Chapter 53 The Strange Girl

The matter could have been perfectly resolved with just a short sentence, so why did she refuse?

Lin Tingfeng was deeply puzzled. He continued to watch Ye Wenyu resisting without showing any emotion, as if the bar manager was forcing her to get close not to him, Lin Tingfeng, but to a demon, and every cell in her body was desperately resisting.

While Lin Tingfeng was quietly observing, his friend beside him slowly said, "How strange, is that waitress stupid, Mr. Lin? She actually refuses to apologize to you and settle the matter. It seems she wants to take responsibility for the compensation herself."

Another friend said, "Tingfeng, most women in this world would fawn over you, but this one is a bit different. Is she trying to attract your attention in a different way, taking an unconventional approach?"

My friend's words made everyone laugh.

Lin Tingfeng didn't laugh. He thought things weren't as simple as they seemed. Bartenders rarely broke drinks. They worked in bars for long periods and were used to moving around in noisy dancing crowds. The fact that this girl broke his drink was strange in itself.

Lin Tingfeng couldn't find the answer, but he had no intention of finding out. He planned to sit quietly and observe how things developed. In any case, this matter didn't concern him much, did it?

However, at this moment, things took a turn for the better.

When the incredibly strong bar manager used all his strength to pull Ye Wenyu toward Lin Tingfeng's table, Ye Wenyu was like a suitcase, practically being dragged along by the bar manager. She resisted desperately, but how could a young girl be a match for a grown man? So the distance between her and Lin Tingfeng kept shrinking, from fifteen meters to ten meters. But when the distance of ten meters became only five meters, Ye Wenyu suddenly bit the bar manager's wrist like a mad cat, her movement faster than lightning.

"Ouch—" The bar manager cried out in pain and let go of his hand. His eyes widened, and his face was full of disbelief. He never expected that this student girl who had only been there for a few days would bite him like a crazy little beast.

Seizing this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to regain her freedom, Ye Wenyu, like a fawn escaping a hunter's pursuit, pushed through the crowd and ran out of the bar at lightning speed, disappearing without a trace in the blink of an eye.

The bar manager was dumbfounded.

Lin Tingfeng raised an eyebrow, a slight look of surprise appearing on his face.

This is a bit strange; it's completely unpredictable.

The scene he just witnessed suddenly reminded him of a childhood story he read when he was a child. At midnight, Cinderella was afraid that her beautiful dress would disappear, the pumpkin carriage and the servants would turn back into their original forms, so she hurriedly fled from the prince's ball.

Because they were afraid of being exposed and having their true forms revealed, they disappeared in a flash.

As Lin Tingfeng was lost in deep confusion, his friend teased him, "Tingfeng, look how cunning young girls are these days! Has she successfully caught your attention?"

Lin Tingfeng remained silent.

His friend laughed, "I bet that girl wearing a mask at the bar was intentional. Once she takes it off, she's definitely a stunning beauty who'll amaze you. Tingfeng, your luck with women has arrived. Aren't you tempted?"

Lin Tingfeng remained silent as the bar manager walked towards him.

He frowned.

The bar manager smiled obsequiously, bowing and scraping to Lin Tingfeng. Nervous, he stammered, "Mr. Lin, hello, our waitress... she accidentally spilled your drink. I'm so sorry, she's young, no, she doesn't know any better. Could you please forgive her?"

Lin Tingfeng had already stood up. After making such a fuss for so long, he had lost his appetite for drinking. He glanced at the bar manager and said slowly, "You want me to pay for the drinks?"

The bar manager's face flushed, and he nodded. That brat ran away. Of course, he'd find her. If President Lin refused to pay for the drinks, then he'd have to pay for the broken bottles of fine wine. He was truly unlucky! After he paid, he'd definitely find that ugly girl and make her pay back the money. He'd dig three feet into the ground to find her, humph!

“Okay—” Lin Tingfeng replied calmly.

The bar manager looked up with delight and said excitedly, "Thank you, Mr. Lin!"

Lin Tingfeng glanced at him and slowly said, "Tell her to come and apologize to me in person." He was just curious, curious why that little girl avoided him like the plague, and wanted to run away whenever she saw him.

After saying this, he turned and left with his friends, leaving the bar manager standing there gritting his teeth and stamping his feet. He would have to pay for the drinks first, and he was determined to catch that brat and make her apologize!
