Chapter 54 Spoiling the Kids

Chapter 54 Spoiling the Kids

"Please deliver the documents from the safe to the company. I'll send you the password in a bit."

"Uncle Dan, that's a safe!" The girl's surprise was extraordinary; her eyes widened in disbelief.

The man chuckled softly, his voice carrying a hint of magic that tickled the girl's ears slightly. "I know it's a safe, but I trust you."

After a long pause, the girl nodded haphazardly, then realized she was on the phone and hurriedly said, "I understand, Uncle Dan. I promise to complete the mission."

She felt that since Uncle Dan trusted her, she should definitely complete this task well.

Dan Anwen on the other end of the phone couldn't suppress the smile on her lips, her eyes slightly upturned, and her whole demeanor was extremely gentle.

"Okay, I hope the children can complete this task successfully."

"Yes, ma'am." The girl nodded vigorously.

At this moment, the man tenderly pampered the little girl, playing along with her in this pointless conversation.

After opening the safe in the study with the password, Gu Zhaodi didn't dare to look inside for more than a few seconds, fearing that there might be some valuables inside.

Upon discovering that there were no other valuables besides a pile of contracts and documents, the girl breathed a long sigh of relief, feeling much more at ease.

What the girl didn't know was that the documents inside this safe were far more valuable than ordinary gold, silver, and jade artifacts, and even concerned the fate of the Dan Group.

After finding the documents Uncle Dan needed, Gu Zhaodi rushed to the Dan Group without stopping.

Since Su Wenjing left Nan'an City, the girl has never come to the shopping district again.

As soon as she entered the company, the receptionist rushed over to ask if her name was Zhao Zhao. After the girl nodded, the receptionist led her directly to the elevator and escorted her up.

Throughout the entire process, the girl did not utter a single word.

Before the elevator doors could close completely, someone pressed the outside elevator button.

The woman's graceful curves were encased in a gray suit dress, and her red-soled high heels made her figure even more alluring, while her already charming face became even more captivating.

The professional woman's attire looks perfectly natural on her, exuding an intellectual and sophisticated aura.

Gu Zhaodi blinked her starry eyes at the woman in front of her, silently marveling at how beautiful she was.

The woman clearly noticed the girl's amazed gaze, but after glancing at her, she didn't pay her any attention.

The two people in the elevator watched the floor numbers jump up. Only then did the girl realize that this pretty woman might be here to see Uncle Dan.

Before the girl could think further, the elevator reached the top floor, and the woman stepped out first in her high heels.

When Gu Zhaodi left with her head down, she heard the woman's delicate voice, which contrasted sharply with her beautiful appearance.

"Assistant Liu, is Brother Dan in his office? I need to speak with him." The woman stood facing Liu Lei, but her eyes kept glancing towards the president's office.

Liu Lei maintained his usual smile and replied businesslike, "Ms. Hang, an appointment is required to see the president."

"Why do I need an appointment to see Brother Dan? Let me in now." Hang Jinjia's sweet voice carried a hint of disbelief.

Assistant Liu gave a slight smile. "I'm sorry, Ms. Hang, I need to ask the president first."

Hang Jinjia snorted, "Fine, go ahead and ask."

"Okay." Liu Lei gave a professional, fake smile.

Just as he was about to go in and ask, he saw Gu Zhaodi standing behind Hang Jinjia, and his smile became more genuine.

"Miss Gu, you've arrived. The president is waiting for you. Please come in quickly." Liu Lei put on his usual smile, a stark contrast to his attitude towards women earlier.

"good."

The girl was a little embarrassed; the people in front of her didn't go in, but she swaggered right past them.

Sure enough, when she heard Liu Lei call the girl behind her, Hang Jinjia's beautiful eyes looked the girl up and down, and the girl, who had her back to her, could feel the disdain in her gaze.

"Stop right there." Hang Jinjia's voice came from behind.

Seeing that the girl did not stop, Hang Jinjia took two big steps forward, the sound of her heels hitting the ground was particularly loud.

The girl's fair arm was grabbed by her, and Hang Jinjia's bright red nails accidentally scratched the girl's fair arm.

Gu Zhaodi frowned slightly and forcefully broke free. "What do you want?"

Hang Jinjia spoke in an unfriendly tone: "Who are you? What's your relationship with Brother Dan?"

Gu Zhaodi found her puzzling, "This doesn't seem to have anything to do with you."

"you......"

Perhaps it was the first time Hang Jinjia had ever seen someone treat her so disrespectfully; her bright face contorted for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure.

Liu Lei quickly came over from behind and said, "Miss Gu, please go in first."

The girl nodded and turned to walk towards the office door.

Behind him, he could still hear the woman asking Liu Lei about her identity, "Why can she go in?"

"This is permitted by the president." Liu Lei used this sentence to shut the woman up.

Hang Jinjia pursed her red lips, her tone filled with anger, "Then go and tell Brother Dan that I'm here."

"Okay." Liu Lei continued in a businesslike manner, but ultimately followed the girl into the office.

"President, Miss Hang has arrived and insists on seeing you," Liu Lei reported, standing in front of his desk.

Dan Anwen frowned deeply, her tone indifferent, "Let her in."

"Okay." Liu Lei turned and walked towards the door.

Only after Liu Lei closed the door did Dan Anwen take the documents from the girl's hand.

"How did you get that on your arm?" The man's gaze fell on the girl's scratched skin, the red mark standing out starkly against her fair complexion.

Gu Zhaodi pursed her lips, unsure how to broach the subject. She couldn't very well say that it was the woman at the entrance of your office who did it.

Seeing the girl with her head down and not speaking for a long time, Dan Anwen stood up and wanted to check on her injuries.

Just then, the office door was pushed open, followed by a woman's even more sweet and coquettish voice, "Brother Dan..."

These three words immediately gave the girl goosebumps on a hot summer day.

"What do you want?" the man interrupted her directly, without any intention of exchanging pleasantries.

Perhaps because the man's attitude was too cold, Hang Jinjia looked rather embarrassed, but her tone became more normal, "I wanted to talk to you about cooperation."

Dan Anwen's expression was cold, like an air conditioner constantly radiating cold air. "Let your brother talk to me about the cooperation. You're not qualified."

Hang Jinjia is the younger sister of Hang Yan, the president of Hang's Group. She usually holds a sinecure position in the company and has no ability or qualifications to do business with the person in charge of Dan's Group.

Hang Jinjia's smile froze, and even the girl could feel the air freeze.

This was the first time she had ever seen Uncle Dan show such disrespect to someone, so how exactly did this woman offend Uncle Dan?

"Let me ask for my brother first." Hang Jinjia looked embarrassed, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously pouted.

Dan Anwen maintained the same expression and tone, "You go back first. I'll talk to your brother about the cooperation."

"Then let's have lunch together, Brother Dan. I know a French restaurant that's pretty good." Hang Jinjia realized she couldn't get close to the man by talking about business, so she could only rely on feelings.

However, Hang Jinjia overestimated the feelings men had for her. Even though they had known each other since childhood, her persistent and clingy nature wore them down.

"I'm not hungry."

Seeing that the man was unmoved by either soft or hard tactics, Hang Jinjia had no choice but to turn her attention to the girl standing quietly next to Dan Anwen.

"Who is this young lady? She's really pretty." Hang Jinjia smiled, as if it were the first time he was meeting the girl.

The speed at which she changes her expression is so fast, even girls would want to award her an Oscar for Best Actress; no actress can match her acting skills.

"This doesn't seem to concern you."

Liu Lei, who was standing, almost burst out laughing. This was exactly the same answer Miss Gu had given at the office door earlier.

The air froze once again, and even with Hang Jinjia's thick skin, he couldn't stay any longer.

Perhaps the girl's expression of watching the show was too obvious, because Hang Jinjia glared at the girl fiercely as she left, which was happened to be seen by Dan Anwen.

Thinking of the child's hesitant look earlier, the man made up his mind.

After Hang Jinjia left, Liu Lei also went out, leaving only the girl and the man in the office.

"Uncle Dan, I'll go home now." The girl pointed to the door and was about to leave.

Dan Anwen picked up the phone from the desk and said calmly, "It's already noon. Let's eat first before going back."

"Aren't you not hungry?" the girl winked playfully, teasing the man.

Dan Anwen was taken aback for a moment, then chuckled and said, "Little kid, you're making fun of me."

"Hehe." The girl smiled shyly, her bright eyes brimming with laughter.

"Let's go." The man's doting expression was tinged with helplessness, but he could only indulge the child.
