Chapter 57 Her Change

Lin Tingfeng always patiently protected her, even when she was silently laughing or crying.

Ye Wenyu quietly enjoyed all of this. She was quite surprised. She had always thought he disliked her. He seemed like an ascetic man and seemed to particularly dislike her. However, during her illness, he showered her with endless affection. He pampered her like a princess and even indulged her in every way when she threw a tantrum.

He appeared in her world every day, even guarding her all day long. He used to be the busiest person in the world, but suddenly he was no longer busy. He became a wealthy idler who did nothing all day but read books, drink tea, and tend to flowers and plants.

When she felt a little better, Ye Wenyu gradually became anxious. She didn't know how long she had been sick or how many days had passed. She was worried about her studies and wanted to go back to school as soon as possible. However, she still had recurring high fevers and a persistent cough. What?! Ye Wenyu was utterly shocked. She struggled to get out of bed with all her might and ran barefoot to the window. She knew that the day she collapsed by the roadside was early spring, March 1st. She had been sick for a whole month? She couldn't believe it!

The aunt behind her held her slippers and said with concern, "Xiaoyu, you've just recovered from being sick, and you're running around barefoot. Remember to wear shoes." It was as if she were the person Ye Wenyu knew best in the world, as if she had watched her grow up, yet she didn't even know the aunt's name.

Ye Wenyu stood by the window, staring blankly outside. It was a villa, and her room was on the second floor. The sun shone brightly outside, the magnolias were in full bloom, and the camphor trees had shed their dark green winter leaves, sprouting vibrant new ones. The air was filled with a rich floral fragrance, and birds sang sweetly among the leaves. It truly was April in the human world.

She was sick for over a month!
