The next day.
Yan Yuning and her assistant brought the documents to Wen Zhilu's office. Before they even entered, they heard Wen Zhilu growl, "Mu Zhizhi! You're fired!!"
Mu Zhizhi's voice was so soft that it trembled. "Boss Wen, I... I'll change your cup. Please don't fire me. If you fire me, what will happen to my brother who can't eat?"
The assistant who led Yan Yuning to the president's office twitched his lips and muttered softly, "Every time you ask President Wen to deduct your salary, you don't think about your brother who has nothing to eat at home."
Yan Yuning jokingly asked, "Why would you take the initiative to ask for a salary deduction?"
"Boss Yan, you don't know, Assistant Mu's professional skills are impeccable, but her emotional intelligence is low. Hearing the office become quiet, the assistant knocked on the door and, with Wen Zhilu's permission, opened the door for Yan Yuning.
In the office, Mu Zhizhi was holding the cat, with a warm coffee cup in his hand, and looking at her apologetically with a pitiful look on his face.
She thought about it for half the night last night. She couldn't let Senior Wen think she was talking nonsense, so she went to the pet store early in the morning and bought a kitten. She brought it to the boss to prove that she didn't lie and didn't deliberately bite him.
But she didn't know that the little kitten pooped in Senior Wen's coffee cup.
She thought they were coffee beans.
Wen Zhilu angrily tugged at his tie and said, "Get out."
"Mr. Wen, don't be angry. I'll return the kitten right away... not send it back, and I'll give you a new coffee cup as compensation."
After saying that, Mu Zhizhi turned around holding the cat, saw Yan Yu Ning, called out "Sister," and ran out of the office.
Yan Yuning smiled and shook her head. She didn't expect that Mu Heng's sister was so interesting.
"Isn't that funny?" Wen Zhilu walked to the water dispenser with a sour face and poured a glass of water for Yan Yuning.
Yan Yuning said honestly, "It's funny."
"Yan Yuning?"
Yan Yuning smiled, her eyes curved, "I'm not laughing at you, I just happen to love laughing."
Wen Zhilu: “…”
"Lulu." Yan Yuning took the water from him and asked with a leisurely smile, "Are you really going to fire Zhizhi?"
Wen Zhilu's eyes moved slightly, "For her brother's sake, let's keep her for now."
"Oh~" Yan Yuning stretched out the last syllable, "For her brother's sake~"
"What else?" Knowing that Yan Yuning was coming tomorrow, Wen Zhilu handed her the breakfast he had bought long ago.
"Her brother approached me to work with him so he could be my assistant. How can I justify kicking his sister out now?"
Yan Yuning smiled and nodded, "I understand, I understand."
Wen Zhilu rolled his eyes at her, took the document from her hand, and signed his name without even looking at it.
"You're not afraid of me..."
Wen Zhilu interrupted her without any hesitation, "Shut up."
Yan Yuning: “…”
"Any other work arrangements?" Wen Zhilu handed her the signed contract.
"Well, I'll go back after finalizing one more contract."
Wen Zhilu nodded, "See you next time then."
Yan Yuning's eyes slightly curved, "Lulu, I think it's pretty good..."
Wen Zhilu started to chase people away, "Get out."
