Chapter 24 Head of Teaching Affairs
Friday noon
"Zhao Zhao, don't forget to check in for your study session at 2 PM this afternoon," Guan Xiang said to Gu Zhaodi as she packed up her books.
Gu Zhaodi put the teacup on the table into her schoolbag and absentmindedly hummed in agreement.
Hearing the girl's cat-like response, Guan Xiang glanced at her curiously, but ultimately left without asking any questions.
Gu Zhaodi stared blankly at Guan Xiang's retreating figure as she walked out of the classroom for a moment.
The mere thought of possibly running into Uncle Dan at Dan Si's house fills me with embarrassment; the events of last week are still vivid in my mind.
After leaving the Dan Group last time, the girl immediately changed her phone ringtone; it was no longer "Autumn Whispers." If a man heard it again, wouldn't that be even more embarrassing?
When she left the company, Uncle Dan didn't say anything, but she saw the smile in his eyes and felt something was off.
Without thinking further, Gu Zhaodi put the books back in her desk and left the classroom.
In November, the weather in Nan'an City turned slightly cooler, and people on the street wore light long-sleeved shirts. The afternoon temperature was the warmest time of day.
Gu Zhaodi carried her schoolbag, heavy with books that weighed down her thin shoulders.
Having learned from her previous experience, the girl arrived at Danyuan much faster this time.
I don't know when, but a shared bike parking spot appeared not far from the subway exit, which made it convenient for the girl to ride her bike to Danyuan.
Although there was an uphill section along the way, the distance was short and the road was mostly flat, saving the girl time and energy.
When Gu Zhaodi arrived at the entrance of Danyuan, she found a bicycle parking area not far away, which was out of place in the environment of this wealthy area.
She had originally prepared herself to rent the shared bike for several hours.
Do rich people also like riding bicycles?
Without thinking further, she parked the car, pressed the doorbell, and soon a servant came out to open the door and led her into the villa.
Once inside, they found that Guan Xiang and the others had already arrived and were playing games in the living room.
"Go for it!" Guan Xiang shouted at Dan Si, gripping the controller tightly and staring intently at the screen.
Dan Si frowned and clicked his tongue in displeasure. "I'm not rushing."
"Your gaming skills are really terrible," Guan Xiang said sarcastically, sparing a bit of her attention.
While the school bully is known for his brawls and fighting skills, gaming is definitely one of his weaknesses.
Dan Si glanced at Guan Xiang, angrily put down the controller, and said to Guan Xiang, "Who are you calling a noob?"
Seeing Dan Si flee halfway through, Guan Xiang turned around and said in a half-coaxing tone, "I'm a noob, okay? Hurry up and keep playing, we're going to lose."
Dan Si seemed to have been appeased. He picked up the handle from the carpet, looked at the large screen in the living room, and continued to fight behind Guan Xiang.
Yao Xin was sprawled on the sofa, lazily scrolling through her phone and eating fruit, looking quite content.
Seeing Gu Zhaodi arrive, he sat up with a somersault and invited her to eat.
After putting her schoolbag away, Gu Zhaodi glanced at the two people sitting on the carpet and asked, "When do we start studying?"
Just then, the two people who were engrossed in their game noticed her arrival. Guan Xiang took a moment to say, "Zhao Zhao, wait a moment, we'll be done soon."
After saying that, she instructed Dan Si to change direction and continue moving forward.
The girl blinked and gave the two of them a helpless look.
Yao Xin said lazily, "Zhao Zhao, you can do your homework first. It'll probably take a while for the two of them to finish this game."
Gu Zhaodi's eyes lit up, and she looked at Yao Xin and said, "Alright, let's do our homework first."
Yao Xin: ......
Did I unwittingly dig a hole for myself?
Seeing that the two people on the ground wouldn't finish anytime soon, Gu Zhaodi and Yao Xin went upstairs to the study to do their homework.
Dan Si's study was on the second floor, right next to his bedroom.
Pushing open the door, the study's decoration was quite ordinary, consistent with the modern style of the entire house—simple and elegant.
At a glance, it's obvious that this study is rarely used. The furniture is brand new, and the bookshelves are empty. The only obvious sign of tampering is the entire wall-mounted display case of figurines.
Gu Zhaodi found a slightly larger table, moved a chair over, and began to do her homework.
Seeing how serious the girl was, Yao Xin felt embarrassed to slack off and could only bite the bullet and sit next to her to do her homework.
The girl had a thorough grasp of the knowledge and could solve problems without any hesitation.
Meanwhile, Yao Xin scratched his head and flipped through his textbook, trying to find the answer.
Noticing Yao Xin fidgeting beside her, Gu Zhaodi stopped writing, tilted her head slightly, and said, "You do the questions you know first, and I'll teach you the ones you don't know later."
Yao Xin exclaimed "Ah!" and glanced at the almost blank workbook, feeling somewhat embarrassed to say the word "okay."
This isn't about needing to be taught what they don't know; it's clear they don't know anything at all.
Yao Xin is a proud person, and he felt a little awkward in front of the girl, wishing he had been a top student in the past.
Yao Xin sighed deeply, "I really want to go back and slap myself for not studying before."
Gu Zhaodi had just finished half of her homework when Guan Xiang and Dan Si came in carrying fruit platters and drinks.
Before the two of them could even invite the people in the study to eat fruit, Gu Zhaodi spoke up first: "You two hurry up and do your problems. I've already arranged the order in which you need to do them."
After saying that, she stared intently at the two of them, as if any of them would be betraying the girl's feelings if they said no.
Seeing that their little plan had been thwarted, the two had no choice but to put down the fruit plate and drinks.
Under the girl's watchful eye, he sat down in his seat and began working on the problems earnestly.
Guan Xiang is doing better. At least after these few weeks of training and teaching, she has mastered the basic questions and her ability to apply what she has learned to other situations has improved a lot.
Dan Si, standing to the side, was a carbon copy of Yao Xin, equally at a loss for words.
The only difference between him and Yao Xin was that he didn't even bother to look at the questions. He just idly twirled the pen in his hand, wishing he could escape the study immediately.
If it weren't for Zhao Zhao being the group leader, Young Master Dan might have already thrown down his pen and left without lingering for even a moment.
Looking at the three people, Gu Zhaodi felt she had to come up with a solution.
"I'll teach Dan Si. Xiang Xiang, after you finish your homework, teach Yao Xin. Ask me if you don't understand anything." The girl closed her completed homework and said calmly.
This will not only improve efficiency, but also help the two students who are lagging behind learn, and also help Xiangxiang consolidate her knowledge.
Dan Si and Yao Xin looked at each other, wondering if they were serious.
They both thought it was just a formality, but they didn't expect it to be real combat.
Guan Xiang nodded happily; she would listen to Zhao Zhao unconditionally when it came to studying.
Before Yao Xin and Dan Si could react, Gu Zhaodi and Guan Xiang had already switched places.
Looking at Gu Zhaodi sitting next to him, Dan Si felt like crying. He should have run away in the living room earlier. Now he was in a dilemma.
"Can I not study?" Dan Si asked Gu Zhaodi, who was seriously preparing for the questions, with a sense of wishful thinking.
"What did you say?"
The girl's clear voice sounded like a question, yet also like a threat, sending chills down one's spine; she sounded exactly like a headmaster.
Guan Xiang and Yao Xin both looked up at the two people opposite them, their faces full of shock.
"Zhao Zhao, your tone sounds like a teacher's." Guan Xiang blinked, trying to find a trace of a teacher in the girl.
Gu Zhaodi was also a little surprised that she could make such a sound, which sounded a bit like a teacher speaking.
Seeing everyone staring at her, the girl smiled shyly, "Hurry up and do the questions, hurry up and do the questions."
The two people opposite him wisely lowered their heads, while Dan Si resumed his usual lazy demeanor.
He couldn't let anyone find out that he had been intimidated by her just now; he had a feeling that his uncle was talking to him.
"Dear Dan Si, may we begin now?" Gu Zhaodi turned her head and looked at Dan Si with a forced smile.
Dan Si had a sense of fear of being dominated by Dan Anwen. He nodded in a daze, and when he came to his senses, he already had a pen in his hand.
Time flies when you're studying; three hours passed in the blink of an eye, and it was already five o'clock.
Yao Xin's stomach rang precisely on time, as if it were set to alarm clock.
Gu Zhaodi checked the time and, seeing that she had learned enough, mercifully announced the end of the course.
