Chapter 112 Unable to resist teasing

Chapter 112 Unable to resist teasing

Weihai, a small city, is known as "nestled by mountains and water". The clear blue sky is dotted with white clouds, the seawater is crystal clear, there are pine forests, and seabirds flock to the beach.

A salty sea breeze swept over her, ruffling the girl's flowing white skirt and carrying a subtle fragrance, deepening the summer's charm.

"Uncle Dan, let's get going." Gu Zhaodi urged Dan Anwen, who was still in the pavilion, as she looked at the car parked in front of the guesthouse.

Last night, the two of them went out for a late-night snack, but because they ate too much, they didn't get back to their room to sleep until after 3 a.m., and when they woke up it was already noon.

Even though the temperature in Weihai is pleasant in summer, the afternoon sun is still quite scorching, so she and the man didn't go to the beach until the crimson sunset appeared.

Dan Anwen strode over, took the girl's handbag, and said, "Let's go."

Mountains and water are intertwined, with forests on three sides surrounding the sea. The tide is receding at the beach, but people keep pouring in.

As Gu Zhaodi gazed at the azure sea and the soft, fine sand before her, her emotions seemed to rise and fall with the vastness of the ocean waves.

"Uncle Dan, the ocean is really beautiful and magnificent."

The vast ocean is filled with surging waves, and in the shallow waters, groups of friends frolic and play freely. On the beach, sunshades have been set up, and some people are lying lazily under them, enjoying the view.

Dan Anwen took Gu Zhaodi to buy a cup of room temperature milk tea first.

Looking at the room-temperature milk tea in her hand, Gu Zhaodi suddenly thought of a problem: if she had her period here, wouldn't she be unable to swim?

What's the difference between not swimming at the beach and never having been there?

"Uncle Dan, I suddenly thought of a very serious question." The girl looked at the man earnestly.

The man raised an eyebrow slightly, his tone indifferent, "Oh? What's the problem?"

"If I get my period, won't I be unable to swim?" The girl's face flushed slightly, and her voice was soft and sweet.

The man's eyes curled upwards, a deep smile playing on his lips. His large, well-defined hand gently pinched the girl's soft cheek. "Don't worry, I've calculated everything. It won't interfere with your swimming."

"Ah?" The girl's pretty cheeks flushed instantly, and she didn't dare to look the man in the eye with her big, watery eyes.

The golden rays of the setting sun slanted across the girl's fair and delicate skin, giving her a rosy glow, making her look charming and lovely.

"What, are you shy?" The man bent down slightly, his deep, magnetic voice carrying a low, coaxing, and seductive quality that sent chills down one's spine.

The girl was no longer shy. Her tone was fierce but soft, yet completely harmless, "Uncle Dan, you've become bad lately."

After saying that, she walked angrily towards the beach, leaving the man behind her standing there chuckling softly, his thin lips curving upwards like the warm sunshine in spring.

I never imagined kids could be so easily charmed.

Since the man realized his feelings, he has become less composed and reserved in front of the girl, and instead occasionally reveals his roguish and arrogant nature.

Seeing the girl run away in embarrassment and anger, Dan An strode after her, his warm, large hand tightly gripping her slender wrist, and he coaxed her softly, "Okay, it's my fault, little one, don't be angry anymore, okay?"

"It's simple if you want me not to be angry: just agree to let me take off my shoes and walk on the sand." Gu Zhaodi's bright and clear eyes revealed a sly glint.

She had been planning this for a while, but she knew very well that the man would not let her do such a thing.

As expected, the man's sharp, thick eyebrows furrowed, and disapproval flashed in his eyes.

He was mainly worried that there might be sharp objects in the sand on the beach, and that his feet could easily get cuts or scrapes if they touched the sand directly.

However, looking at the little figure with its eager and longing eyes, he just couldn't bring himself to refuse.

The man gently stroked the girl's upturned nose with his slender, pale fingers, his tone full of doting affection, "Okay, but be careful of the foreign objects in the sand under your feet."

"Okay, okay." Afraid that he might change his mind, the girl immediately took off her pearl-white shoes, and the man beside her naturally took the shoes from her hands.

The man took in a pair of small, porcelain-white feet. The fair, rosy soles lightly touched the soft sand, and the round, delicate toes were slightly curled, which was quite adorable.

The man's dark pupils darkened further in the setting sun, his prominent Adam's apple bobbed up and down, and his delicate fingertips gently caressed his face.

Once the girl took off her shoes, she began to let loose, like a bird breaking free from its cage, hopping and skipping on the sand with great joy.

"Uncle Dan, come quick!" The girl with a bright smile turned around and waved to the man. The dazzling sunset and the azure sky couldn't compare to the sunshine on her face.

The man carried her small bag in one hand and her delicate pearl-white shoes in the other. His black casual pants hugged his muscular thighs as he slowly walked towards her, a doting smile playing on his lips.

"Slow down."

The man watched the girl running with her back to the path with a worried look in his eyes.

"Okay, okay, come here quickly." A smile graced the girl's delicate face, and the smile on her lips was hard to suppress.

Because there was a man behind her, she wasn't afraid of falling; someone was always silently protecting her.

Under the setting sun, a noble and composed man gazed with a doting smile at a lively and youthful girl not far away. Although the bright sunset was gradually disappearing, the two figures still lingered on the gentle horizon.

As the sun set, Gu Zhaodi had had her fill of playing in the sand and sea.

"Uncle Dan, I'm hungry." Gu Zhaodi blinked her almond-shaped eyes at the man, becoming more and more adept at acting coquettishly.

Dan Anwen took out a wet wipe from his bag and handed it to the girl, saying, "Wipe your feet first and put your shoes on. I'll take you to eat."

Gu Zhaodi took the wet wipe and was about to stand on one leg to wipe her feet when she saw a warm, large hand in front of her.

"Put your hand on my arm." Dan Anwen's eyes were full of tenderness.

After Gu Zhaodi had put her shoes on, Dan Anwen spoke again: "What would you like to eat?"

Gu Zhaodi glanced at the beach behind her and said in a gentle tone, "Of course you have to eat seafood in Weihai. Summer and barbecue are the perfect match."

Dan An sniffed for a moment and immediately understood what she meant, "You want to eat seafood barbecue?"

"Uh-huh."

"Okay, I'll take you to eat." The man slightly curved his lips, his gentle eyes filled with the girl's charming image.

Dan Anwen checked some local guides and drove her to a beach barbecue spot not far from here.

"Uncle Dan, do you know how to barbecue?" Gu Zhaodi said that she had lived with the man for a year and had never seen him cook.

The beach barbecue spots here are mainly for self-grilling, so it's inevitable that girls or men will have to do it themselves.

Looking at the various seafood on the shelf in front of him, Dan Anwen said in a calm tone, "Don't worry, the kids won't go hungry tonight."

According to the Dan family tradition, he also trained in the military when he was a teenager. Although he couldn't cook, he learned how to grill skewers during wilderness survival training.

The man rolled up his pristine white sleeves and began placing the ingredients on the shelf, occasionally turning over the handcuffs. The girl, however, couldn't get a chance to help.

Although her cooking is decent, barbecuing requires skill, and she didn't perform very well at the last barbecue. Compared to Fang Yuan, who is a barbecue expert, her food was barely edible.

Dan Anwen placed the grilled garlic scallops from the rack onto the girl's plate, saying, "Try it first."

Gu Zhaodi didn't pick it up and eat it herself first; instead, she fed it to the man's mouth.

"Uncle Dan, you've worked hard. Please eat first." The girl's eyes were full of sincerity, and the man was momentarily stunned.

When the man came to his senses, he joked, "Little kid, you're just using someone else's flowers to present to Buddha."

The girl showed no embarrassment at being exposed, and instead asked rather confidently, "So, are you going to accept this garlic scallop flower?"

The man chuckled softly, a smile spreading across his chiseled face, and lowered his head to eat the scallop from the girl's hand.

"Not bad," the man commented.

It's unclear whether he was praising the scallops he grilled himself or the girl's gesture of feeding him scallops.
