Chapter 60 Su Ling's Little Thoughts
The girl put the bracelet on her slender wrist, which looked even more delicate against the white crystal background.
After washing up, the girl went downstairs. The man who had come home late last night was already sitting at the dining table waiting for her to have breakfast.
"Good morning, Uncle Dan." Gu Zhaodi smiled gently.
Dan An noticed the bracelet he had given the girl on her wrist at a glance, and a gentle smile appeared in his deep eyes.
While passing by a shopping mall in the United States, he suddenly remembered that he was going out to buy a gift for a child. He had forgotten to say goodbye to her, and he couldn't forget the gift too.
"The children's bracelet suits you very well." The man's voice was hoarse and had a rough texture, probably because he hadn't been sleeping much.
The girl smiled, her dimples appearing faintly on her cheeks. "Thank you, Uncle Dan."
After finishing the milk, the girl remembered what Su Ling had told her a few days ago.
"Uncle Dan, Meimei's owner asked if we want to attend the pet party at Jinshan Villa this Saturday," the girl said while eating a xiaolongbao (soup dumpling).
Dan Anwen lowered his eyes thoughtfully, "Little friend, do you want to go? I'm fine with anything."
The girl glanced at Guoguo lying on the ground, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Go ahead, I think Guoguo really wants to go."
The man glanced down at the dog gnawing on a bone on the ground, his dark pupils darkening once more.
As if sensing something, Guoguo looked up and saw the man's gaze. Instantly, she picked up the bone and hid far away.
Guoguo: I always feel that my owner has ill intentions.
After the meal, the girl was taken to school by the man.
Saturday arrived in the blink of an eye. Early in the morning, Su Ling brought Mei Mei to the villa and rang the doorbell of the Dan family.
Aunt Zhang opened the door after hearing the voice and politely asked the person in front of her, "Who are you?"
Su Ling smiled her beautiful face and said softly, "I am a resident of this villa area. I am here to see Zhao Zhao today."
When Aunt Zhang heard that she was looking for Zhao Zhao, she led her to the living room, poured her a cup of tea, and then went upstairs to find the girl.
Looking at the decor of the living room in the villa, Su Ling knew that Dan Anwen must be a low-key and cultured gentleman.
The living room features a minimalist style, with a simple and elegant combination of black, white, and gray colors. Most importantly, every piece of furniture is quite valuable.
She couldn't even recognize the brand of some of the houses. This was mainly because she wasn't of a high enough social class. Being able to buy a house in Jinshan Villa only meant she was rich, but it didn't mean she had a high social status.
If she hadn't recognized the imported Arabian carpet on her feet, she might have thought she was wrong. Using a carpet that costs six figures per square meter as footwear is quite extravagant.
Gu Zhaodi, who was upstairs, was completely bewildered when she heard that Su Ling had come to her house. Why was she here?
She quickly remembered that Sister Su Ling had asked her for her home address last week, but she hadn't paid much attention to it at the time.
After quickly washing up, the girl got dressed and went downstairs.
"Sister Su Ling, what brings you here?" the girl asked, blinking.
Su Ling smiled appropriately, then said with a hint of apology, "I just forgot to tell you the exact time and address of today's gathering."
Su Ling actually had her own little scheme. After receiving the girl's reply that she would be attending the party, she took advantage of the fact that the two of them had not exchanged contact information and deliberately did not tell the girl the specific time and address, nor did she go out to walk the dog in the afternoon.
The purpose of coming to the girl's house today was to see the specific situation of Dan Anwen and whether it was worth her trying to get close to her. Besides, this way she could also show the man that she was responsible.
If she had known only Dan Anwen's surname and had a wide network of contacts to find information about him, she wouldn't have resorted to this desperate measure.
As the person in charge of the Tam Group, Tam An-wen's photo has never been circulated. His name can only be heard in financial reports, but his face is unknown.
The girl scratched her head sheepishly, "I'm so sorry, I forgot to ask, making you come all this way, Sister Su Ling."
At that moment, the man upstairs, dressed in black pajamas and slippers, came downstairs.
"Uncle Dan," the girl called out sweetly.
Sitting next to her, Su Ling slightly changed her expression. Her already smiling face became even more perfect, and she said in a gentle voice, "Hello, Mr. Dan."
The man nodded slightly, his gaze indifferent, and replied curtly, "Hello."
Su Ling is adept at reading people's expressions, and there's a reason she's become a top star in the entertainment industry. She can clearly sense a man's indifferent attitude, but that doesn't mean she'll give up. After all, pursuing a sugar daddy always requires some effort.
"Zhao Zhao, the exact time is 3 PM, and the location is on Jinshan Island." Su Ling smiled politely, "Then I'll be going now."
The girl nodded slightly. "I'll remember. I'll keep the appointment this afternoon."
After Su Ling left, the girl didn't notice the frown on the man's face when he looked at Su Ling. Instead, she took the excited Guo Guo out for a walk.
"Wait a minute, little one, I'll go with you." Dan Anwen took the leash from the girl's hand.
"Mmm." The girl followed the man closely.
In the afternoon, the man took the girl and Guoguo to the island by yacht. The island was a bit far from the lake shore of the garden, and it took a few minutes to get to the shore of the island by yacht.
The island is located in the center of Jinshan Villas, covering an area of over 2,000 acres. The island is fully equipped with buildings and facilities, including shops and restaurants, making it resemble a small residential community.
As soon as they arrived on the island, Su Ling was already waiting at the dock. Upon seeing the two of them, she quickly came forward to greet them.
"Zhao Zhao, Mr. Dan, this way." Su Ling waved to the two of them.
"Sister Su Ling." Gu Zhaodi led Guo Guo over with a smile, while Dan Anwen strolled leisurely behind them.
The two German Shepherds sniffed each other and then began to play affectionately.
"Sister Su Ling, we seem to be late." The girl scratched her head sheepishly. She had slept straight through her afternoon nap until three o'clock, and was still feeling groggy when she woke up.
"It's alright, the pet party starts at three o'clock, but you can come anytime." Su Ling smiled, but her eyes secretly glanced at the gentle man behind the girl.
The two followed Su Ling in a sightseeing bus to the center of the island, where a large artificial lawn was covered with many dogs and other small animals playing. There was also a small golf course not far away.
"Su Ling, come over here for a moment." A young woman not far away waved to Su Ling.
"Zhao Zhao, I'll go take a look first," Su Ling said apologetically to the girl.
"Sister Su Ling, you go ahead and do your work. We'll wander around by ourselves." The girl smiled gently, her crescent-shaped eyes looking around with curiosity.
After Su Ling left, the girl removed the leash from Guo Guo's neck, patted Guo Guo's head, and said, "Go play."
Guoguo had been eagerly waiting. As soon as the leash was loosened, the dog was poised to charge forward. After receiving the girl's answer, it ran without hesitation towards Meimei and the other friends in the distance.
"Uncle Dan, where are we going?" Gu Zhaodi looked up at the man after watching Guoguo safely reach the lawn.
Dan Anwen's gaze fell on the golf course not far away. "Would the little one like to play golf?"
"Huh?" The girl looked at several middle-aged men in the distance wearing black T-shirts and white pants.
Golf is an elegant and noble sport, a refined gentleman's sport, and also the best place for bigwigs to conduct business.
"Shall we go?" The man patted the dazed girl's head and asked in a low voice.
Since there was nothing else to do, the girl nodded in agreement.
Upon arrival, the staff greeted the man, "Good afternoon, Mr. and Ms. Dan."
Dan Anwen nodded slightly, her voice calm, "Same as always, bring another First Lady special edition golf club."
"Okay." When the staff member heard the name of the pole, he was visibly taken aback for a moment, and his gaze secretly fell on the graceful girl standing next to the man.
The girl looked at the man with slight surprise. "Uncle Dan, you've been here before?"
It's no wonder the girl didn't know the man had been there. During the time she stayed at his house, he was mostly busy with company affairs and naturally had no time to relax on the island.
"I've been here a few times before," the man said with a smile.
The girl secretly stuck out her tongue. She had forgotten that Uncle Dan had lived here for so many years; it would be strange if he didn't know.
