comes to playing claw machines, he's like an older brother; when it comes to stealing a girlfriend, he's like an uncle. Kids these days are so fickle and hypocritical.
“Your brother is very caring, so your reason won’t convince me.” Gu Ji glanced at the man beside her with a smile, then said to the little boy.
Seeing that she was having fun, Dan An stopped stopping her from interacting with the little boy.
"But..." The little boy hesitated for a long time but couldn't come up with another reason.
Just as Gu Ji was about to end the dispute, the little boy's mother appeared.
"Qiqi, where did you run off to? Your mother is so worried!" A young woman rushed in, flustered.
The little boy patted the woman on the back like a sweet little boy, comforting her, "Mommy, don't worry, I'm fine. My sister brought me to find you."
After the two hugged for a while, the woman thanked Gu Ji and Dan Anwen and insisted on treating them to a meal.
"No need, no need, it's nothing." Gu Ji quickly waved her hand; she was already stuffed from eating dinner and couldn't eat anymore.
After much persuasion, the little boy's mother insisted on leaving her contact information so they could contact her if they ever needed anything in the future.
"Qiqi said goodbye to her older sister and brother."
"Goodbye, sister; goodbye, brother. Sister, if you've thought it through, you can call me, and I'll come and marry you." The little boy waved to the two of them.
Dan Anwen pulled Gu Ji into a tight circle, giving the little boy a defiant look, as if asserting her dominance.
"Why are you arguing with a child?" Gu Ji glanced at him with amusement, thinking that Uncle Dan was becoming more and more childish.
Dan Anwen looked down at Gu Ji for a while before saying quietly, "As expected, the little girl is too beautiful. Even a five-year-old would try to take you away from me."
Are you jealous?
"Yes, I'm jealous."
Gu Ji tiptoed and kissed Dan Anwen's thin lips. "Are you still jealous?"
Looking at the girl in front of him, radiating starlight, how could the man possibly be jealous? He could only shake his head.
In the car, Dan Anwen tapped the steering wheel lightly with his fingers from time to time, and occasionally glanced at the girl next to him out of the corner of his eye.
He stopped the car at a red light, turned his head to look at Gu Ji, and said with a cryptic smile, "Little friend, wouldn't you consider calling me something else?"
"Huh?" Gu Ji turned his head in confusion.
“We’re a couple now, so calling him ‘uncle’ doesn’t seem quite right.” Dan Anwen reached out and ruffled Gu Ji’s hair.
Gu Ji blinked. "But I'm already used to calling you that."
Dan Anwen didn't insist, since that wasn't his ultimate goal anyway.
“But I want to hear another name for you,” Dan Anwen said, his tone ambiguous.
"Which one?" Gu Ji pretended to be stupid, but don't think she didn't see him staring at her.
Dan Anwen, a man of principle, spoke in a deep, resonant voice, uttering the last two words in a very low voice, "I want to hear you call me brother."
Upon hearing this, even though Gu Ji was mentally prepared, she couldn't help but blush at the man's seductive voice.
Brother or romantic brother?
"I can't say it." Gu Ji opened his mouth, but found it difficult to utter those two words.
It's all because Guan Xiang used to talk to her about "sweetheart" and such for a while, and now her mind is full of lewd thoughts.
Dan Anwen didn't say much, but gave Gu Ji a meaningful look and said in a light tone, "Don't worry, I'll make you say it willingly."
Gu Ji had a feeling that she was about to fall into a pack of wild beasts, and felt that the man beside her was in extreme danger.
