"Xiaoyu, come on, put on your slippers." Her aunt's loving voice sounded behind her, as warm as her grandmother's hand gently stroking her hair.
Ye Wenyu came to her senses and slowly turned around to look at the aunt who was both strange and familiar. Strange because she didn't know her and didn't even know her surname, but familiar because she had taken care of her during her illness.
The aunt looked at her with such loving eyes, just like her grandmother in her memory.
Looking at her aunt, Ye Wenyu felt a warm current flow through her heart. She asked her curiously, "Auntie, how did you know my name is Xiaoyu?" Although her voice was still small and light as a spider's silk, she was still able to speak.
The aunt smiled and said kindly to her, "Because Mr. Lin calls you that, we all follow his example." Her face showed a matter-of-fact expression as she bent down and helped Ye Wenyu put on her slippers.
Ye Wenyu felt a lump in her throat after not being cared for so gently for a long time. She thought to herself, "This is because of Lin Tingguang that my aunt is so kind to me."
Ye Wenyu bent down and said to the aunt, "Auntie, I can do it myself." How could she let an aunt who looked like her grandmother bend down to put on her shoes? This wasn't the old society, and she wasn't a young lady from a wealthy family.
She was just a poor girl, and since people respected her, she should respect them even more.
No one can choose their birth, but how they conduct themselves is a choice.
The aunt insisted on putting her shoes on, straightened up, and smiled kindly at her, saying, "Mr. Lin entrusted me to take good care of you; it's my job." Her tone was warm, and her expression was very humble and respectful.
Ye Wenyu then realized that her aunt was Lin Tingfeng's servant. She was truly flattered, as Lin Tingfeng was her aunt's master, not hers. But her aunt treated her like a mistress, and she thought to herself that she was once again benefiting from Lin Tingfeng's influence.
Ye Wenyu looked around the room. It was huge, probably ten times the size of her old home. She asked the housekeeper, "Where's President Lin?"
The house is so beautiful! Mahogany floors, velvet curtains, pink wallpaper, all-white furniture, pink dolls, and various Hello Kitty ornaments—it's decorated like a princess's house.
Ye Wenyu had never been treated so gently since she was a child. Her heart was warmed and filled with gratitude.
The aunt tidied up the room for her and smiled, saying, "The company had something to do today, so President Lin went out early this morning. But for the past month that you've been sick, President Lin has been staying here every day. Oh, by the way, his room is right next to yours. The room next door is small. He rarely comes to this villa, but he does have a bedroom. His master bedroom is on the first floor, but for the past month, he hasn't slept in his master bedroom. We all tried to persuade him, but he said that since you're sick, if he sleeps next to you, he can get there immediately if you make any noise."
Ye Wenyu was stunned. President Lin was being so good to her? During her illness, she had been in a state of confusion and had no idea that so many things had happened in the past month.

Ye Wenyu pondered for a moment, then quietly moved her feet and left the room. She went to the next room, the door of which was ajar and not closed, so she quietly went inside.
The furnishings in his room were completely different from hers. Her room was girly, pink, and flashy, while his room was completely different in style. It was simple and clean, with black and white furniture, white oak floors, and a cold black leather sofa. It looked more like an office than a bedroom.
Lin Tingfeng wasn't there. She took a deep breath, and it seemed as if his scent was still in the air. She slowly walked to the clothes rack in his room, where one of his clothes, a black overcoat, had just been taken off. The material and texture looked top-notch, and a faint scent of tobacco wafted into her nose. She wanted to reach out and touch it, to hold it to her face and smell his scent, but at that moment, she heard her aunt's footsteps behind her.
Ye Wenyu had no choice but to desperately suppress her impulse and slowly turn around.
The aunt smiled and said to her, "You miss Mr. Lin? I just called him and told him you can talk and walk again. He was very happy and will definitely be back soon."
Ye Wenyu smiled shyly, walked out of Lin Tingfeng's room, and returned to her own room.
The thought of seeing him soon made her a little nervous.
She looked down at her clothes and suddenly realized that they were no longer the old ones she was wearing. At this moment, she was wearing a white cotton pajama set with blue stripes, which fit her well and was very comfortable.
Her face flushed red instantly, and she stammered, "Auntie, where are my old clothes?" Now that she was better, she wanted to change into her old clothes and go back to school immediately.
The auntie said with a smile, "I've already washed and dried the old clothes, and they're hanging in the closet. Go and take a look yourself." There was an expectant look on her face.

There was a walk-in closet with a row of large wardrobes. She opened one of the wardrobes and was shocked to find it filled with women's new clothes! All sorts of colors and styles, the colors all in understated Morandi tones, the styles all trendy for the season, of superior quality and impeccable tailoring. She picked up one of the pieces and glanced at it, realizing it was a luxury brand she would never normally even consider. She immediately let go of it in fright, not wanting to mess it up or get it dirty.
